So I have had my iPhone 4 jailbroken ever since it came out on 4.0.1 and facetime never seems to work ever since then. I knew there was a problem when it first came out, but I thought it got fixed, but nothing worked. Is there a way I can get this working?
The internet/LTE on my iphone has stopped working for everything besides phone, iMessage, Facetime (email, safari, and facebook all say they need internet access). I've reset my network, did a soft reset (home and power button). I have internet connectivity since I can do video facetime. What are my next steps to get safari working
I'm trying to start a facetime call with another person and having all sorts of issues.my iPhone is wi-fi only, with airplane mode turned on. I'm doing this because I'm out of the country and don't want to use cellular out of the US. My understanding is that as long as I have Wi-fi, I should be able to use facetime, but every call I make fails.I also tried having someone facetime me from the US and they're not able to complete the connection either. These failers happened between 2 iphones, both on wi-fi.I have been able to make facetime calls in the US but this is the first time I've tried in Brazil.
So I just noticed that I can now "FaceTime" others even though I am opt out from SMS/MMS. Under the phone settings I no longer have "Waiting for Activation" either. I'm guessing they someone how provisioned the "FaceTime" SMS to go through much like AT&T's own messages. Anyone else seeing the same results?
The mobile number entered for facetime and imessage in 'verifying' state for ever. It also charged 3-4 times for international sms but still my mobile number is not activated for imessage and facetime. This service is not available for India.
I have recently got the iphone 4s brand new tried calling my friend who also got the same but when contacting via FaceTime we can only see our own face not each other. Please help figure this out. We are both in uk.
A couple of days ago i installed 3g unrest. from cydia. i tried facetime while a friend was on wifi. no luck then i uninstalled 3g unrest. and facetime still wont work on wifi. facetime starts but wont connect. if someone facetimes me it will say connecting but it never connects. any1 else had this problem? I updated my iphone 4s to ios 5.1.1 around noon today, ever since, my facetime and imessenger will not work. I have turned my phone on and off a number of times nothing has changed, even turned imessenger off and on. but still nothing. When in the messages settings imessenger is on, and receiving at 2 addresses. E-mail is bold and Phone number is grey?
When I got the second iphone, I am facing so many problem with iphone such as face time is not working, icloud is not working, iphone is not synchronized with itune. I have create a new id. I have reset my phone 4 times. I have read many article in this forum. But everything doesn't work.
how I can get my iMessage and Facetime working again? I have an iPhone 4S with it on airplane mode and wireless on. It was working fine and then like magic, it says "waiting for activation". I am studying abroad in England and it goes in and out.
When making or receiving voice calls via my network operator's service, no one can hear me, i.e my audio input. I can hear the person on the other end of the phone fine but they can't hear me whatsoever. However when I use the likes of viber, skype and facetime, my audio input is perfectly fine and the person on the other end of can hear me. Note both viber and skype calls work just fine and 2 way communication is audible regardless if I have a 3G or Wifi connection. Plus I have full signal bar strength when near a mobile tower so that eliminates antenna issues. Also have taken alternative turns to cover both the top mic and the bottom mic during a viber or skype call and my audio input can still be heard. I've done a reset, a hard reset of the phone and a reset of the network settings, still to no avail. Have updated iOS to the latest version 5.1.1.
I have my FaceTime set up on both devices, wifi on full bars, but it says FaceTime failed when I call. I also call from both devices at once and it makes no difference. I know the information is correct.
after watching the promo video I noticed that is stated both caller and receiver have to be on wi-fi to use Facetime. Ok doesn't that really avoid having the ability to chat via video anywhere as advertised. Now when I am on business trip I have to hunt around for wi-fi just to use FaceTime so what is the video chat really gaining me?
I was sitting here pondering, would it possible to when a jailbreak is avaliable for iOS4 , to turn on MyWi broadcasting, automatically connected you to your tethered internet connection and possible to use FaceTime when truely its just your 3G network broadcasted via WiFi
