IPhone :: Search Screen Keyboard Not Hiding Itself When You Leave The Search Screen In IOS 5.1.1?
Jun 22, 2012Is there a known issue with the Search Screen Keyboard not hiding itself when you leave the search screen in IOS 5.1.1? Ever since I upgraded, if I go to the search screen, then flick the screen back to the first Aps page, the keyboard stays there in the middle of the screen and I have to click the off button off and on again.

Feb 8, 2012If I press the headset button, a black screen pops up with the text "initializing" (except in Italian because that's the language I use), and nothing else happens. The voice command interface does not appear and it doesn't work at all. Tried clearing data and doing other basic things but the problem keeps happening. Not sure if it's a bug with the phone's software or with Google Search.

IPhone :: Search Screen Keyboard Keeps Overlapping Next Menu Screens
Apr 8, 2012It's about a 4S 32G. While being in the search screen, when I tap the home button (to return to the 1st menu screen) it actually returns me to the first menu screenas it should but does not remove (hide) the search keybord! So, half of the menu screen is hidden under the keyboard. I can scroll to the 2nd screen and so on but I cansee (and tap) only the half of each screen as the other half is under the keyboard ... I solve the problem either by restartingthe phone or by just pressing the power button (getting the phone in sleep mode and then come back).

BB Torch :: Browser Does Not Have The Options To Search Via A Search Engine
Nov 29, 2011Pulled the battery on my phone today and now Browser does not have the options to seach via a search engine. Its just an address bar. Ex. If I type yahoo, it will just go to [URL] It used to show the search engines I could use. Also, in the options it would let me choose my default before, now there is nothing in the options about search engines.

Nov 22, 2013I am having a debilitating issue with the 1520. The bing search window popping up when my hand is no where near the search button. It exits me out of any app I am in and in some cases it freezes and I cannot press anything or exit the search screen. I have the Belkin folio wallet case and I noticed when closing the case it activates the search button. I lowered the touch sensitivity and this seemed to remedy that issue however the constant pop up of the bing search screen continues. I am going to do a wipe and reset of the device. Perhaps I have a lemon or maybe this device is not ready for primetime?

Mar 9, 2015My nexus 5 is having some issues. Every time I go on google, and type something in my screen bounces back to a blank search. For example, I go on google and type in something like, i don't know, car and driver, and then click search, the screen will search but then revert back all of a sudden to the home screen. I'll do it 2 or 3 times and then it finally works. Have any of you had this issue where the screen bounces back to a blank search?

Dec 7, 2012I got a voice mail pop-up saying I had 49 New Voice Messages. Now I have the number 49 and a really tiny message indicator with a line pointing up from the middle of the reels. If I then get a voice message, that number and the message icon appears to the left. After I listen to the vm, both will disappear. If I turn the phone off and turn it back on, the 49 and little icon are back. Any ideas? I have the BB Bold 9900.

Mar 13, 2012where the onscreen keyboard doesn't hide / close / disappear when you leave the "Search iPhone" screen? It happened a couple of times in at least one other app (App Store) but happens every time with the search screen and only since I upgraded to IOS 5.1. The only way to clear the issue is turn the phone on and off, which is just a bit too Windows ;-)
The phone ia about 18 months old, has never been jailbroken and has always had upgrades applied as they come out.

Apr 17, 2012I tried call someone the screen flickered and went white. I can turn it off and back on and it will work fine but when I lock it or is goes black, and goes back onto the white screen. ive tried everything i can without taking it apart. I dont have any warrenty or insurance for it. I got it from my sister and ive had it for about a year and not dropped it once! just abit battered from when she had it. Ive been told to buy a new screen but im not paying for a new screen and then someone to fit it for me :/

May 25, 2012Today i forgot to bring my iphone with me, when i came home i noticed that my iphone did not respond to the power button. I have tried several solutions like putting it in DFU Mode, reset, leaving it charged on my desktop/wall for no less than 2 hrs etc and of course its jailbroken, i also tried booting it in tethered mode but these dont work.

Jun 16, 2012I tried to restore my iphone to factory settings and now I am stuck at the activation screen. The message reads"Your Iphone could not be activated because the activation Server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iphone to iTunes to activate or try again in a couple of minutes". I am going on 3 days now. The phone is connected to my computer. Itunes is open but there is no indication that the iphone is connected. Apple support told me via email to uninstall itunes and re-install it. I did but the result is the same. When I try to restore/activate it appears to process and the following mesage appears" It may take up to 3 minutes to activate your iphone" but after the time expires it goes right back to the message above. When I hold down the home button, Emergency Call, Start Over, WiFi Settings and Cancel buttens appear. Nothing else works with or without the SIm card removed. Currently only my Wifi connection seems to register.

Jul 5, 2012I was browsing the internet with a low battery and then my iPhone switched itself off, I assume because of the battery. Ive plugged it into my charger, first to a Mac and then to the mains. It keeps staying on the apple screen for ages, then going blank, then back to the apple screen for ages again. Ive tried holding the sleep button to switch if off but it stays on the apple screen. Ive also pressed and hold sleep and the home button for 25 seconds - this eventually turns the screen blank, and then back to the apple screen. A couple of times the screen where you input your passward to unlock the phone comes on, both times Ive got as far as inputting the first number and then the screen switches back to the apple screen.
Im away from my mac and itunes that I use with this phone so havent been able to try to connect it to that yet.

Stuck At Activate IPhone 4 Screen
Dec 10, 2014I got this Iphone 4 from my sister and her husband got the Iphone, got home noticed that they formatted the phone then connected via WiFi to only find out that my sisters husband had the Find my Iphone feature ON! No she didn't split from him and take his phone, he upgraded lol. I wish the problem could be as easily solved as giving it back to them and having them hook it up to their PC but they DON'T have one? WoW! and whats worse even is the fact that apparently every time they got a new Iphone hes used a NEW EMAIL address for his Apple ID! So they dont remember the Email address let alone the password. My sister said shes called the ATT and they'll send her an Email, but that doesnt sound right can ATT have access to Find My Iphone feature? And If not what is the proper steps in getting this resolved! I use these iphones as media devices, NOT phones I listen to podcasts and watch movies thru them nothing more.

Stuck On Set Up Screen - IPhone Is Connected
Jun 20, 2014I have followed the process of updating my iphone to ios7, and i keep choosing the option to restore my phone through 'itunes backup'. I connect my phone to itunes, i let it sync and copy over all my files and once this process is over, my phone stays on the 'iphone is connected' screen showing the diagram of the cable and the itunes logo. At this point, i'd expect to be able to get into my phone and use it as normal, once its asked for my old passcode lock probably?
I unfortunately can't do this as the top power button doesn't work and I used to use the assisted touch button to turn off my phone. So i can't get into my phone to adjust these settings either...Â

Aug 25, 2014my iPhone 4 is now stuck on starting itself up, the screen lights up, apple logo appears, it vibrates and then repeats that all over again. Prior to this my phone had a message on it saying it could not make or receive calls, which is why i turned it off in the first place as most problems seem to be resolved by that. Earlier today, before all this my phone was working absolutely fine and no problems at all - there seems to be no explanation to this !! I have tried holding down the home and lock button as well but this does nothing.

Nov 3, 2014Is there not a way to remove the horizontal Google search bar from all, or even some of my screens? All the other widgets and items on our main screens can be long pressed and removed, but this one just opens no matter how I press it.
It is odd because there is an option to add it as it is showing with the other widgets in the widget menu, but no way to remove it. I just find it an annoyance that you can't move it or delete it. I had the same search bar on my S3 and could delete it.
