Mar 22, 2012
can i get a sim card for an unlock iphone 4 to use outside the country? i bought an iphone 4 unlocked but it didnt come with a sim card and my old phone the sim card wont fit so where can i get a sim to fit and work in the new iphone 4 in another country.
i am having problems unlocking my iphone so that i could use a sim from a diferant country.i followed some information the I got saying that i needed to go onto Itune and restore my iphone and that would unlock it but is did not work.
I want to buy apps online, but my credit card is from outside of ireland. If I change my location to the country my creditcard is from and buy the apps I want, my phone will not download them as they are from another 'store'. I cant seem to change the store that my phone buys apps from either. I wanted to try and buy a gift certificate instead, but I can't seem to do that either without a credit card in ireland, which I don't have.
My iphone 4s bought from Australia, why I can't get the warranty repair/replace in UK?I'v called Australia, they told me I can replace in UK. But Apple Uk told me thay can't do it for me.
I moved to Canada from Saudi Arabia and subsequently updated the itunes account with new Canadian credit card and changed country to Canada.
Afterwards, I am unable to download any apps. Updatation of old apps may be a problem, but I am concerned that I am neither unable to update old apps nor purchase new apps.
I just got my Curve 8520 unlocked, I am going to France in September. If I buy a sim card for france will my 8520 work? I read that something about different Mhz and it may not work with a French sim card.
I just put in my request to unlock my iPhone 4 from AT&T.My contract has expired, and my old phone number is no longer active as of about 2 weeks ago, I also no longer live in the US (I've already travelled abroad), but they said that it would have no problem to unlock my iPhone as it's all done via iTunes. I still have my old AT&T Sim card, but the number is not activate and like I said I'm in another country.
I have heard for the unlock process to be completed you need an activate sim card installed in the phone. Does it matter what carrier's sim I use (can I use a local one?) or does it absolutely have to be an AT&T sim? I'm in Dubai now and have an active prepaid du sim card (they said it can easily be cut to micro-sim).
Contacting AT&T from here is a nightmare (the "international" number they gave me won't dial out and the website won't let me access my old account info since it's closed now and thus can't access their web chat either).
to say it easy, "now i want to change my operator", i can restore it with a new SIM directly from iTunes?i have my iphone blocked to Telcel in mexico, but now i'm in France, can i buy a SIM card and restore my Iphone to use it legally with a French company?
The creeps at AT & T despite the tons I've spent over the years tell me my Torch is "not eligible" to be unlocked although my wife's pitiful Blackberry is. They also "can't" read WON'T tell me when it would be eligible. I'd love to use local SIM cards when traveling so my friends can call me on a local number.
When I live in US, I buy my iphone 4 (without contract) i paid full price in AppleStore in Briarwood ... but never realise that the iphone i lock to the at&t, because i already have sim card from this operator . I understand that, when i moved to the other country and put the local sim.
I sill keep the invoice (02.03.2011), and ... I don't what to do.
it was locked to the network Orange here in spain, the seller before giving it to me got it unlocked.but it doesnt not work with any other network except Orange.have tried (Vodafone,Movistar) also another t-mobile sim from germany... all give me the insert sim card(SOS) error. have checked in the options (MEPD)and all the options are disactivated, so looks like its unlocked correctly... and when i use it with a Orange sim(Original carrier) it works perfect.
I have a problem with my i phone ,My i phone 4 with serial no. 84040U7UA4S is closed to American communication network AT&T and now I live in Cairo Egypt so is there any way to convert it to be opened international to be able to use in Egypt kindly please if you are the key person of this problem please help and if not please forward this e-mail to the right person.
Basically, my phone isn't unlocked. It's on Orange and I've never had a problem with it before. I've had it for about a year now, using the same SIM card and it's all worked fine. My SIM card is Orange too and the same one I've been using since I got it, so I'm not sure why it's popping up with this message, I can't do anything on my phone now because it won't recognise my SIM? I've tried soft resetting, taking the battery out, taking the SIM out..
I am in Canada on Rogers, Basically,, they say that you can use Navignon's GPS all by itself while NOT using data. I wanted to get a practice run at doing this on my iPhone, because I am going to Europe where , obviously, I don't want to using my data. I know in Europe, I would turn roaming off. So my real question, is how do I really turn off my data plan at Rogers to try out of Navignon works on pure GPS? Turning off the 3G feature, I don't think would do the trick, and I tried going to Airplane mode, however that appears to shut everything off, including the GPS. PS I now have 3GS
