IPhone :: SIM Card Is Missing?

I receive a message which says SIM card is missing, and the phone is no longer a functionable phone. I have tried to re-activate my iPhone4 to the factory level, and now I am stuck where the phone says "please insert a SIM card and try again". Of course the SIM card is in the phone, but the phone does not recognize it. I have tried to take it out and put it in the phone again, but still the same message appears again and again.

I buy bold 9000 few months a go from Dubai UAE market, i did not buy the network pattern together i am using my etisalat prepaid card. from begining i am missing someof icons like ( GPS, Memory card not showing also i con not go directly to memory card ) like nokia and other mobile shows etc could you please help me out to know whats problem in my phones.

Yesterday I made a light mistake. Because I bought a bigger sd card for my D6603. During the copy and installation of the new SD card in my phone, I used the "move to SD card" function. Several apps were transferred which was fine. Without thinking I reinstalled the SD card a second time. After this I realized my mistake. 14 apps were missing in my launcher. Most apps I could reinstall on the phone and then move to SD card to recover them. But only on app is missing. I dont know yet if it is a default app from 5.1.1. installation or a downloaded one.
1.) Do you have a picture of side 1 to 3 of an fresh installed D6603 with 5.1.1? So I can compare the installed apps.
2.) How can I found out the name of the missing app in a not rooted 5.1.1.?

I own a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, and I just bought it less than a month ago. A peculiar thing happened to me today- my phone (or my SD card) simply decided to "forget" all the stuff that I had saved on it (on the SD card), more precisely, copied from another phone and from the laptop. It erased ONLY the things I saved there (my music and pictures from my laptop and my previous phone, and probably other stuff that I don't even remember I had on it). All the folders that the phone itself created on my SD card (camera pictures, Bluetooth, downloads, folders linked to apps like other camera apps and so on) stayed untouched. I first noticed that something strange was going on when I connected my Xperia Neo to my laptop in order to copy some music to it. When I opened the folder I created on the card, only some of the data was there, not all of it. I disconnected the phone, and unmounted the SD card, took it out, and then put it back in, I think I did this more than once. When I put it back in, the thing mentioned in the beginning happened- all the stuff that I put there was gone. I checked the card once more by putting it in my laptop, and there it was, half-empty. Does anybody know what the problem could be? I'm confused because of the arbitrariness (I don't know what else should I call it) of the items removed. I thought I accidentally touched the "Erase SD card" option, instead of Unmount SD card, but then it would erase ALL the content on it, wouldn't it? I just wanted to check if anybody had a similar problem and could just explain to me what happened, I am aware that I will not get my music and pictures and other files back, I simply cannot understand how this is possible. No other problems with the phone, except for my display turning on/off on its own, but I thing I got that fixed with Automatic Task Killer app.

I have about 8 gigs worth of music on a 16 gig class 6 SD card in my D3. Every so often some music files will disappear and LOST.DIR will then have numeric files in its folder. I do not know why this is happening, but I am not the first who seems to be having this issue.
I thought I was doing something wrong that was causing the SD card to unmount incorrectly but my D3 has not been USB connected all morning and I have lost 140 files, and correspondingly LOST.DIR now has 140 numeric files.

So I got a new Samsung Galaxy s5, and transfered an SD card to the phone. I decided to move all photos from the SD card to the phone, and some seem to have dissapeared during the process. Have checked all the folders in the phone, but still cannot find them.

all the recent photos that I have taken apparently do not show up when trying to view them on my PC. I am using a PNY MicroSDHC Class 10 SD Card. I only noticed this just now when trying to transfer some of my recent photo images to my pc - unfortunately, they are only in thumbnail size.I can view the DCIM.thumbnails but they (large 8mp size jpg) are missing in the DCIMCamera folder. > this is examined when plugging into PC (USB Mass Storage)I tried searching the entire photon for the JPG's by date but the full size ones are not there. Only the thumbnails of the recent and old and old large size photos are there.
I took a few shots right now and the same thing is happening. I have set the camera to save on SD card.All my past images/videos and files/documents are still viewable in full size on the SD card via windows explorer. I tried to power down and remove-reinsert SD card but the recent images in full size are not there.I did a search via windows explorer for all JPEGs on the entire drive but it seems all of the recent photos I took are not there, only the thumbnail files.Also, I had purchased this card "as is" new and never did any formating - it seemed to have worked okay up until now.

