On an iphoine 4, i would like to customize the labels on my contacts list, for example the only label that i can use are: home, work home fax etc and i do not see an icon that would help me do the changes.

On my N82 I can edit labels in the contacts list so that I can create labels such as 'Mobile (Smart)' and 'Mobile (Globe)' so that, when my contact has two numbers, I know which is which.When I transferred all the data from N82 to my new N97mini, the customised labels have been discarded and the two examples above have reverted to 'Mobile'. Furthermore, I cannot find an option on the N97 to recreate these customised labels.Has this very useful facility been removed from the newer handset? If so, why?

1. Contacts Labels are not getting changed specially "Mobile" and "Telephone" which are mostly used.I have around 2500 Contacts, in previous version 033.002 i Faced errors like "Contacts : Memory full : close some applications and try again". It also says something even more weird "Pbk2ServerApp : Memory Full. Close some application and try again".
I am able change the labels of few heads like First, Last name, Company etc but not of "Mobile" and "Telephone"I also tried to downgrade the firmware using "Phoenix" and tried flashing 021.013 , 022.009 , 031.012 and 033.002 but phone remains dead will all.The most amazing thing is that the phone is also not accepting 033.002 from which I upgraded. I also tried enabling SW Downgrade option in Phoenix but no success.Now I am stuck up with 033.003 with no labels editing
Recently I purchased a N8 and using "switch phone" I transferred all my data from my 5800 Xpress music to it. I noticed that all edited labels in phone "contacts" turned to the default labels. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have gmail setup on my 3GS via Exchange. There is an option to enable push notification on multiple folders + Inbox, but it doss not appear to be working. Each time I go to the Sent or All Mail folders, it only shows the last emails I downloaded the last time I opened the folder. The mail app then takes about 1-3 minutes to d/l the new messages.Is there some trick to enabling push in gmail folders?

When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4

I've worked out how to manually sync contacts profile pics from FB onto my contacts list, but it won't let me do it on my own contact details. (Basically, in text messaging, pics of my contacts are there, but I can't link mine to do the same).
View 9 Replies View RelatedLove the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

I figured the way to do that would be to somehow merge my phone contacts into my Google Contacts on my MacBook (however, I do not want to merge my Gmail Contacts into my phone, as there are 100s of contacts there I do not want/need on my phone, so I am proceeding cautiously). Under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar >iCloud. I have Contacts "On" (but have not done an iCloud backup FWIW because I am not sure my data is less than 5gb). Doing this alone does not work.
