I have a Nokia 7373 which was NOT bought from a network, and when inserting a new SIM it asked for a Restriction Code.I have read the previous posts on this topic, but the only reason I am posting again on this is because the phone was NOT bought from a network so should not be subject to a restriction code.
My nokia 6280 stopped working about a week ago, when i turn it on it gets passed the 2 animations then the screen dies and it restarts or something, but I just tried and it asked me for my restriction code. anyone know what's going on?
i have set a security code on my phone and now when i enter it to unlock and use the device it rejects my code saying that its wrong, (my OLD 3330 used to do that but only after entering the code incorrectly a couple times you would then have to take the battery out and switch the phone on again then enter the code and it would work) so i have tried to take the battery out and still no luck.anybody know how to do a hard reset on the phone or a code that will reset the security code please help me
I bought a mobile (Nokia 6500 slide) with SFR in France. I missed six months and I wanted to unblock it but the code to disable the restriction, is not good and he told me that this is a problem that needs to be addressed at Nokia. So I would like to know steps to unblock it,
I forget my master reset code so can't reset my nokia n96 & also can't use any mamory card. When i put in any mamory card thn phone asking for lock code but i 4get tht...I updte my firmware but still its not fixed...
how can i recover my restriction passcode?? Everything i have found on how to do it requires Mac software I dont have Mac. So what can i do to get this back with useing windows software. And i would perfer not going to a backed up file and losing any of my data I will if that is the oonly way.
I found this code (*#7370#) on internet so I did reset my 8gb. As some users said on this website, after resetting I must do sync with PC suite then I can play all music files, videos and games same as before. (ex. I saw one guy lost fifa and asphalt games after resetting). without the sync with old backup datas, I won't play all of them cuz I would lose all licenses in my phone comes from factory. but with some reasons, my phone works just like b4. why wasn't that happened on my phone??
I have tried the other day to change the phone security code from the standard 12345 to something else. However when I try to do that I get en "Code Error " on the phone. I would like to mention that the code was never changed and that this phone is brand new (less then 3 weeks old)I have tried in different way from the *#7780# and it asked me to put in the new code and I put 12345 and the I went to change it to something else I get the same "Code error".Also I have tried the *#7370# code which was supposed to reset it, however this failed also.
I know that with the BlackBerry you can rewrite the whole phone software, can the Ovi do the same thing?I have tried to call Nokia and ask for guidance, however they are saying that the CODE WAS CHANGED and that I have to remember the code, which is completly not true.
I've just upgraded the doftware on my phone to v200.21.118 and all seemed to be be well. Phone rebooted and then went through the set-up stage of asking which country, city, time etc.It the asks for the lock code and so I eneter the code I had changed it to ages ago, which doesn't work. So I figure that maybe the software update had reset the lock code to the original '12345' but this doesn't work either.Anyone have any idea how I can reset this? I'm now unable to use my phone! :-( I seem to remember on some old Nokias that you could enter like a master code to override this.
If i put the battery into my blackberry it turns on and looks normal until it has fully verified the software then the screen goes white and it says reset.. when i click reset it does the same again, and it won't connect ot the computer
I got my kid a new cell phone to replace an old VX8300. Before putting it away or giving it away I was going to wipe out all the old information and hopefully reset it to factory settings.Unfortunately it appears as though one of his friends changed the security code from the default last 4 of the cell number to something else without telling him. Very funny practical joke. Unfortunately my kid has no idea when this happened and his friend does not remember what he changed it to.
I tried every 4 digit combo I can think of and nothing worked. Verizon told me there was nothing they could do. They say they have no master code to reset it and they can't plug it in and reset it manually either. Is this true? Is this phone locked forever? I don't want to figure out what the old code was. I don't care to. All I want to do is to reset the entire thing. Is there no way to do this once that code is changed? If so then Verizon and LG should make that abundantly clear to people because the odds of someone changing that code and completely hosing their phone is not that low.
I have acquired the curve for work from a person who is now gone. I attempted to set up voicemail and personal greeting but I do not know the passcode. Is there anyway to get past that so that I can put in my own passcode and set up voicemail and greeting?
