I was tryign to use diskaid to transfer my music from iphone to mac i knew it would be too easy/good to be true...
Here is what it looks like when i try to do it:
It totally randomizes all of my music and playlists into random folders...thus if u have 1,000s of songs like i do its going to be a b*tch to have to sit through all of them and organize them
So I'd rather use a USB cable to connect to my device instead of SSH because that way I can be sure that there are no security threats like there are with SSH even if you can fix them by just changing your password. Therefore, I have found these two programs and was wondering which one was best. I see that DiskAid isn't free so would iPhone Explorer be the better choice? Also, when I want to use one of these programs, is it best to turn the iPhone off before you plug it in and access the files on it?
My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.
I am trying to transfer music to my N900 device but Ovi Music tells me it is connected in the wrong mode. It says" unplug your device and reconnect it, a menu will appear, and depending on the model, use one of the following: Media Player, Printing and Media and Media Transfer. The problem is that no menu appears on the screen of the N900. What should I do?
I have a Nokia 5800 express music. I had some trouble with it, when I turned it on, it just startet vibrating without starting, so I got that fixed. Now it won't update or transfer music. Since I got it back from the Nokia store, it have not been working with update on my computer. While it was repaired I also installed Windows 7.
OK, so we all know Ovi player is, uummm, a bit flaky?I've given up trying to use it and am now using Windows Media Player to transfer music to my X6. This works absolutely fine other than getting the album art onto the phone.
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
I teach how to make iPhone videos and lots of my clients use PCs and are struggling, unable to transfer music they have purchased on to their iPhones from their PC's. how PC users can transfer music on to their iPhones?Â
How do I transfer all of my songs, not just the ones purchased from iTunes, to my new computer? The computer with all my music on it was stolen, so my phone is the only thing that has all my music on it.
How do I transfer music from Itunes to my Iphone, without syncing the Itunes to the iphone? I recently bought a new CPU, so only the purchased music shows up on the Itunes.
So I bought a used Iphone and it has kick *** music. So I want to transfer music from that Iphone and add it to my already existing Itunes without losing any of those songs.
I have moved my iTunes library to a new Windows 7 PC and cannot transfer music from the new iTunes PC to my iPhone 4S. The iPhone will only accept music transfers from the original iTunes PC. I have come to understand that an iPhone can have only one "daddy" iTunes PC, but have not been able to find out how to change the "daddy". I have done a backup of the iPhone, and a "Restore to Original Settings". Then I restored the content using the new iTunes PC. My Apps and contacts, etc. are back on the iPhone, but it still won't accept music from the new iTunes PC.
How do I transfer my music from my computer to my iphone 4? the music is in a folder on my computer and i cant figure out how to transfer it to my phone, I connected my phone to my computer and nothing happened. They told me at the store I would be able to do this.
After having to re-boot my PC, I unfortunately lost some of the music on my iTunes account. The songs are still able to be played on my iPhone but in the iTunes account, to the left of the tick box there is an exclamation mark, and when I click on the song to play it, a box comes up telling me that "the song can not be used because the original file could not be found." Is there any way of me being able to get the songs from my iPhone back onto my iTunes account?
