My camera all of a sudden froze and my phone switched off, I since updated it & the camera takes ages to open then just freezes and won't take a picture.

So I've been having this issue for a while now, and can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I mainly noticed it after downloading the 8.1 update, but I frequently have issues with the camera freezing when taking pictures. What happens is I will let the autofocus do it's thing, and then when I press the shutter, the autofocus thing stays on the screen, and nothing happens. I've figured out that if I just give it time, it will eventually snap the photo, but no photo is ever saved in the camera roll. I thought it was a thing with my SD card, but it happens when I open the camera fresh too, and not only in taking pictures one after another.

I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. For the last couple of weeks, my phone has been freezing. It freezes when I try to send a picture via text message. It freezes when I try to get images in my email. It does not freeze when I use or send pics via BBM. I have deleted pictures, videos and unnecessary apps on my phone. I have pulled the battery on my phone about 50 times in the last couple of weeks, once 6 times in an hour. I have backed it up using BB Desktop. I even bought a new battery but it's still happening. Please note, I have had this phone for 17 months and have NEVER had these issues before. Sometime I carry with me a tape measure and I lay it along the lenght and/r height of the item just to get a rough measurement of the item's dimension.Is it possible for Nokia to develop a camera with a built-in measuring tape that shows up in the pictures taken? The measuring tape should be able to adjust to the distance between the camera and the object so that the actual dimension of the object is measured accurately. If I take a picture of crawling snake from 20 feet away the picture taken should be able to show the actual lenght of the snake.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.

Not sure if any other information is necessary, but since the latest update on our phone, after getting into the camera application it freezes and stop responding to the direction you point it at. If we back out of the camera application to the home screen, the phone is still responsive, it is just the camera that we are having issues with.
I got a blackberry torch 2 months ago at first it took pictures fine and it saved to the media folder. I do not have a memory card in the phone and there is no pictures on and only 9 songs so it cannot be the memory that is causing this problem.When I take a picture it shows at the bottom of the screen but it does not save to the phone as well as when I bluetooth music it downloads and shows download complete but when I check the music folder it does'nt appear.I have tried inserting a memory card but the items on the memory card does not appear on the phone.

It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.

Every time I take a picture with my iPhone 4s, a duplicate appears in my camera roll a few seconds later. At first I thought it had to do with the HDR feature, so I turned the "Keep normal photo" setting off. It didn't make the slightest difference.
Both pics are exact copies. The only differences are the size (one would be around 800k, the other one around 2.5MB) and the name (the largest one adds -1 at the end of it).
