IPhone :: 4S Turns Off On Its Own Even With Battery?
May 17, 2012
Phone turns off on its own. It happened once when it had 15% battery left, and two other times when I plugged it into my laptop via USB cord to transfer photos. For those last two times, the phone had at least 30%+ battery. What could the issue be? Is it necessary to bring it to an apple store to get it checked out?
My Iphone (white) turns on then off then on then off then on then off! Finaly when I eventually get to the lock screen it says: conect to power but I charged it last night and the percent bar (top right) says 100% . Now it says to charge with itunes? What am I supposed to do!
My iPhone turns off when it's almost out of battery. It only has 3% but it suddenly turns off. It's not every time sometimes it's earlier (at 6%) and sometimes at 1%. Is the battery broken? If so, is there a chance I get a refurbished one when I make a appoinment at a Apple store?Â
I've had my iPhone 5 since April 2013. From the start I knew I'd have to accept that the battery was going to drain quicker than I was used to, but I was prepared to accept it due to knowing that I was getting a high quality phone.Â
Things were as expected until 3 or 4 months ago. Since then, if my phone doesn't get used for 3-4 hours it can go down 5-6% (as I would accept), however, when I am using it, it shoots down. I can go to work at 9, finish at 5 and have 80 odd percent left. By 6, once I've had some basic usage, it can be down to 50%. This is far quicker loss than I've experienced in the past. This has included dropping by 10-15% in one instant as has happened on numerous occasions.Â
A further issue is that my phone can be displaying up to 45% battery (the highest it's happened) and turn off when I'm using it. If I try to turn it on it says that I need to plug it into a power source. If I leave it 20-30 minutes then it will turn back on and say that I've got the amount of battery that I was supposed to have when I turned it off. If I use it to do nothing but check the time it stays this way, if I try to use any other function then it turns off after 30 seconds or so. Once I get it plugged in (from being 'dead') it will start charging from 20/30/40% (wherever it went off at).Â
Particularly if I know I'm going to be out for a while and won't have access to a charger. I can't base what battery the phone's telling me I have on what I actually have to use. I always close apps after I've used them, background app refresh is off, I only have wi-fi running regularly (no bluetooth, mobile data, 3g etc.)Â
I am using my Bold from past 11 months....but from last 3 days its getting turned off automatically at 20% battery. I dont understand how all of a sudden this is happening.
I have installed Android 6.0 few weeks ago. Since last week I have noticed some weird behaviour. While discharging, when the battery is about 40%, my Nexus 5 turns off immediately. Then, when I am trying to turn it on, I got a low battery warning and can't turn it on. When I connect it to the charger and turn it on, the battery indicator shows about 15-20%.Is my battery going to die? It looks normal, not swollen. I tried reinstalling Marshmallow (with wipe) but it didn't work. When reinstalling system, I noticed an other problem. Stock recovery doesn't work. After flashing it with
Code:
fastboot erase recovery fastboot flash recovery recovery.img I have only the laying android and red triangle picture. TWRP works when flashed the same way. But it disappears after reboot!
I turned my phone off and when I tried to turn it on the apple logo appeared on the screen but then it shut down. I have tried turning it on several times but the same thing happens over and over again. I plugged it in to my computer and also tried charging it but nothing works!
I've had this iPhone for about 7-8 months, and this started 3 weeks ago, I woke up in the morning and looked at the time on my phone, and it suddenly just turns off and turns back on showing the apple logo, and now it happened again twice!! Is there any way to fix this problem i've restored my phone fresh twice, no icloud no backup nothing installed, I also have 8.9 GB available.
OK so I have an LG g3 and had it for a few months it has started to turn itself off randomly, when trying to restart the phone it will not allow me too until I remove the battery and replace it again. The temperature to me is not that hot compared to when I had a Samsung s4.
My nexus 6 turns off around the 5% battery warning mark is this normal? This is the second faulty unit. First one was giving me audio drop outs and this is the second device to turn off before completely dead.
