i have added pictures from my camera roll into different albums. but every time i try to delete the ones from the camera roll, it asks if i want to delete the picture from everywhere or cancel. how do i keep them in the other albums, but delete them from the camera roll?

Every time I take a picture with my iPhone 4s, a duplicate appears in my camera roll a few seconds later. At first I thought it had to do with the HDR feature, so I turned the "Keep normal photo" setting off. It didn't make the slightest difference.
Both pics are exact copies. The only differences are the size (one would be around 800k, the other one around 2.5MB) and the name (the largest one adds -1 at the end of it).

I took all kinds of videos and photos today and none are showing up in my camera roll. When I took/take them they show up on the bottom of my screen like usual. However, when I go to my photos and go to my camera roll no photos or video are showing up from today. I have locked and unlocked, reset my phone and everything. Nothing is saving my photos. I did not upgrade my OS/firmware.I read somewhere that it might be saving it to the root directory. If that's the case, how do I access it? View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a 4S running on iOS 5.0. I reset my phone a few weeks ago when I was playing around, and I restored it from my iCloud backup. Everything was fine except the filename counter for my pictures was also reset to IMG0001. I transfer pictures to my computer regularly so now I have many pictures with duplicated names, such as IMG0001.JPG and IMG0001 (2).JPG. This is much of an annoyance but I can live with that.
However I have even weirder things happening now. Let's say before I reset my phone I had shot a vidoe and the name was IMG0010.MOV. After the reset of course the video is gone, and I take pictures with my phone as usual. So I took a picture whose name as IMG0010.JPG again, and when I try to see it in the camera roll, I see the first frame of my old video! In the thumbnail view it is the right picture, but when I tap on it to view it, it shows my newly taken picture for about half a second, and then displays my old video. I guess there must be some old cache on my phone that override the picture display. Does anyone know how to fix it?
I should add that the picture is also displayed wrongly in my photo stream folder on the phone. On the other hand when I access the picture from the computer (in the DCIM folder, and in the synced photo stream folder) it is the right one. But I want to view the pictures on my phone! I can't take my computer with me anytime!

I updated from 4.0 to 5.1 and now when i open my camera roll it says there are no pictures and or videos taken. It says to take pictures click on the camera or whatever. So i do and i take a picture and try an look at it an there is no picture in my camera. I have completely restored it twice, rebooted many times, turned it off an on. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a photo in my camera roll on my phone that I believe is corrupted. I received it through the "Bump" app. After receiving the photo and adding it to my camera roll, when I go into that specific conversation in "Bump" the app crashes.
When I open my camera to take a photo, it shows everything fine, snaps a photo, and then crashes without saving. When I open my photos, I can go into every album except my camera roll, when I click on my camera roll it crashes.
I have Windows Vista and I can copy all the photos using the windows import photos, and when I click the "delete all after import" button, it will start to delete them, until it gets to that photo than stops.. And does not delete any photos out of my camera roll.
So I need a way to delete ALL of the photos out of my camera roll, without doing it manually, as that is clearly not a possibility. And a way to do it using Windows Vista.

I have thousands of photos on my camera roll. I do know you can select individual photos to delete off the roll and you can select more than one at a time but is there a better way? I keep hoping there would be a way to select groups of photos from my camera roll while my phone is connected to my macbook pro through iphoto.
