I get a text and can see the preview but often when I got to read the message, it's gone. This is a new issue since I've updated to OS5.1

I believe this has been asked several times before but I couldn't find any solution to this issue. For only certain contacts, the earliest text messages disappear whenever I receive new ones. The "Load Earlier Messages" button shows up but after pressing it a number of times, it disappears and I know that there are even earlier messages that are not being displayed.

Basically, only about thirty out of several thousand messages have been recovered!
can anyone tell me how to get the little R on text messages to indicate that the person has read your text.I already have the little D on messages to show that the message has been delivered.

I have a number of pictures that have been sent and some important conversations I need to save; however, they are taking up a lot of memory on my phone and I would like to delete them, but still have access to them on the computer. I downloaded a free program called Appandora, but it locked up every time it started to save the second text message thread. The one that it did save was in a .txt file and was very difficult to read. I do understand that the texts are backed up when the phone is backed up, but I want them in a readable accessible file.

It is getting really annoying... I get a text message, I read it, and I go to look at a new text message and there it is looking all Unread! It may even make an indicator appear in the top bar (but I'm not 100% positive about that). I've seen this problem arise on PC's in Outlook, but it's definitely never been a problem of mine with cell phones before.

The 2nd time (same day) I hit cancel after I heard the message and since then it will not pop up and read me the message anymore. The only topics I can find on this are how to turn this feature off, I like this feature and want to know how to turn it back ON.

I was hoping/wondering if there was some way to read text messages on my computer when I have my phone plugged in through USB. 1. I want txt alerts to continue (every minute or two) until I have opened and read a text message. Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
2. I want to disable predictive text as I don't like the I-Phone algorhthym for this -- it causes me endless grief. Which model allows for this?
