Sep 9, 2014I lost my iphone 5S unfortunately over the weekend and I was given a barely used iphone5 as a replacement.
I blocked my old phone through Optus and at the same time I had Optus give me a new sim card with my existing number, as so I could simply install the sim and then run a restore through iTunes back into my phone.
For some unknown reason, the iphone5 claims there is no sim installed?

Aug 22, 2014I have an iPhone 4S. I was required by my employer to download an app, RSA SecurID, for another level of security when working from home. After I did this, I noted that my visual voicemail was not available. After searching for answers, I reset the network settings. Visual voicemail came back just fine. Now the phone won't accept the correct password for my wifi. Funny thing is, though, that it does "see" the old network name, which incidentally, had the same password. The network name still showed up on the list, so I tried it and it connected. My MBP is connected to the network just fine. I have tried resetting the router, turning the phone off and on, turned wifi off and on in the General Settings. It just fails to connect.

It then asks me for a password. I assume this is the one also on the back of the router. However when I enter this I get a message 'Unable to connect to network'
Consequently if I use my phone to get to the internet, I am charged.

May 21, 2012Just changed ISPs (from Orange Wanadoo to BTInternet. Had the 'engineer' come out and do all the connecting stuff because I ALWAYS get it wrong. He said he had connected everything and all would be OK.
But it isn't. I wanted to check email on my iPhone, and it wouldn't. Took my phone to an O2 shop (where I bought it from) and bloke there got it going eventually.
Back home, I want to download the BTFON app, but when I enter my iTunes password, it is rejected. Can't understand what is going on, and getting very, very angry with it because virtually nothing works like it did.

May 29, 2012I have this issue on both my iPad and iPhone. When i get a calendar invite in my inbox (for example an exhange invite *.ics) there is no option to accept the invitation. I can open the event in mail, and view teh details, but there is no way to accept it. The invite also does not show up as an "invitation" in my calendar, althought it does show up in the actual calendar as an event that has not been accepted.
