my home button has been getting stuck i have to hold it down for awhile before anything pops up on my screen. The top button works, and i have done a soft reset it will work for a couple of min then revert back to how it was..

Periodically when i am using my iphone and i press the home button it get stuck in and is very difficult to get back out. This doesnt happen every time i use the home button but it is happening more and more frequently. It started happening about a month before the iphone warranty ran out and i didnt think much of it. However now the iphone has been out of warranty for a month it seems to be happening more and more frequently.

It had been working fine until this morning when the iPhone is now stuck in the loop of restarting and stuck in the Apple logo screen.I have tried to hold both the sleep and Home button to reset. My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.
