I had music on 2 computers that I purchased through Itunes. When I tried to transfer one set of songs to the other computer it synced (songs showed up on that computer's itunes), but now won't let me put those songs on my Iphone4s? How do I get those songs to sync with my phone.

My current Macbook Pro is now five years old and I soon plan on buying one of the new flash based Macbook Pros. I would like to turn my old Macbook Pro into an Itunes/media server and keep all of my music stored there. I do not want to keep any music on the new computer. Is it possible to sync my iphone with the new computer (contacts, apps, etc.), but transer music off of the other computer onto my iphone. If it can be done, can it be done wirelessly, or would I have to use a USB cable every time I want to update my music.

I just realized, while commenting on another thread, that I am no longer tied up by wires. Ever since I switched to L920 (and now 1020) and Windows 8 - since Zune has become useless - I've found myself going wireless (including charging). I think I've used Windows Phone Connector, or whatever its called once, and I completely forgot about it. We can now update/upgrade software via cellular radio, and sync our files to the cloud (Skydrive and ATT) and access them from any device. Hell even my music (Xbox Music) that was stored on my broken laptop just appeared on my new laptop and on my new phone without me even lifting a finger.
Yes, I know we still need it for times when we don't have internet access, but I can't remember the last time I did not have internet access. I just find it so much more liberating.
I have been using a friend's computer, which has a CD drive, to purchase music from iTunes and burn my CDs (purchased years ago) onto the computer for synching with my iPhone4. Well, that computer finally "died," and I purchased an Ultrabook, which does not have a CD drive. However, I did not think much of this, as everything these days can be downloaded, it seems.
Well, when I hooked my iPhone up to my new computer (after installing iTunes on the new computer), it only synched the songs I had purchased from iTunes. It did not synch ANY of my own music, which I burned from my CD collection. I tinkered with some of the synch settings, and all of them will seemingly wipe out my iPhone library and replace it with the iTunes library from the new computer.
To clarify, about 90% of my music on my iPhone comes from my CD collection, which I spent WEEKS transferring So, going through that BS again is not an option, nor is buying all the music (some of which iTunes does not have), since I already purchased all of my CDs.

When I synced my Iphone 4 on the Air, ITunes it says that you have now used 3 out of your possible 5 synced computers.Is there a way to regain the other two synced computer uses? View 6 Replies View Relatedi am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

I lost many of my apps (330 apps and 32 folders), Why its so complicated for Apple to open more than 11 Pages on iOS 5.1?
When restoring iPhone to factory defaults, the same thing will occur...
So when you open Settings General Usage (after a while you see installed APPs) you notice that these apps either deleted (because of syncing), or got hidden(icons disappeared)
Is it so difficult for Apple to that? Or is it Apple's Policy not to do so?
What will go wrong if I open more than 11 pages for my APPs ? In my Samsung Galaxy I did opened more than 30 Pages ! Why using the bluetooth is complicated? Why it is not compatible with Non-Apple bluetooth products ??

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3gs with Installous and also the appsync plugin. I have no problem installing and running apps using intallous but when I go to sync my phone to my computer via iTunes it always removes the apps I had installed. A friend of mine doesn't have this problem but he is also using an older version of the iPhone. Is this a normal problem or do I need to install another plugin?

I've tried to reinstall the 4.0.1 firmware, reinstalled iTunes but it doesn't work.I had this problem before when I tried to add a picture to the iPhone - but it didn't let me. So someone said - remove the iPod Cache Folder, so I did and now I can't sync any pictures.What happens is that when I press "Synchronize" - it synchronizes - but no pictures added.The Camera Roll is fine - it's just when I try to add something from a folder.I've tried different folders, removed everything to do with iPod Cache Folder. My iPhone is jb on 3.1.2 and I have the latest version of iTunes (9.1.1.12) and for some reason it will take forever to backup or it won't transfer any of my apps from my iPhone. The hard drive on my laptop was damaged so I had to have it replaced along with the re-installation of vista so my songs, pics, etc were transfered except for any program which could not be done. Ibtried to use iTunes 9.0.1 but it said some new file was installed by a newer version of iTunes so it would not open, i tried rebooting my phone, iTunes, and even the laptop but it does not help, I have tried googling it and searching here on the forums and found no answer. So what can I do to fix it, I need a working backup and I need my apps or else I have download about 105 apps which will be annoying and long. I think I heard something about the newest iTunes which I have does not allow jb iPhones to sync.

I have purchased and downloaded (through iTunes) six songs from a particular artist, and added these songs to two different playlists on my iTunes. However, five of them will not sync to my iPhone. They are checked, and I am able to play them through iTunes on my computer without a problem (Windows 7). However, on my iPhone, only the one song shows up.
I have deleted the songs and re-downloaded them, but they still won't sync. I also tried unsyncing all music, and then re-syncing, but they still don't appear. My iTunes and iPhone iOS are both completely up to date. These songs worked fine on my iPhone 3GS, but ever since I got my 4S, they've never shown up.
