Jun 3, 2011I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.

Dec 7, 2014When i go to the camera app, it is black and won't allow me to take a picture. When i go onto snap chat, instagram, etc it still is not working and powers off the app. I have reset the app, shut off my device, and tried many other stupid things to see if my camera will work. After a day, my camera still remains black and my frustration is building. I need an answer to this problem because this is just not right.

Mar 15, 2012two days ago i tried to launch my camera.app and the shutter wouldnt open. i tried hard resetting my iphone and resetting it from the settings>general>reset but it didnt help. i tried using an application from the appstore(camera+) but the screen was always black. today i updated to 5.1 and im still not able to get the shutter open.

Jun 23, 2012My camera on my Iphone 4s has stopped working. I recently installed 5.1.1 and today when I press the camera app teh following happens
1. The app opens and displays the shutter.
2. The camera icon then goes from black to grey
3. The screen then goes black with the 3 icons at the top (Off, Options, & the camera reverse button) All of this happens without me touching the screen.
Sometimes the screen goes black and sometimes it goes grey. I can look at existing hotos and play existing videos but cannot do anything at all with the camera

Jun 4, 2014All it does is turn off my phone or it will automatically go back to my home screen. My front camera works only on snapchat. I reset my phone twice and turned it off multiple times, I also took it to the AT&T store and they said theres nothing wrong with it but to just reset my phone. after i reset my phone twice it still doesnt work.

Jul 1, 2014I have an iPhone 5S and the camera stopped working. It was still under warranty so no problem. Apple arranged for a new one to be sent and for my old one to be sent back to them. Before I sent it back I backed up the phone on to my iTunes.Â
Got the new one today and I have tried restoring the back up onto the new phone and I am getting the following error message 'The back up cannot be restored to abc iPhone because the software on the iPhone is too old. Apple haven't sent me an older version?

Mar 12, 2012Ok, so my phone is locked and when I double click on the home button to quickly access the camera button while still being locked it is not working. The icon itself looks differetn and it pulls up the screen so I can slightly see the camera at the very bottom but then bounces back to the home locked screen. What is wrong and how can I fix it. I have a 2 year old and love this feature because it quickly captures the moment.

Apr 10, 2012I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.1 however i have noticed that now i am unable to use the camera whilst my phone is locked.
I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.
