IPhone :: 4 Says No Service And Keeps Turning Off?
Apr 22, 2012
I was using my phone and it just stopped and stated no connection in the top left corner. Then it said i needed to activate my phone. Now its at 1% battery when it previous was at 80% and it keeps cutting on and off. One minute I have service and then it switches to no service and reactivate it. It has been doing this for the past 5 minutes. What should I do?
I have been having a issue lately with my voice service turning off. The first time I was not able to make calls however could use data. Today both data and voice shut off. I was not able to restore connections. The only way to get them back working was to go in settings, mobile networks, then perform diagnostic test which usually fixes the issue. I was told today by a VZW rep that this is happening because I have wifi turned on. Is this correct?
I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I've done everything I know to do (reset network settings, hard reset, software update, restore to factory default, replace sim card) still have not fully resolved the issue. It seems to work periodically at random, but only has 1 or 2 bars where I should normally have full service.
Recently, my iPhone has been having some service issue and it is not AT&T's problem. At home for example I always used to have 5 bars, but now the service will show no service and then 10 minutes it will show up all 5 bars then soon no service. This happens to me in many places.
I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up
Is it possible to disable all the telephony functions of the Xperia Ray and still be able to listen to FM radio ? (to improve battery life)
"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
the service goes out all of a sudden, and i have to switch the phone off and on agin to regain service. this happens in areas where i normally have good service
When I'm opening Service Status from "Options and Status" I see the "Blackberry Internet Service" as "Not Connected" although I've Blackberry service and I'm successfully using IM, synchronize my E-Mails, and Browsing the internet without any WiFi connection.
I am using the blackberry service using a GSM service provider, I would like to switch to a new GSM service provider. When I switch the SIM card the handset ask for blackberry ID and password, on entering the details it says invalid Blackberry ID. Can I just use another BB handset and use the new SIM to route all my emails and BB messenger to the new handset.
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
Is there any way to turn MMS on/off?I wanted to text my friend a picture of my new homescreen and my phone wont let me use MMS... and there is no option to turn MMS on in the 'messages' section of the settings...
i jailbroke my iphone 3G a few weeks ago. I was backing it up (on iTunes) and a message said iPhone could not sync or something like that and then my iPhone froze, so I unplugged it and the screen slowly went blank...and now it won't turn on...what do I do! Please help!
I tried to reset it by pressing the home button and power button, but nothing worked. It's been plugged into my computer with iTunes on and it's not turning on. Any help will do!!
My iPhone 3gs is only about 2 weeks old and we encountered this problem where it keeps turning itself on and off. We restored the phone and it lasted for about a week before it started happening again. My concern is that even if i send my phone in to have it replaced that it will just happen again with my next phone. If it is going to keep happening id like to know so i can just get a different phone
I got this iPhone 3G In April 2009, and just today, it stopped working or doing ANYTHING. It's not turning on, it's not saying no battery, and it's not showing any sign of life. Last time it worked was this morning to stop the alarm, but that's it. I noticed it wasn't working about two hours later.
I don't know what trigger this. my iphone4 is previously on iOS 5.0.1 and it keeps turning off itself.but when i plug it to the power, the phone turns on, BUT when i pull the plug off it turns itselff off.it's like the phone has no power left.yesterday i connect my "dead" iphone4 to itunes and enter the recovery mode and restore it to the newest firmware (5.1.1) but still the same problem happened.
I've tried restoring it on iTunes but a 1600 error keeps popping up. I've also tried holding down the home and power button at the same time. And when I plug it in to charge it, the screen doesn't even light up.
My iPhone won't turn on. It had 80 percent battery life and turned off. I tried holding home and sleep, recovery mode, charging it on computer as well as outlet, nothing has worked, Also iTunes won't recognize it
I'm on a holiday in the US, bought my iphone 4S in singapore and is still under warranty.. thing is after i put down the call for like 15 mins, my phone went dead. i tried to charge it and it didnt work. tried to pulg it in on itunes and itunes say it needs to be restored, then after sometime, it didnt restore at all and is not turning on/.
I went into the nearest apple store too me ( which is an hour away) after booking a genius appointment, I got given a replacement iphone 4S. BUT the phone they gave me has even more faults than my other one, it turns off 3 or 4 times a day and wont come back on for some time! Why is this happening?
My iphone keeps turning off when i'm using it but there is always lots of battier power left. it does it when i use the camea and some of the other apps like zombie land and wieght watchers. some times it will not turn back on for a few mins. it really silly is there anything i can do to fix this as i don't have the money to get a new one.
I have a problem that has only started to occur after updating to iOS 5.1.1
The main problem seems to be that the phone will switch itself off, notebly when the phone is saying it still has a substantial amount of battery power left.
This morning in fact, it switched itself off, even though it said I had 61%
Now, I could understand if the % was wrong and I had in fact no battery, but the wierd thing is that the phone will allow me to switch itself back on 10 minutes later, but only for a couple more minutes.
my iphone 3 keeps turning itself off when i go onto an app that uses the internet even when i have a full batery then when i turn it back on the batrey is 20%
i go to crop a picture and it shuts off and turns back off. i turned it off for a little while then turned it back on and it lasted a little bit longer. i havent dropped it. i thought it was over heating but i left it alone for about a hour.