Well basically i have bought this amazing phone xperia play, however downside is the internal memory only 400mb ( i mean seriously) but anyway ive been 'app exploring' and downloaded so many to my sd, but some were un movable from the phone i do not know why. so upon getting full i thought it will be a good idea to give it a reboot, upon doing that, when i revisited the phone ive lost all my apps on my sd card, funny enough i still have my photos and media on the sd card.
also in the settings>applications?managing applications and in the sd section its showing 2.90 gb availible of 7.99 or somrthing, basically the apps are there but i can't view them(thats what i gatherd from this issue)

My Apple Mobile Device Usb Driver Does'nt Show up in my Device Manager. But when i go Control panel>> Admin Tools>> Services its there but when i go Start>>Run type in devmgmt.msc an the device manager comes up an under the heading Universal Control Bus Contoller the Apple mobile device usb driver is suppoed to appear but it doesnt all my other usb attached devices do

ok so I'm running iPhone 3G 3.1.2 unlocked with blacksn0w on Orange UK and well I have noticed my mms icon has gone walkies anyone able to help me with this one? I wiped my iPhone when I noticed thinkin I'll just rejailbreak and it will be fixed. so I wiped it, activated with an O2 payg sim and the icon was there but after blacksn0w its gone, can anyone help me with this?

One thing, among other things, that I think is missing is the ability to type in different font types....such as bold, italic...then times new roman, helvetica, comic sans, etc. With how powerful the iPhone is, don't you think it should be an option? I really don't think that is material for iOS5, but just as an extension of iOS4. Post what other things are missing....widgets, whatever...

so last night after jailbreaking the iphone 4 i noticed that the MMS and Facetime are missing.. yeah, i checked the settings under phone tab but still the facetime menu for on-off is missing. MMS is missing too!
this morning i upgraded my itunes to 9.2.1 and upgraded the iPhone 4 as well from 4.0 to 4.0.1! after restoring itunes will ask you if you want to restore on your back-up or as a new iphone 4 something like that. do not go on that step! instead go to your safari on your iphone then do the jailbreaking. i did not use wi-fi. i typed jailbreakme.com and not jailbreakme.modmyi.com
after jailbreaking go to settings and find phone tab. you should see now the facetime and turn it on. check also your MMS. you will now see the camera icon on the compose message.hope this will work for you guys having problems with facetime and MMS
EDIT: i did this step on my iPad 3G and no still luck..

The keyboard on my iPhone 4S is not appearing anymore. I can't type any messages. I tried restteing the iPhone but the keyboard still does not come up when required. I can only place the cursor by tapping, but no keyboard appears.

I upgraded to 5.1 a few days ago and the "built in" smart playlists like "Recently Added", "My Top Rated", etc are missing from the Music app on my phone (iPhone 4, Verizon). All I see on the phone are my Genius playlists.I see the "Recently Added", "My Top Rated", "Recently Played" lists on my Phone in iTunes under DEVICES, but they are gone from my phone.I am able to create a smart playlist ("Recently Addled") and it *does* sync to the phone.I supposed I can get "Top Rated", etc, back, with a new smart playlist.Is there a limit to the number of playlists that will sync to the phone?

i downloaded a home wallpaper application on cydia, and upon installing it, my icons are not aligned properly, i removed the home wallpaper application, it just made it worst, now the gap in between icons are so big and the dock is missing.

With the most recent OS update (iOS5.1, I think), photos from the last 6 months or so disappeared from my iPhone. Possibly from the last OS update...
Anyway, I did not receive an error message - they just disappeared! Are they gone for good? I have a 3gs, 32g.

My wife had her iphone 4 replaced under warranty. She had not backed it up recently so the apple technician backed it up to the iCloud before setting up the new phone. After the data download completed to the new phone, a number of her apps are missing. How do i restore them? I saw that syncing to itunes does not work with the cloud turned on. I recently had my iPhone (4, 16GB, GSM from AT&T) unlocked (by AT&T, and saw confirmation in iTunes). I am now using a prepaid carrier, and needed to change my APN settings for there system, however the APN settings are not available in the phone (Settings >> General >> Network), the only option I have is Cellular Data (on/off). I wound up using unlockit to load an APN profile for my carrier, home come if the phone is unlocked we cannot change the APN settings (something we need to do in order to use data on ohter carriers)? AT&T unlocked the iPhone for me but all the settings still point to AT&T unless I use alternative means.
I did not know if I was mising something or if this feature is not enabling properly on unlocked devices, or what was happening, I was hoping maybe some other people have figured out how to make this option show, or if they have not maybe Apple or AT&T need to see that the Ulocked devices are not able to change data settigns from AT&T settings, I am not sure what is happening, but I would like to fix it (hopefully, or at least make it noted that it is a problem).
I have tried Reloading iOS from iTunes (recovery) and that pops up the Message "Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked" in iTunes, but I do not see the APN settings, I do not want to Jailbreak the iPone and I should not have to since I have it unlocked, I just want to be able to change the settings to allow other carrier data plans.
