Why is the text bubble sometimes green and sometimes blue when I text to the same person/number who has an iPhone 4s?

I was texting back and forth from my 4s to a fairweathered friend's 4s who is known for blackmail and threatening blackmail via social networks like FB. I noticed that some of my texts were showing up green and others were blue as normal. She suddenly accused me of forwarding texts when i actually hadnt so im assuming shes either paranoid and or forwarding my texts herself. she is very manipulative so it seems like she only accused me to distract me while she was doing it. would her forwarding them cause the ones she forwarded to be green instead of blue?

Sometimes when I am texting a recipient that has an iphone, the text message on my phone says "delivered" and the box is blue. Sometimes it is green and the box says "sent as text message". What is the difference? The recipient has said he isn't getting the ones that say "text message".

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 5s and my husband has an iPhone 4. We have the same iOS (7.1.1) and use the built in Messages app to send text messages. When I add an emoticon such as the smiling face with heart shaped eyes, my husband gets only an empty speech bubble. Â
I am choosing emoticons from the little world shaped icon beside my microphone, and if I choose the first emoticon - the regular smiling face, he gets that, but most of the others result in the empty speech balloon. Â
He can send me emoticons such as the smiling face with heart shaped eyes, and I receive the text just fine. Why his phone will not receive those texts?Â

When I create a message and I go through the contact list, I cannot see the blue iMessage icon in the list, beside the contact names.
I mean, after I type a letter, for example "a" I see the contacts but I don't see if they have enabke iMessage.
Then, once I select for example "Andrea" if he has iMessage the bubble becomes blue.
My question is: Can I see all the available iMessage contact? Is there any apps solving that?

Then someone else on my contact received the text I sent to my friend but they received it from her name. She didn't send anything to this person. I upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 a few days ago via iTunes. Everything was going well until tonight. I don't believe I was doing anything out of the ordinary, but directly after sending a text to another 16GB 5s, all previous messages were gone. I sent another message, and it's still in the contact thread (is that the correct term?) for that person.Â
Also, the home screen is showing 3 unread messages, and that's incorrect.Â
Steps taken:Â
Closed all open apps, held down lock button, swiped to power off, waited thirty seconds, rebotoed using lock button. Same result.Â
Restored using iTunes. Same result.Â
how I can get those messages back? Three years of messages; GONE.

I sent a text to my friend. They replied but it came as a seperate thread not as a reply to the one I had just sent. Usually I can scroll up and read all our texts in seperate boxes. I have the bb torch 9800. This is what I see: from the main screen click on test messages. It shows as a green bubble as if it is a draft message and 4 characters that I don't ever remember typing. But when I click on the message all I see is their reply message to me but can't see the 4 characters from the supposedly draft message that shows in the list of text messages. Also there is no box at the bottom to type my reply. If I go back to the list of text messages and click the bb button I can click reply but when I do once again all I see is their message but still no 4 characters of the draft message or text box for me to type in.

Just got a storm 9500, read everything i can about it but a icon has appeared that I can’t find anywhere and its bugging me. It looks like a small blue peach bubble on the top of the screen just under the date and a number next to it, i get that it’s not the new message icon, it seems to be a counter of some kind I think, I cleared all the messages i can find but it’s still there! Any help would be appreciated!
