When i take a photo on iphone and then sync with iMac, iPhoto will open and ask to import the photo, which is working as it should. But next time I connect up, it asks to import the photo again. Basically is always asks to import the whole camera role every time. Is there a way to stop this? (note: I don't use iCloud, as OS is too old).

Select another drive." When did I select a drive? How can it be changed?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since I got the Iphone 4S, it's been corrupting my pictures occasionally during import. It's sad, because I usually have it set to delete the image after importing, so the uncorrupted image is lost forever. Below is an example of how the import destroyed a really nice picture of our newborn baby.
I'm running snow leopard, with iphone version 5.1. Originally I was using iphoto to do the import, but I read somewhere that image capture might fix this problem. But the problem still occurs even with image capture. Sometimes there are multiple "color lines" through the picture, although the one below only has one. Also, sometimes the image doesn't just change color across the line. It can also become misaligned, so tweaking the color isn't enough.
I'm not sure about this, but I think the problem may occur more frequently when I have a lot of apps sharing CPU. So I suspect it's a bug related to context switching. I'm not sure whether snow leopard or the iphone is the problem, although I don't remember it occuring with my older iphone 4.
I have noticed the problem tends to occur in batches of consecutive photos, which is why I think it has to do with memory swapping due to concurrent applications.

I now have a challenge when I sync my phone to my calendar because somehow I end up having duplicate entries of events. The entries show up on my microsoft exchange calendar and on my personal calendar as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Google calendar as my default and have only ever synced this calendar with my Storm. I use Google Sync, and have all the settings set so that it SHOULD only show these calendar items. While I had issues before with GoogleSync duplicating Contacts, that seems to have been resolved (with the help of folks here) and I've never had such a problem with the Calendar.
Anyway, a few days ago I started noticing that all my calendar entries are being duplicated. Clicking around, in the menu I found that I now have the option of selecting among 4 calendars associated with the 4 email accounts I have syncing with my Storm (I don't recall seeing this beforel) I've tried moving the selection from "Show All Calendars" to only showing my Google calendar, which works for the moment, but as soon as I leave the calendar then go back in the duplications appear again.
But, here's the odd thing: the duplicate entries are showing up as being from one of my 3 Yahoo email accounts. The thing is, though, I don't use that calendar for anything and have confirmed that there are absolutely no entries in the calendar for this particular Yahoo account. I've also confirmed that I do not have duplicate entries in my Google calendar.
I've clicked around all the options and settings I can think of, searched help and here and I'm coming up blank.

Just "upgraded" my Palm Pre for a iPhone 4 and going crazy trying figure out how to move my pictures out of the photo roll and into different albums. From what I have tried it seems making different albums only tags the photo but doesn't actually move it. Any suggestions as to how I can have pictures in different albums without them staying in the photo roll also? Do I need to use an app to be able to do this?

this has been a problem with two differenent iphones i've owned - i have about 4,400 photos on my iphone, but only about 1,600 will import to my iMac through BOTH iphoto and image capture. all i want is every single photo on my iphone to be backed up as a usable .jpg in it's original file size on my iMac - why does this seem to be impossible for me? i've scoured forums for a similar problem, but have not found myself a fix. in iphoto - the import stalls out at around 2,800 count and just sits there - so alas i only get about 1/3 of my photos.in image capture, it goes through all the photos and imports "what it wants" i guess, skipping huge chunks of photos, about the same amount as iphoto. i'm beginning to think something is corrupted, or perhaps there is a specific photo or vid that is crashing both applications - if i only get a similar count of photos from two different imports.

it deletes all my photos. I have since then began to import my photos to my Computer.However, after restoring again, i realized when I sync my photos to my iPhone they are in a seperate folder called Photo Library? Why? I don't like how I can't just sync the camera roll to the PC. (E.G When I delete a photo from my phone and then sync it up to the PC it would just delete the photo from the comp, and if I add a photo it would add the photo to my specific folder, therefore keeping a synchronicity) Is there absolutely anyway to fix this, i dislike having the seperate folders, thing is.. I have an iMac and a iPhone. I used iPhoto to transfer my camera roll pictures to the mac. my mac got the blue screen and I ended up having to erase and install from my CD. In the process i lost iPhoto (Im using SL).All of my photos are still on the iPhone under "events" but i am afraid to sync to the pictures folder and have them all get wiped.