My Curve 8530 has been turning off spontaneously power cycling then the Blackberry download screen comes on. It will then fully load and when it powers back on the battery will be completely drained. It will do this in the middle of phone calls, texting and browsing.
A few weeks ago my charger started showing signs of needing to be replaced. So I went to my service provider and they didn't sell any actual Xperia x10 chargers so I bought a universal charger. So now I'm on my second charger, and my phone won't charge. Any time I plug it in or even get it started it either turns off or the battery starts draining instead of charging. I don't know what to do with this phone. There is no water damage and I haven't even had my phone for a year.
I have a JB iPhone 3G 3.1.2 OS. Everything has been fine until now. I had SBRotator on and all of a sudden it started to go really slow and in the end not respond. So i turned my iphone off by holding the power and home buttons and now whenever I turn it on it stays on the apple logo screen for about 10 seconds and then switches itself off. I've never had a problem with SBRotator before. What can I do to get it working again?
Since I allowed an update on my phone, my screen/background is continuously coming on by itself and this drains my battery. The screen used to only come on when I pressed the power button. I have my display settings set so the screen is supposed to cut off after 15 seconds of inactivity.
Over the last 3 days ive noticed my phone using a lot more battery than it usually does, i can usually get upto 2 days battery usage when its used frequently, but it has been getting less than a day over the last 3 days.
I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result
o.k. so this phone has been wet, but dryed it out and it worked for a while then it started turning itself off now quite often 30-40 seconds. I changed the battery so its not that then i swapped the logic board with another phone and it worked in that one so i don;t know what else there is in the phone..
since this ios 5.1.1 update my 3gs has basicly killed itself it turns off randomly even if its 80% or 100% personally i think apple should give me a free repair seeming as they're software (itunes) made me update to 5.1.1 and since then it turns off
I have 3Gs. It recently started turning off by itself. I could be listening to music, making a call, on the interenet, or whatever. It turns off with the charger in or out. Most of the time it turns back on right after. Sometimes i will have to maually turn it on. It takes almost 3 minutes to turn back on. Then it will stay on from anywhere between 3 and 30 minutes before it turns back off. It also turns off sometimes when it is shook. Thats only somethimes though. I really need a way to fix this. Please if anyone has any ideas, post them here. Thank you
I got my iphone 4s 3 weeks ago, it was working perfectly for 2 days but then i started noticing that the phone turns off at 20% charge left in the battery, and today I was talking on the phone and the earphone stopped working, so i tried putting the phone call on speaker and it worked fine, and then i put it back in the ear phone and I couldn't hear a thing !the problem is that i don't have a warranty, Note :
1) I tried hardware reset?
2)recovering the phone on itunes?
3) I deleted all the data from it?
4)I use my phone daily for about 5 to 6 hours for games and apps, I don't know should I use less?
So I was using my IPhone waiting for my friend to answer my text and all the sudden my phone turns off. And then it turns back on for 5 seconds. and it did this for an hour straight. but then stopped. and now is doing it again. and i cannot figure out what happened to my phone.
Recently my iPhone has been turning off automatically and I'm not able to turn it back on for about an hour or two. I have restored my phone and the problem persists.
My sister gave me her iphone and it was working fine up until 2 days ago. Now it has started acting weird and turns itself off and on every 5mins!! and I the time it stays on is getting shorter even with it plugged in. What can I do?
The phone turns off frequently and turns on only when i plug to an power source. This repeats 5-6 times a day. i tried to hold the power and home button, did not work.
I first had the same problem when i was calling etc..Then i shut down automatic lock en automatic screen brightness and that worked. But when i lock the screen it still happens? Is there an app where i can lock my iPhone? i will just use the app instead of the regular screen lock?
My iphone 4 keeps turning itself on and off every few minutes and the battery says its only at 2 percent, even after being charged for hours. I have already tried holding the sleep and home button and I restored it and it still isn't working correctly.
