Aug 20, 2014I connected my iphone to my computer and manually deleted iphone photos via the computer File Manager.Â
I did not have any backup.Â
From what I have read, it is possible to recover the photos (ie, "don't use the iphone so the data is overwritten") but I have zero idea how to do that.Â

Jul 13, 2010I imported about 500 photo's from my iPhone into iPhoto from my holiday, after it finished importing it asked the usual 'Do I want to delete the photo's from the phone now?' so I clicked yes. iPhoto then froze up and I had to force close it. My problem is now the photo's are neither on the iPhone or in iPhoto! Is there any free recovery methods/programs that I can use?

Jul 1, 2012So here is some more genius on behalf Apple... itunes out of the blue decided to delete all the photos on iPhone, it's not the initial sync.I mean most other companies that give a little credit to the customers intellect, will ask, Hey there are some new photos here what shall we do?But apple (iTunes) in all it's wisdom doesn't ask it just does, and removes what ever it feels like.And no, there are no iTunes backups as this was the first sync in two months, so all the photos prior to the last sync are gone.Fantastic, this zero interaction approach.Forgive me but I have an absolute right to be annoyed.

IPhone :: Accidentally Deleted Photos App Icon From It
Apr 30, 2012I've read the previous threads on this topic but none quite fit the bill. I need to re-install the Photos icon, which has disappeared.
This happened while I was holding my phone but not paying attention; when I looked again the icons were all shaking. I don't know how the icon disappeared because the factory defaults don't offer a delete option, but the icon definately disappeared at that time.The app itself is still there and, because it was running when I deleted the icon, I can currently still access it by double clicking the main button, where app (and icon) is still accessible there at the bottom of the screen. But this is not convenient for general usage, and if I hard close the app from there then I will have no way to open the Photos app.
I can't re-download the app because it is a factory default app and not available anywhere (and as such shouldnt be deletable!).The icon isnt hiding anywhere amongst my subfolders, and I've checked for restrictions but there arent any.Restetting the home screen layout to factory defaults presumably means I will lose all the other app icons I have, and their sub folders etc, which I dont want to do either.I have now backed up my phone and all my photos etc, but if I restore my phone from a previous backup, I will lose the data and messages I've acquired isince then.All I want to do is re-install the icon and make sure it links to the photos app that is still installed - surley that can't be so hard?

Apr 18, 2012i deleted some photos from my Camera Roll (on iPhone 3GS) using cable connection to my PC. I then went to Photo Stream (the photos were, correctly, still in there) and put some of them in Albums in the Photos app. Some, but not all, have now re-appeared in Camera Roll - and, very unhelpfully, not in the order they were taken. I don't want these photos in Camera Roll but can vaguely accept and understand if the app HAS to copy the Photo Stream photos to Camera Roll if you put them in Albums and they are not in Camera Roll already but then why are there 2 photos (in different Albums) that this is not happening for?

Dec 1, 2014On my iphone 6, if I take a picture and immediately delete it (say it was blurry), it still uploads to my photostream on my other devices. I don't want that picture on my photostream because it was not a "good one". In the past, this didn't seem to be a problem because there was a bit of a lag and so the rejects never got uploaded.
