I just bought an iphone 4 and can not get it to recognize my wifi. I have an ipad that does recognize the wifi. I have reset the network settings and have updated the software by connecting to itunes. What do I do now? Jeannie

I cannot connect to any wifi network. When I turn my wifi on it doesn't recognize a single wifi network in my neighborhood or at work. My other devises work on my network, including my ipad, personal laptop and work laptop. Nothing on my network has changed in since it was installed years ago and this phone has worked previously. My bluetooth also is acting wonkey and not connecting to my car, but it was fine a few days ago as well. I have tried everything:Restarted my phone reset my network settings reset my entire phone tried the airplane mode/turn off-on idea.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with MOTOCAST in Windows XP. It will not recognize any of the 3 wi-fi networks in my home when I search for networks. The computer sees all 3 of them just fine and can connect to any of them. MOTOCAST and my MOTOACTV device work just fine on my work computer (running Windows 7). I can upload to MOTOACTV just fine at work and can see the work wi-fi network. Problem is only on the home networks. Unfortunately, getting on the network at home is most important because that is where I workout. Additionally, I can't sync my workouts to the MOTOACTV website at all from home, not wirelessly and not via USB. MOTOCAST permits me to see the music files on my computer and sync with them but will not sync to MOTOACTV via the web. Not a problem on my work computer.

I recently got a secondhand iPhone 3gs and I started it up and everything but the next time I connected it to my mac, it wouldn't acknowledge it at all. Neither would it charge. So I tried with my mum's PC and it was the same situation. My iPhone won't even charge with the wall charger unless I give it a hard reset each time. I tried recovery mode and even then iTunes wouldn' recognise it. The screen would just have the 'connect to iTunes' picture even though it was plugged in.

I received an iphone 4 as a gift from somebody who bought in USA from AT&T. Today I tried to update my software to iOS 5.1 using a macbook pro and itunes. It worked untill the point when itunes restarted my iphone and then it gave me a message about not recognizing my sim card.
I am currently living in Romania and I am using a prepay Vodafone Sim.
I contacted the apple authorised service in Bucharest and they told me that there is nothing they can do, that the problem is not sovable and I can use my iphone only in USA. They told me it was coded in AT&T network and it can't be unblocked or something like that...
Now I find it hard to believe that a company such as apple can't solve this problem... after all it's not my fault that I am not an iphone expert and didn't know better than to update my iOS.

I got my iPhone 4s back in October, and it worked just fine when syncing with iTunes and all that. Recently however, like in the last 3 weeks or so, whenever I try to plug it into the computer, my computer won't recognize it. It dings like I've inserted a USB, but it doesn't show up in "My Computer" or iTunes, and does not charge. I have tried two different cords. I tried plugging it in on my dad's Macbook, and it was recognized immediately, so I don't think it is the phone. I followed all the steps listed on the Apple technical website, and nothing has worked. I've restarted my phone, reset my phone, updated iTunes and restarted my computer, but to no avail. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W510 and am running Windows 7. It charges just fine when plugged into the wall using the same cord. Other USB's work fine when plugged into the computer.

Today I went to use my phone, noticed it had a low battery and went to plug it in.
I plugged it into the wall with the charger and cable it came with. Nothing. I used my charger that came with my iPad. Nothing.
Switched the cables, used different outlets. Nothing. Used every cable I have on every port I have on my laptop. Nothing.
I've restarted it, restarted my computer with it plugged in, let it sit a while off, let it sit a while on while plugged in. I just don't know what else to do with it. It has the latest update as of about a week ago. I'm a bit far from the closest Apple store and rely on my phone for my income.
