My son has an iPhone4 and up until this point has been only purchasing songs throughs his phone and has never connected to iTunes. We purchased a new iMac and I've been trying to set him up. However, when I go into 'sync' his music I get a warning that only songs on iTunes will be transferred, and all others erased.

I have a Mac Mini that I recently bought and transfered my iTunes Library from my previous Macbook to the mini. I can see all the songs in iTunes (running in the Mini) and can also play them, all playlists intact.
Now when I tried to synch my iPhone with the iTunes (in the Mini) it all went fine, except that after the synching a lot of my songs are missing from my iPhone.

Doubletwist even though it claims mtp support my htc one can't get songs sync perfectly. Try using doubletwist and sync a playlist and tell me they don't receive an error? Htc Sync manager takes forever to load and the playlists it imports from itunes duplicate everytime I start the program. Any other options besides drag and drop? I prefer not to use google music as I want my tracks coming my my itunes.

I honestly don't know what happened one day all of my music just vanished off of the system. But I still have all of my songs, books, movies etc on my iPhone. I know you can transfer things from your Macbook, imac etc from iTunes to your iPhone, but is there a way to do it the other way around?, It will be much appreicated, my iTunes library started 6 years ago, that's a lot of music lost!

I just got a new to-me imac. Just totally cleaned the hard drive, added Snow Leopard 10.6.3. When I plug in my iphone (which use to be on a pc...) itunes doesn't show it on the left. Whenever I try to sync my playlists onto my MotoACTV from Itunes only half of the songs make it. I received a message stating that "662 files are protected" so they did copy over. How do I unprotect those songs? I have looked in Itunes and cannot find out how.

I downloaded some of my old CD's to itunes and I've noticed that the songs are not downloading to my iphone, even when I go to my phone and music and check the box. I've sync'd like 5 times and nothing.
I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
I have no idea what's going on. Is is a PC issue? Is it an itunes issue?
When I use the refresh function on the music library to transfer new songs, the new songs don't get transfered on the amount stays the same. How can I add new songs? Is there something wrong with the device?

I have sucessfully converted songs into acc files, deleted the converted files from iTunes (but not the computer), found the m4a files on the PC, converted them to m4r, transferred the m4r files back to iTunes and found them under "Tones".
What I cannot do is to get them to be found on my iPhone 3GS.
Syncing the iPhone does not appear to transfer the ringtones..

I connected it to my iMac and it downloaded an HTC app, which opened and started synching music from iTunes, which I stopped because I don't want iTunes to synch with my phone I just want to transfer what I want to the Phone (BIG iTunes library). 90% of the songs are unprotected MP3s. I've done everything possible. I've renamed the files to M4R as suggested from m4u. I've just dragged onto the iphone in devices and not in the music library or ringtone library and nothing. Under the Ringones tab on the iphone when connected to iTunes shows no ringtones.

My iTunes library is perfect with all artworks for every album and songs. Since not long ago, on my iPhone 4 I started to miss some of the artwork on my phone. The artwork is in iTunes all good but it won't transfer over the phone or ipad.
What I tried to solve my problem so far:
-Soft reset the iPhone
-Hard reset the iPhone (holding power and home button)
-Restore the iPhone from backup
-Change the artwork in iTunes for a new one (Refresh it)
-Try to paste an artwork on the iPhone via iTunes in the devise section using command I on all the album.
-Look for third party software like Tuneup to get the artwork.

I'm having trouble with using the backup from my previous Iphone 5S to my new HTC One M8.
I have made several backups and using Itunes I am always able to make a complete restore.
I am on a macbook air. The newest Itunes version.
But using HTC Sync manager I am only getting to the point: Transfer and Backup, Iphone, getting started. I only get the message We cannot find any backup of your Iphone in Itunes.
I have recently had my lap top repaired and my Itunes has had to be erased, I have reinstalled Itunes and my Itunis es music library is now empty and I did not make a back up, is there anyway I can transfer all the music from Iphone back in to my music library if I sync it with Itunes library it is going to wipe all the music on my phone
