I removed my Safari to load a web tracking browser that was not compatible with Safari. I removed per the instructions of the new web browser. I want to delete this web browser now and reload Safari. The biggest inconvenience with the other browser is its inability to link with email or messages and so I have to load URL's manually.

I read this in a post somewhere on the forums and I just want to make sure. Could someone with a 3GS on iOS4 verify this by opening up Safari, opening up 8 full sized webpages (not mobile formatted webpages), going back to the home screen and opening up the most graphic/memory intensive app you have (Real Racing or something), playing around with it for a bit and then going back into Safari and checking each tab for content?

I have to refresh Mail twice to make messages stay in my inbox, else new messages disappear and do the same thing the next time the iPhone checks for e-mails (which is very annoying because if I leave it it'll vibrate over and over again because of just one e-mail).Restoring doesn't do it, and my iPod touch actually does the same thing too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving just upgraded to the iPhone 4 from a 3G, I'm so used to everything working so smoothly that I'm starting to expect I can use it more like a computer. So its slightly disappointing to see that there's an 8-pages-open-at-a-time limit in Safari. For example, I like to click a bunch of thread links on macrumors just to read them one by one, but now you can only have eight at a time before the first ones you clicked start disappearing. Don't get me wrong, on the 3G after 3 pages were open, it would either start to get very slow or just crash, so this is a huge improvement, I just thought that with the 512mb of RAM it would be a bit more capable now. Was this the same situation as it was before? (mainly on the 3GS I guess)
