Some of the stripes are lighter, almost white. They are all exactly the same size. For example, when I log into Facebook, the stripes are right in the middle, where the logo is. I've tried to reboot and turning it off it but nothing changes. I have dropped it few times but no cracks.

My I phone 4 has 4 purple stripes taking up the whole of the screen. This has happened before ( around 2 weeks ago ). I tried powering down and resetting. The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.

I plugged by phone in to charge it and when I woke up the screen was white and had stripes on it. The phone can accept calls, but nothing else works. This phone is 14 months old and of course out of warranty now. Bell is telling me that it's going to cast $150.00 to have the phone repaired.
I have never dropped the phone, got it wet, or anything, this just occurred all by itself. A friend of mine also has a Bold and the same thing happened to her today. Could this be some sort of programming issues with RIM, or just extremely lousy phones they make?
Recently i bought a BB Bold 9700 and it was working just fine until one day a white stripe appeared on the left side of my screen. This didnt bother me so much. A couple of days later another stripe appeared; this was when i started to be worried. I looked for a solution online and i tried pressing on it and then clicking the "p" key, i've tried pulling the battery, and i've tried simply resetting it. I have never dropped this phone or gotten it wet. I did get a private screen for it and the stripe appeared after i got it so that might have something to do with it. Now there are 2 stripes most of the time but sometimes it switches to 1.

View 1 Replies View Relatedit's been happening to me a bit recently, eventually the vertical stripes go away but for now they've been coming on. if i take a photo that looks like it has vertical stripes, it doesnt come out when the photograph is taken. Anybody else? is this just a flaw with 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 or is something hardware related?
Either way, using my phone unlocked in Austria so it will have to wait before I replace it if it's hardware. Just curious though, don't remember this happening before.
My iPhone 4 displays pink stripes in camera and video mode. All my pics have pink stripes in them. The phone is working fine otherwise.

I having the problem after update my X10 to android 2.1. I found that my screen light sensor (which actually works b4 under different environment lighting) and the LED notification light (it works b4 while I got the missed call or sms) do not work after update to android 2.1... One more is, the screen color gradation seem worst that b4...is it normal?

Since I have had good luck with updates in the past, I did the update and it went very smoothly. Further, I think my G3 run smoother now. No overheating. If battery life is lower, it's barely detectible.Sure, I'm having to adjust to a few minor changes, but I think everything clicks along nicely.My only complain it the Stripes Voicemail I can't seem to turn off. how to keep that turkey from loading all the time?

It seems to work fine now, except for the fact that the guys from service reinstalled symbian for the black and red version and thus my theme now is red stripes, red etc... My phone is the blue and white(5530) version and I would preffer to have the blue theme. The red theme just doesn't cut it for the blue/white phones.

This is an important thing to me since I tend to read at night and I dislike having to go all the way to settings and so on.
Do you know any piece of software that could change screen brightness based on the light sensor readings?I'm just amazed the phone software doesn't do that on its own but hey s60v5 is worse than s60v3...
Is there a way to have the keyboard backlight work the same as the sreen backlight?

It just showed up like that and it's always when I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) that this happends and then stays.Once I got rid of it by rebooting the phone almost 10 times or turning it of a whole day but as soon as I use the screen-lock button (slide button on the side) it comes back.

My screen keeps scrolling down automatically when a bright light hits the screen. Make it hard to use outside. Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

I noticed the second screen at the top bleeds onto the main screen, especially at certain angels when turning the phone.
So far I don't think it adversely affects anything when the main screen is on, but I have not tried to watch a movie or anything yet.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry has been doing this thing lately where i'm using it and it just turns off without letting my know battery is low (and it usualy isn't even low) and today I recieved a phone call, I was speaking on the phone for less that a minute when it turned off.I tried to charge it and turn it back on, and now it's on, working (i'm still recieving messages etc) but theres nothing on the screen, it's completely black, not even a red lighttried taking the battery out, tried charging, nothings working It's had no water damage at all.

I finally decided to press the little red button next to the Sim card and the phone started working fine again, in fact I'm writing from the device, but i wanted to know if I shud worry about this happening (it was the first time ever), or maybe was it because it heated up because I used the radio app too much?( I used it during the morning for like 2,5h and in the afternoon 2h more...
Is there anyway I can set the phone so that screen turns on to notify me of notification. I know the led turns on but the led is so small I miss it. Also the notification sound is low I miss hearing that too unless I double tap the screen to wake it up. Is it possible for the screen to wake up?
