How to protect iPhone against theft?I mean how to protect it aginst DFU mode. Because I have a password and a "find my iPhone" app, but they both will not be usefull if the thief will throw out sim card and enters phone in to DFU.
I had my iphone password stolen (by somebody who was living with me) and my iphone data backed up onto their computer without my knowledge. This includes my email account which has confidential information in it. My question is - If they were to sync a blank Iphone to their itunes would they have access to all my data? When they try to sync that data with the iphone would iphone ask of them to go through the process of setting the email account first and then sync the emails or just sync it without asking for email pwds? Is there a way to stop that given it has been a month? ( I know as I said I wasn't aware till late)...
am hoping someone can let me know if you need an anti virus software on your iPhone 4? I have been asked by my work to ensure that I have one but I don't think that one exists or is needed.looking for firm confirmation of this so I can show something official to work to assure them that it is all covered.

when looking through a antiglare iphone screen cover before application, it looks kinda fuzzy. Will the front facing camera be blocked or hindered through an anti-glare cover? Im holding off on pulling the trigger on which to buy; crystal or anti-glare. What are your thoughts?
I have lost my Sony Erricsson mobile model W580i, IEMI no. and bill photocopy has been submitted to Police deptt after an FIR has been lodged. If Police not reacting for tracking what should i do. will the company help in tracking mobile after knowing the FIR no and scaned copy of bill and other related documents?
I currently use the anti-glare Power Support film on my 3GS. I love the anti-fingerprint part, but I don't like the fact that I have to press so hard on the screen with the film on to type, etc..... Is there any other film that doesn't take so much screen functionality away?
The European Commission's DG Competition successfully forced Microsoft to allow users choice in the selection and installation of browsers.
Nokia's forcing of JokiuSpot, Qik, Boingo and Vlingo on customers and not allowing this bloatware to be uninstalled seems equally anti-competitive.
It would be nice to see DG Competition turn their attentions to the mobile software market. Perhaps this would finally rid those of us that don't want it from being forced to accept such software. It would also assist in ensuring fair competition in the mobile software market.
What's the difference between the HD Anti-Glare Film and the Crystal Film (http://www.powersupportusa.com/acces.../iphone-4.html)And does anyone know if they will be front, front and back, or all over?
Does anyone know where you can download free anti virus software for the 5530? i've tried a few sites (even trend micro) but none of the software i've downloaded is compatible with my phone.
i was looking for the best anti-virus for my PC and for my mobile phone, i really don't want to purchase any anti virus that would not fully protect my pc, I don't mind how much it gonna cost me I just want a full protection
I recently opened an SMS which contained a virus (wiped out my apps, games, texts & handset memory... ) but luckily it didnt affect my memory card. I can now use my phone again tho in a limited capacity, but i'm worried that the virus may still be lurking somewhere. I contacted '3' who sent me a link for a free virus scan via F-Secure, but when I followed the link it said my W995 phone was not supported (only a handful of SE sets are on its list). After a web search I found 'Matt Java antivirus free download' - but I don't know if this is safe or effective.
Are antivirus programs needed with Android? I ran one for a while on WM but it seemed to slow everything way down on the system.I thought I had read that android was fairly protected but it could pass from your phone to your pc when plugged in via usb.
I just got my iPhone yesterday, and with apple being the homepage for my mac, i was looking and noticed the iPhone 4s is supposed to come with the apps Find My iPhone and the hd 1080 video recording. Mine didn't?
Each time I try and sync my iPhone it gives me an error message that says "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected" What is going on here? Backed up phone restored software, etc. Nothing is fixing the issue.
Now this is speaking from a DEVELOPER point of view. Would you like to see iPhone exclusivity stop? To me, yes, obviously, because this means the App Store can be in more hands, and my apps can have a MUCH larger audience. Yes I know there is a lot of market share already, but look at VZW, T-Mob etc and if we got their eyes on our apps. you should be able to fill in the rest. What do you think from a developer point of view?
I bought a new iPhone in Okinawa and tried to register it on the Apple website, but it will not let me input a Japanese phone number. Should I use my old American phone number to sync my phone and keep all my previous iPhone information?
