I have an iPhone 3gs (old I know) and it boots up to the apple logo then a couple seconds later to a white screen. I have tried putting it in DFU mod or recovery mode with the whole to seconds sleep/wake button and 20 home, but nothing works. I have checked all the connectors and I am still getting that screen. If anyone can help it would be great. It all happened after I tried updating from the computer to 5.1.
My phone was recently in recovery mode and I had plugged it up to restore but it completely shut off. Now when I plug it up to the computer, it only shows the white screen with the apple logo. It stays on there for about 5 seconds then goes off. Keep in mind that my lock button does not work. What can I do?
My iphone 5 crashed suddenly while functioning properly!!┬ I connected it to my pc so as to restore it!!! Itunes recognized the device and a message that it needs restoring emerged!! i followed the proposed steps to restore it!! It was running ios 7.4 i think!!! Ios 8.01 was downloaded and afterwards it extracted the previous version!!! while waiting from the iphone so as the procedure to go on , the apple logo appeared with the progress bar!!! But after waiting for too long it did nothing!! The bar was empty and it seemed as it was stuck!!
I tried to do it again!!┬ After this i tried to enter it to dfu mode again in order to restore it!! But i couldn't!!! I tried the known combination of its buttons to do it!!! Nothing at all!! I reconnected it to itunes !!! The device was recognized and a message that it needs restore appeared!! I followed the instructions!!! Ios was extracted and while itunew were waiting for the iphone to continue it happened the same thing again!! Apple logo appeared with the empty progress bar empty!!! It seemed as being stuck or not responding!! Is it a hardware problem? Or is it software??? Is there something i can do to make it work properly again???
The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.
I have a 3gs that i jailbroke with jailbreakme.com a few weeks ago. today it froze and when i tried to restart it, it shows the apple logo with the spinning wheel and it just keeps spinning. What can i do if i dont want to restore it because it will upgrade my phone to 4.0.2 and i still want the jailbreak?
I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
Right now it just shows the apple logo fading in and out. It cannot be powered down, it cannot be picked up by my iTunes account. On occasion it switches to the plug in cord with the arrow to "iTunes" so I run in and hook it upto the computer, open iTunes and nothing. No chime that its noted, no change. It just sits there. I have managed to reset it once and it worked for a day.
I just connected my iPhone 3G to my computer with the USB cable (Yes I do have 2.0 USB), and I updated it. After that, my iPhone rebooted. Till now, everything seems quite normal.
But now, as it restarted, it shows a picture of the iTunes logo, and a USB cable poiting at it. So I figured out I needed to connect to iTunes. But if I do so, nothing happens. I manually restarted my iPhone, I restarted my computer, I re´nstalled iTunes, and nothing seems to work out as I want.As I amtyping this, my iPhone just went off by itself, so I think I need to restart it, because it was on for quite a long time with the iTunes logo on screen.
Hi, I thought to enter the world of iphone, so i went and brought a iphone 3G, i got it today and jail broke it using jailbreakme.com, Bt a while later i realized i want to remove some things on my iphone so i reset the phone back to factory settings, So i did that and now its stuck in the apple logo, i read online to do a hard reset and press home button to connect to itunes, and i did that, n it wants to update and restore, bt i dont want that, i want to keep my 4.0.1 OS. And no i didnt save my sdsd (whatever its called) i read some ppl post on this, BUT IM SO CONFUSED, can someone please explain to me please,
I've been reading posts of various people with the similar issue but I've started to see a trend. I've jailbroken about 5 phones and recently everyone except mine got stuck on the exact same apple logo of boot.
No new software was installed. The phone was working perfectly fine before it rebooted by itself. Is apple doing anything to cause this. I know this might sound stupid but a pattern gets me to think it might be true.
In my case, my phone was working perfectly and I went into the mail app to check my mail and the phone got blank and came up with the apple logo. To top it off, I don't have the ssh for my phone as It was replaced and apple stopped signing 3.1.2's. Can anyone help please. Is there anything besides restore I can try? I tried putting the phone in DFU and starting it up but it didn't help.
Will it be a scratch magnet like previous iphones or will it be a different design/material because call me OC all u want, i hated that about my 3g and 3gs...my apple on the back getting scratched after wind passing by!
I was wondering if you iphone 4 owners notice little specks on your apple logo if you look at it in a certain angle. It doesn't look like scratches and doesnt seem like it's on the glass itself but on the metal part under the glass. I wanted to be a little less OCD with this phone (on my previous iphone I taped up the apple logo and then put it in a case), but it is just really bothering me. I already did a search and it seems like people are finding dust under their screen but I havent been able to find a thread with people finding specks on their apple logo.
I have an iphone 3gs i bought from ebay nearly a year ago. I bought it jailbroken on IOS 4.1 i think and i have not used it for 3 months. I replaced the battery a week ago. It just shows the apple logo the restarts and keeps doing that forever. I tried turning it of and putting it in dfu mode but keeps doing that. Itunes wont pick it up and as soon as i pull the charger out i turns off and there's no battery.
I have an iPhone 3Gs that is stuck on the apple logo screen. Tried doing all kinds of restores and putting it into DFU mode but iTunes wont recognize it and will not even boot up. Just simply stuck at the apple logo screen until the phone dies.
I didn't jailbreak the device i tried to restore it holding down both buttons diddnt work I olsa tried to restore by plugging it in while holding the home button it didnt work either please help (ios5.1)
I have an iphone 3gs that does nothing when not plugged in but when i plug it into the computer and the apple logo will come on and go off. I plug it into the wall charger and it boots up but says the phone needs activated and wont let me do anything else and when i unplug it to plug it into the computer it shuts off. I have put it in dfu mode and it goes to restore but at the end of the process when almost done the phone shuts off.
I left my iphone in the sun by accident when i went to the beach yesterday. when i tried to turn it on the apple logo appeared then it dissolved and hasn't turned on since.i already tried holding the power button and the home button for 20 seconds, recharging it for a day, letting it cool off, hooking it up to a computer, and still nothing
my iphone 4s is frozen with the apple logo. when i turn phone off by holdin the sleep and home button then turn it back on the apple logo comes on then flashes off and on. any idea why this is and how do i fix it so i can use my phone?
