IPhone :: Can Make Changes In ITunes But Not In Phone?
Jan 24, 2010My phone was syncing no problem a few weeks ago with my computer. Now, whenever i make any changes from itunes - it doesnt change anything on my phone. Whenever i delete a movie from the phone, then sync it with my computer. It shows up again on my phone. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling itunes to no avail. This baffles me since i haven't made any changes from my computer and phone. Phone is a 32 gb 3GS, JB with blackrain but not unlocked.

Apr 15, 2012i have been told that i shouldnt delete songs from my library even if i have converted them to my iphone device on the pc cause next time i will syns my ihpne to pc the songs will be deletred from my iphone as well.the list in the library under the music map gets too long so i want to organize those songs in different playlists.so my question is how do i do that?i tried to go to file and click on new playlist but that playlist shows up in the end.first u have library then store,iphone device,shared,genius ant then in the end playlists.so that playlist shows up here.so i wonder that is not under the library..so is those playlists a part of the library?i mean if i download a song here in the playlist category and not under the music map under the library will it be saved here when i convert that song to my iphone device.is this the same as library?cause i taught if i wanna make a playlist in the library it will show up under the library..

May 1, 2012how to make a ringtone from your own itunes music. Bc I can get as close as making the song on one of those ringtone makers and i can never find it after its been cute to 40s. I did see one where you had to get on your computer and sync find it then save it to the computer then transfer it back to your phone through your ringtone tab on itunes which i could never find Given iv only had the phone for about 12hrs it shouldnt be this hard to do.

Feb 26, 2010Apple exchanged a new phone for me because of a water damage (I paid extra for it). The next day, my phone cannot find any network. I tried resetting the phone, restoring everything.It worked for like 1 hour, and then this message "Restore Needed. Iphone cannot make or receive calls. Restore from Itunes." pops up again. I bought it to Apple Gen. Bar, the guy said its probably because of my sim card that got the water damaged. I went back home and found a brand new 3G sim card that I forgot to insert when I got my phone a while ago . Used the new sim card, and few hours later..still getting that message! I tried restore, reset everything! My iphone was able to find my network, but it go back to "searching" or "no network" after a while. Went to Apple store again, told them that I changed a new sim card. The girl said she would restore the phone for me. After restoring the phone, it worked fine, obviously she send me home because she said there's nothing wrong with my phone. Today when I wake up, I saw the same message on my phone again. Tried the hard reset (home button + power), it asks me to connect to itune (or else I can only make emergency calls). Restart my phone (just the power reset), it was fine again, with network and everything. But this time, when I click into my download application, it pops back to the main menu. I deleted all the downloaded application and re-download them again, they worked fine.So, I'm guessing that I will most likely get the "Restore Needed. Iphone cannot make or receive calls. Restore from Itunes." message again. And because it works after I do a hard reset/ restore, there's nothing Apple Gen. Bar can do anything about it right? What can I do? I don't want to restart my phone 10 million times a day or restore it twice a day!

After completing restoring, follow the steps to set up the phone and stuck at activation screen. Apr 20, 2012i have a customer who has a iphone and needs to update to ios 5.1 for a corporate app to work. he does not have personnal machine at home to install itunes on, and the company will not allow itunes to be installed on any of their systems (you cant even run the installer as its blocked).i have my own machine that i connect to their guest wifi but when i try to download the ios 5.1 update, it says 36 hours remaining (i think they are blocking the traffic).is there a way to download the firmware while i have my machine at home and then install when i am back with the user (i only see the user for about 1 hour a week)

Apr 23, 2012i am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

Mar 30, 2012I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.

I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
