Aug 24, 2014My iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.2) will no longer ring or "ding" when I receive text (SMS) messages. I verified all my volumes are up,veĀ I tried a soft reset, and I even tried doing a hard reset--once by restoring the phone and another time completely starting it as if it were a new iPhone. I still have the problem. I don't know what else to try.

IPhone :: Why Can Siri No-longer Make Calls Or Text While Locked?
Apr 12, 2012It seems that after the last iOS update (5.1) I now have to type in my passcode and unlock my phone before I can use Siri to make a call or text. WTH? That completely defeats the purpose of using Siri at all for those tasks! Please tell me why this wasn't introduced as an option rather than FORCED on me. Or explain how I can get Siri back to how she was before, so I can make calls while driving. It is EXTREMELY unsafe to take your eyes off the road and stare at your phone while you type in the passcode so you can make a call. Siri was perfect before.

Jul 21, 2010I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my N97 was no longer connecting in 3G mode. I am definitely in a 3G covered area. I have checked all the obvious things - it is set up for dual mode connection (if I switch to UMTS only it can't find the network). I have done all the resets one could possibly think of. Before I head for a care-point to get a hardware fix, is there any obscure setting that I haven't thought of that might be clobbering the 3G connection?

It all connects up fine works great and then after about two weeks stops connecting when I get in the car. I can't get it to connect at all tried deleting the devices on everything and re pairing but it will no longer pair. I have paired another phone to the car stereo so it must be the phone. Is there anything i can do settings wise or does. It sound like a repair is needed to the phone.

Nov 28, 2011I have the Torch 9800 and I'm running Wndows XP with the most recent version of Desktop manager.Up until two weeks ago my phone and computer communicated beautifully, syncing, back-ups, file sharing, everything. But last week my computer and phone seemed to fail to see each other and now nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. The phone goes to the 'clock' screen as if it's plugged into a charger and doesn't display a connection issue on it's end, but the computer does not show that anything has been connected.So far I have:
1) Checked the USB connection to the comptuter
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried a different USB cable
4) Wiped and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I'm at a loss on how to get my computer and phone talking to each other again.

Aug 23, 2010I recently had to format my W995 as it was getting sluggish. It used to take a really long time to load once the phone was switched off. (It could be due to the mods though. The only two mods were Rodriguez' HDX 3.0 cam driver and LightEffects V3.) And finally, the other day, the phone turned unresponsive and I had to restart the phone but it would just show the standby screen and the screen would just turn off and turn on again.
I had to flash it with SEUS and it works well now. My only issue is that Opera Mini 5 (and the versions before that i.e. 4.2) simply doesn't work over wifi. It now only works using my 3G connection. It used to work perfectly fine before flashing. The Netfront browser does work over wifi and I've even manually entered the IP address, DNS, Gateway etc. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Local connections are enabled and other programs can connect over wifi.

essentially, is it possible to make animated pictures last longer? Specifically, MMS pictures. I have received a few, and they last MAYBE 5-6 seconds before stopping. I can restart them, but then they only last maybe 4-5 seconds.
I know it's not related, but I did check my browser general properties, and have already set "repeat animations" to "as many as image specifies". MMS and SMS options have nothing that relates to the issue, nor does the Messaging app options.insight? feedback? have a coke and a smile and shut the f--- up?!?!
