I have two apple id's; one I used to download music, and another for my phone. I know there is no way to fully delete one account and just use one, but how do I merge the two accounts so I can use one login name and receive the same information. This will make it so I dont have to keep logging out and logging in for different reasons.
I feel like this should be a very simple task. I simply want all of my contacts (i.e. yahoo, google) to be merged and saved into iCloud. How can I do this?
I started in a new position not long ago with a BES Express server. First time BES admin, so go easy on me
I have a user who had a Bold 9700, which contained 5 address books all called Desktop. 3 of these were empty, one had 403 contacts and the other had 452 contacts. The one with 403 contacts sync'd up with Outlook no problem, however it seems as though whenever he added a contact directly to the device it went to the other list with 452. Blackberry Desktop can't seem to see these contacts to sync to the computer.
He was due a device upgrade, so we went to a Torch 9800. I backed up the data from his old device and restored it to the new one. Now I have 2 address books; one called Desktop with 403 items and the other called Unknown with 452 items. Again, the "Unknown" one can't be seen by Blackberry Desktop Software and won't sync to his PC.
All the fixes I've managed to find have involved deleting his lists on the device and resyncing from the Outlook client. This doesn't help me unfortunately, as he has hundreds of contacts on his device which don't exist in Outlook at all.
how I can either get the desktop software to see the "Unknown" list, or merge the two together.
After updating the telephone I synchronized my contacts list by using my Facebook contacts and by synchronizing my calender in outlok. This resulted in a contact list with each item doubled up. Is there a smart & fast way of merging the two contacts with the same name into one ?
I recently purchased an xperia ray to which I moved my old SIM from SE K700i. The SIM had many contacts with multiple phone numbers (mobile number, house number.etc) under a single name, but when I viewed it on xperia ray , it shows duplicate names but with different numbers under the Mobile category. Is there a way to merge these names and bring all the different numbers into Mobile, House, Others etc under one name.I searched and found some answers for "Merging" but all were referring to merging different names with common phone numbers, but what I need is just the opposite. If there is already a discussion and solution to this , please give the reference.
The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?
I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
My wife and I just bought 2 iP4s' and use Win7 machines at home for iTunes. We have been sharing an apple ID for apps previously since we used 2 iPods + 1 iP 3 previously. Now, when I download an app, her phone tries to download the same app. The options under iCloud settings are...
Mail: off Contacts: off (so we don't duplicate or copy each other's contacts) Calenders: off (we use google calenders) reminders: off bookmarks: off notes: off photo stream: off documents and data: off Find my iPhone: On
Storage and backup: currently off (might be turned on later) Do we need to create 2 different iCloud accounts and can we still use 1 apple ID to purchase apps? Will this prevent our phones from trying to sync apps? There is no setting for that in the iCloud settings.
I cannot use my Apple ID on my phone.I have several updates I need to do but everytime I put in my Apple ID a message appears saying Apple ID disabled.I have changed my password on itunes but nothing works
My wife and I both use the same apple id, but when we sync our phones, our "my info" in settings changes to who ever synced first. This messes up my wife's Siri, Siri thinks she is me?
My brand new iphone 4S works OK but when I try to buy a ringtone through the iphone app it keeps asking for my apple ID but won't accept my password. The password works fine on my mac and worked fine on a last iphone 3
I have reset my apple id password about 10 times with no luck.
My 3G has a firmware problem (error 28) and apple has offered to replace it for $200 (no contract). Since they are discontinuing support for everything 3g and older, will they still have a 3G to replace it with? Reconditioned unit maybe? Or will I get lucky and get a newer 3GS or 4G?
