i recently broke up with a girl and deleted all of the photos of her on my phone. yet, when i am in TEXTRA or other apps and hit the attachment button the deleted photos appear amongst others on my phone. even more puzzling, when i search her name in ES FILE EXPLORER, i get no results.

I then went to Photo Stream (the photos were, correctly, still in there) and put some of them in Albums in the Photos app. Some, but not all, have now re-appeared in Camera Roll - and, very unhelpfully, not in the order they were taken. I don't want these photos in Camera Roll but can vaguely accept and understand if the app HAS to copy the Photo Stream photos to Camera Roll if you put them in Albums and they are not in Camera Roll already but then why are there 2 photos (in different Albums) that this is not happening for?

I just bought my wife the Razr Maxx HD phone. She had an HTC Thunderbolt with a 32gb microSD card containing music and photos. So, when we got her new phone, I put that microSD card into it. The phone found the music instantly, but it did not find any of the photos on the microSD card. I was able to find the photos on the card through the file explorer app on the phone located in a DCIM folder, but I cannot figure out how to get the phone to "see" and upload them to the phone's library.

The other day I plugged the card into my computer, went to the music file, checked that there was only music in there, and deleted all of the songs. Then, the next day I noticed that all of my photos were gone. How this may have happened and how to get my pictures back? My photos were supposed to sync to google, but I guess they didn't because I can't find them anywhere.

All of the recovery apps I've found won't work on files lost before the app was installed, and the only Windows based programs I've been able to find require the phone to be recognized as a USB device, which doesn't seem like an option for the S5. The phone is not rooted. How to recover the deleted files?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos on my computer last night from my phone. Typically I do this by creating a folder on my desktop, copying and pasting from the DCIM folder on the phone. I then will open up Picasa where I edit my photos. All of these steps seemed to work as they normally do (status bar completed, etc) so I went ahead and deleted the pictures in the DCIM folder. When I went to edit the photos, I realized that only about 10 of them were there... not the over 100 I had saved.
Any ways to recover off some hidden spot on the phone? I tried a free app which located many of the photos that were deleted, however, none of the ones I actually needed, which were only taken hours before. I'm thinking they never had a chance to save wherever these recovered ones went?

In every picture I take with the HTC one m8 I get a tiny black spot in each photo. Problem has been there a few months but I can't define when exactly. Bought the phone in April and have had issues with the camera haze that have now been fixed.

I know from various sites that you can add a ".NoMedia" file to any folder and it will apparently prevent it from displaying in Gallery, but I can't find the actual folder location in My Files where the contact photos are stored, so that I can put this file there - and I can't find this info on ANY web sites. Is the .nomedia thing the only way to stop this? Also, is it possible to uninstall / remove access to Gallery if I install another photo/video manager app?

Right so I know a *bit* about Blackberry's (have a storm...) so I seem to be the go to for a lot of the bosses. As with most work phones, every other application has been deleted off it, eg bluetooth, instant messaging etc. The problem is that the Blackberry Messenger Message button (blue double B) is still appearing on his home screen, even though Instant Chat has been deleted.
My E7 did this when I first got it but after some time I managed to make the videos not appear in the Photos Application but can't remember how.
How do I stop videos appearing in the Photos Application?
I have deleted some photos on my HTC, they have gone from my gallery and the haven't synced to my drop box or anything but when I go to change my Facebook profile picture there they are amongst all of my photos, it's so annoying because they are not pictures I want anyone else seeing!

The pictures on my phone are saved to an sd card and also backed up as described above. Could it be linked somehow to Google photos?
I am having a frustrating issue on my new LG G4 H815. Any photos I take with the standard photo app appear in Google photos and the gallery. When I delete them from Google Photos, they also are erased from the gallery. BUT, the next day (about a 24 hour cycle it would seem), when I check both google photos and the gallery, the photos have repopulated. However, when I log into google photos online, those deleted photos are gone - so somehow the photos on my phone are not actually being deleted, even though appearing that way at first.
I have tried deleting from the gallery, but that doesn't seem to work either and also I WANT to delete these files across both my cloud storage on google photos and on the phone. I have also emptied the trash on google photos, but still the repopulation occurs the next day. I do have Flickr Auto-backup running, but have disabled it before with no change in result. I even bought a new SD card a few days ago because I read that could be the issue, but that has not worked. I also tried clearing the data under the media storage app to rebuild the media database.
I've loss some of my important photos in my iPhone. How can I retrieve it as I did not sync it before hand?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI took over 30 photo's and 30 minutes of video today at my sons awards at school. I had sync turned off, all programs, Google, Dropbox, etc. I haven't rooted my HTC One M8 yet, so there's no other back up program running. I created a album in my gallery and copied the photos and video over to the album, the first option that pops up is to store them in "phone storage" I hit phone storage before I realized what I'd done. I didn't move them, I copied them. I went to Google photos and hit sync, then went back to the phones gallery, I had 2 copies of the photos and video, one set in the album I created and the other copy was on the camera. I was in a hurry when I did all of this. Normally when I create a album I move the pictures, not copy.
I went to Google photos and saw all the pics and video uploading, went back to the gallery and deleted the copy under the camera setting. The album I created is gone as well. Is there any way at all possible to retrieve them or are they completely deleted? I've sat here and repeated the exact same process with photos that are already backed up on Google and when I delete them from the camera they still appear in the album I created on the phone itself. I've created albums several times in the past and hit "copy" instead of "move", then go back and delete the copy under from the camera. I have Root Explorer installed and can't find them anywhere, I hooked my phone to my laptop and with no luck. if there's any way at all to get these photos back. it just made me sick to my stomach when I saw that I'd deleted the pics.
