Jul 2, 2012which codec is used for Bluetooth A2DP streaming in iOS5 on the iPhone 4s or iPad 3? Is it reencoded with SBC or do these devices support MP3/AAC direct streaming without loosing quality? With the help of Google I couldn't get an answer respectively it looks like there is only SBC supported.

Dec 30, 2015The a2dp stopped working on my S6. (G920F 5.1.1 unrooted) I can pair with devices (Speakers, etc) but if I go to their individual settings, the "Media Audio" is disabled. I can still connect to my car stereo and use the phone (the car stereo doesn't support a2dp).
I have done a factory reset 3 times, and the a2dp starts working again every time but after a while it stops. I have been careful in trying to identify what app triggers the a2dp to stop working but it doesn't seem to be related to installed apps.

Mar 8, 2010I can't get music streaming in the home media application to work on my E52. I start the home media app, browse servers and find my Synology NAS that is connected to my router. I select it and see its shared folders. I select the music folder and see all the artists and songs on my NAS server. So far so good. When I select a song a question pops up "Select device: (no servers found)". Can someone help me? I don't know if it's the phone, the router or the NAS that needs configuring.

Jun 4, 2012I have Sennheiser MM400 Bluetooth headphones and a Bose SoundLink Bluetooth mobile speaker. Both of these worked well with my iPhone 4 (before 5.1.1) with good range and only the occasional dropout when the phone was moved. However since 5.1.1, there has been a massive reduction in the stability of A2DP audio streaming. With the SoudLink the range has reduced massively to a few feet (6 max) with line of sight and the audio drops out if anyone passes between the phone and the speaker. With the MM400 Headphones the situation is even worse. Even with the phone in my breast pocket and only few inches from the headphones, the audio drops out every few seconds. Just placing my arm between the iphone and the headphone causes the audio to drop out completely. As I said before, this did not happen before 5.1.1 and as this problem effects both the Bose and the Sennheisers, it must be something that Apple changed in the latest update. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Until Apple fix this, the AD2P audio streaming feature is useless. Making my AD2P devices so much useless and expensive junk.

After a little research, I found out about A2DP. I'm aware that this mono bluetooth headset does not support A2DP. Is there any way to get audio output to my bluetooth headset without A2DP?

Mar 16, 2011Just got my C3-01 last week and I love it. However, when I pair with my Parrot MK6000 car-kit, the audio quality is of low quality. I can hear music/phone calls just fine, but the quality is something akin to a 64kbps mp3 as opposed to a 192kbps mp3.My E71, N900, and E73 all work beautifully with the carkit, but I understand that my carkit is Bluetooth v1.2 as opposed to v2.1 supported by the C3-01. vouch for the C3-01 supporting the Bluetooth A2DP profile and getting high quality stereo sound from it? If not, perhaps this a bug in the new S40 Touch and Type Bluetooth stack.

Dec 10, 2010With my N95 and N97, as soon as I turn on my car (equipped with Nokia CK-100), I automatically get connected to BT HFP and A2DP profiles. The car kit will tell me, "Phone connected." A second later, "Player connected." With the N8, the car kit will only connect to just the phone automatically. For the player to connect while the car is on, I have to open up the music player and play a song, which will then force N8 to make the A2DP connection. So when that happens, you hear a 1.5 second message saying, "Player connected" followed by music that is already 2 to 3 seconds into the song. I thought it was perhaps the Car Kit getting full with the list of paired devices (memory is for 8 pairings), but clearing the list doesn't help. I thought it was the Car Kit firmware, so I upgraded it to 4.401, no luck. Then when I paired my old N97 and N95, both HFP and A2DP connections were made automatically when I boot up my car as expected! But not the N8.

Sep 12, 2011I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Micorsoft Sync. I had a Droid X and upgraded to the Bionic. When getting in the car, the DX always auto-connected to the phone (headset) profile and also to the A2DP profile, although sometimes the Sync screen displayed a "Connection failed" message before it always actually did connect. Previously my BB Storm 2 had no problems connecting.
When I turn the car on, the Bionic connects fine to the headset profile but fails to auto-connect to the A2DP profile. I get the same "Connection failed" message as with the DX but it doesn't subsequently connect and I have to connect it manually. This is very troubling to me as I almost exclusively use A2DP for listening to music and podcasts in my car.[url]...

Jun 5, 2012I can't imagine this hasn't been asked before, but I looked around and couldn't find the answer. I have an iTunes playlist that includes an internet audio stream. It works fine in the playlist on iTunes (on my laptop), but when I sync the playlist to my iPhone (4s) it ignores the internet audio stream. Is there any way to get an internet audio stream to be part of a playlist on an iPhone? I know there are apps that will do this, but I'm trying to get it to work within the "music" app on the iPhone so it integrates with my runkeeper app, which uses playlists.

Does it stream the full resolution video, (640x480 on the Slingbox SOLO, and some sort of HD resolution for the PRO) or just a gimped resolution to match the iPhone's screen? I think whatever it is, is effected by Wi-Fi vs 3G as well (It looks considerably better on Wi-Fi). Basically what I am asking is will it look better on the iPhone 4, or will they have to create a newer version to make it match at least the max resolution of sling? (Which will probably take them a year considering how long it takes them to update that app).

Mar 26, 2012Here is the setup, iPhone 4S, apple tv 2, on a gig LAN at home. DIR655 is the router. No Internet access at home though. I want fit be able to stream say crackle from my phone to the apple tv. As of now it's not working, since there is no internet access at home as soon as I join the network I'm cut off from any online access. No emails, browsing, or streaming videos. Now, I know that it's possible because it did it about two weeks ago, I was able to join the network at home and still browse and stream videos from the phone. And it does it briefly during a reboot of the router. It won't give the wifi bars on the header but it will give me an AirPlay icon and recognize the apple tv2.
Solutions which have been suggested and failed:
- Disabled the dns relay within the router settings.
- Changed the DNS servers to 4.2.2.2/3.
