Sep 25, 2015I used to own a HTC one, about 3 years ago, went to iphone, and just recently came back to android, (now have an LG G3). My boyfriend went onto my maps to search for something, and lost it because an address (that I haven't looked up since I had my previous android) showed up in 'recent searches' ... WHY every past search I've made, even on another phone, are showing up on this new one?!

Apr 21, 2010This often happens when I unlock the touch screen (either by using the lock/unlock switch, or by slide out the keyboard). After the screen is lit, there pops up a window asking me to select a wifi network. If I press "cancel", it will do a wifi search again and asks me to select network again. This is quite annoying.I have Gmail, Web browser, facebook , and AccuWeather as "application shortcuts" on the main screen. I also have calendar, music player and wifi wizard as "widgets" on the main screen. As there is no widget that needs internet access, there is no option to "go to offline mode". I have also set "Show Wifi availability" to "Never".

But those files are really nudge sounds and not musics.So I really prefer it not searching directories other than the one I set to search. Feb 5, 2012My daughter (who lives in another town) and I just switched from Samsung Mesmerize to Electrify phones. We both have D-Link DIR-655 routers in our homes. Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.

It doesn't matter what I search for (Swiftkey, Angry Birds, Google Docs") it's always the same thing. If I search the Android Market in my web browser, pretty much every app says:This app is incompatible with all of your devices.

Apr 6, 2012I am trying to understand how iMessage works in relation to my other devices and my iphone. For instance, if I am using iMessage on my laptop, I can see those messages on my iPad and vice versa. But I can't see those messages on my phone. Same is true the other way around. If I send iMessages from my iPhone, I am not able to see them on my laptop or iPad.
I have set up iMessages on my phone to also accept messages from the same email address that is being used on both my desktop and my iPad but i am still not seeing those messages.
Was this just never meant to work that way or is my setup missing something where I am not able to see those messages that were on my desktop and iPad?
Example:
A message sent from my phone shows its from my phone number. I am not given the choice to send from the email address that I have also told it that it can accept messages from.
A message sent from my iPad or Laptop shows its from my email address. I am not give the choice to send from my phone number.

1) How do I sync and back up our iPhones on the new laptop without losing any data stored on the phone? and
2) I used to use windows contacts to sync contacts with itunes. I now have Outlook and would prefer to use that program for my contacts.Can I set this up with two different contact lists (i.e. one for me and one for my wife) that the phones will sync with? and obviously, how do I then sync the phones to those new lists?
