Jun 12, 2010Right now I'm on a TELUS family plan with 4 people and there are no iPhones. I want to get an iPhone and have it on the family plan but also not buy a data plan. Is it possible to do this? So basically my plan would be around $25 a month with unlimited text and caller ID.

Jan 4, 2010I have the 8520, and have no data plan with my carrier in my post payment plan, i thought , since i have wi-fi at home, office and tons of hot spots. I can use my BB to access the web using free wi-fi as i have been doing with my last 4 smartphones.Big mistake. i have been charged 55 us last month, for data transfer use , i ran to my plan´s assistance office ( telcel in Mexico ), and the answer i got was. you have to get a data plan from us to be able to use wi-fi ( obviuosly i stared at her , just nodding my head ).There is no point in having a device that has acces to wi fi networks , if i cant access the wi fi network without you data plan, so i got the lady to bring the tech guy. His response was...naaahhh...it will access the wi fi. but we´ll charge u anyway. you need to disable the network from the phone and only leave the wi fi option on so you can access without any other charge, but this will leave you with no phone connection.
Is this real? did i just spend 399us in a gadget that has wi fi capabilities but will not be able to get on any wi fi connection form home or work, without being charged for data transmission over my cell providers network?cmon this sounds as stupid as it does in my head ? i would be really disapointed if i just left my old Nokia E71 SPhone, for this beautiful BB Curve 8520 THAT DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE WI Fi.

I do not get any type of notification when he sends me a text message and even in the text message list, there is the mute symbol next to his name (bell with diagonal slash)How can I remove this? It's a good idea to always reboot your Iphone so the effects can take effects especially when you are making changes to the device.

May 28, 2012I can't access my list of notes from an individual note. Sometimes, when I'm on an individual note, there is no bar at the top with the button to the left to take you back to the list of notes. How do I make this bar appear? The only way I have forced the bar to appear is to conduct a search on my iPhone for a particular note; when I do that that then select that particular note, the note appears with the bar at the top. But there must be some way to make the bar to show up when you are in a particular note and the bar isn't there.

I guess this situation accured after I erased everything on my iPhone and installed backup from my computer. I searched everywhere on internet but couldn't find anything, and then this idea came up; I deleted all the assigned rigntones, created a new backup on my computer then deleted all contacts and installed the backup but still when I assign a ringtone to a specific contact it's still ringing default ringtone when she calls.. Btw I also checked for duplication errors, there is only one for each contact..

Dec 10, 2014When I delete an individual text message, the text goes but then the time and date that message was received remains on the summary screen - not in the conversation thread but on the screen where all your messages are. Example - I sent a text at 8:30 this morning. The last text sent before that was at 9:30 the previous night. So I deleted the text from this morning and the text went but on the front screen it has last nights text against this mornings time and date.

Dec 18, 2015Just jumped back to Android after a decade of Windows phone (be patient) and I'm trying to change the ringtone for one of my contacts but when I find and edit their contact information the Ringtone ID is grey'd out and I can't edit it. What am I missing?
So I dug all through the settings and found Sound & Notification. When it went in there I found an option for Ringtone ID. What it does other than allows me to set ringtones for Contacts, Favorites or Everyone. When I disabled it I was then able to provide custom ringtones for my contacts.

Nov 30, 2010I have a blackberry 8330 device with internet browsing. I can access all my accounts properly but when I login Microsoft Outlook web Access, on the login page itself I get the message that
'Cookies are currently disabled by your browser. Outlook Web Access requires that cookies be enabled.'I can see my inbox, sent items, etc but I can't open any of the mails. The link to those mails doesn't work, neither but direct click, nor by selecting 'Get Link' option in the menu. All other lonks - new message, Calendar, Tasks, log off, etc work except those to open my mails.
I have tried everything to enable cookies and set the browser setttings right. I have even changed the Emulation mode in Internet Browser - Options - Browser Configuration from Openwave (WAP) to Blackberry, but it still does not work.
