I just noticed that in Settings-Sound-System you can have certain sounds ticked, I have ticked them all but the following sounds are not happening...Touch sounds-Screen lock sounds -Vibrate on touch, I'm sure not about Pull to refresh sounds.

Back story to what I did is I flashed factory 5.0 and tried to root flashing SuperSU but found it didn't work so had to use CF auto root to finally get root working. I then installed all my apps and just used Titanium backup to restore data to my apps not system data. I didn't realized it wasn't working till recently. Preferably not having to refresh everything...
I have noticed that the WIFI- Network Notification ( Notify me when an open network is available) is ticked after the 3.1 updateI am presuming this means its always looking for a open network and chewing up power doing so.To save some battery, and alien networks, untick the boxUnless you ok with open network hunting and shorter battery life.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI swear before Froyo I was able to turn the volume switch down to where the second to last setting had vibrate + no sound and the last setting had no sound + no vibrate. Now it appears there is no way to have both of those settings easily available. Has anyone else noticed this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis afternoon, randomly, the headset icon appeared in my taskbar on my HTC Hero. I'm running the latest software. It obviously means I can't hear anyone who calls nor can they hear me. I've had a look online and the general consensus was to download an app called Toogle Headset. I found Toggle Headset 2 and downloaded it (and paid for it). I've added it to my homescreen as told and the little box shows up with the 'on' green status but pressing it doesn't set the headset status to off. In fact tapping it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there another way to toggle off the headset setting or am I doing something wrong with the Toggle Headset app?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the reasons the speakers sounded good was the global settings for sound environments and EQ for headphone jack and speakers. Makes no sense for an update that makes the sound less on this device. PowerAmp has EQ settings, but this does not work for other apps or videos. Not having the global settings is a negative.
The settings for some reason are now located in the Play Music app. It is the same settings and appears to still be global. If it were linked to the Play Music app, I should not be able to mess with settings when the Play Music app is disabled, but I can. I created a shortcut to the Audio Effects with QuickShortcut (handy app!).
Audio Effects are accessible with the QuickShortcut app, so no need for the Play Music app.
I noticed that on my s6, the volume buttons don't change the sound settings when the phone is locked but when i tried it on my sister's s6 it does. What the problem could be? I'm using nova launcher prime but i don't think that has to do with it.

I know how to get to the point of changing the tone: Menu > Settings > Sound but the list of available ringtones is super short considering how many I have on my SD card. There are several basic AT&T/Motorola tones and then a couple of random ones of mine, but I'm not even sure how those made the list. I set one of the tones/files on my SD card for my "default" ringtone many months ago, but it's not coming up now on the aforementioned list.
I even created a new folder on my SD card called Ringtones (because I had a bunch of random folders on there... Music, Tones, Audio, Sounds), but there is absolutely no way -- as far as I can see -- that I can use/access ANY of them for setting as a ringtone, default or otherwise. When I go into the Sound Settings, as previously mentioned, the list is not using the Ringtones folder from my SD card. Do I need to move tones from the SD card to the phone in order to use them? If so, then how or to where.
My IPhone 5c stopped alerting me to text messages. I have gone into settings, went to sounds, scrolled down to messages & selected an alert tone. IPhone will only vibrate on texts, volume is turned up. It stopped ringing for phone calls too and will only vibrate.  It is super armored with an Otterbox and has not been dropped or broken.Â
I turned off vibrate. I have even went to Settings General and Reset the Phone totally.Â
Volume is turned up. Text and Ringtone for Calls was set in settings. It plays them fine when I choose them.Â
I have no more updates available for the phone   Update is current OS 7.1.2

I was using another sim card for a couple of weeks. During that time I changed my passwords in both of my Gmail accounts. Now that I went back to my old sim card I got a message in my email accounts telling me that I have to validate the passwords, so I went to Email Settings but I got a message saying: "The application has encountered an error and cannot continue".

I've noticed even when I'm playing in Walkman, I can't select headphone settings where it has studio sound, concert sound, etc. I can scroll through and hear the difference but I can't permanently select it; whenever I exit it, it goes back to none.

I've figured out that I can hear when I use the speakerphone, or when I plug in headphones, but I can't seem to hear anything from the phone handset at all.
My Torch has been freezing up a bit lately... but I have no idea what is causing this. Is there a setting I can change, or is something broken in the phone?

On my 1 month old Iphone 4s the sound has stopped working twice now. The first time was for about 3 days and then came back on & this time it has been for about a week. View 2 Replies View RelatedTelephone sounds are working. In Settings>Sounds, ringer slider works and makes sample ring, but everything below that does not make sounds. Any sound sampled there is silent. "Change with Buttons" is on, but if you push either button, the little popup comes up normally, but does not display the progressive dots like it usually does. (never seen those dissappear before) 'Lock Sounds' and 'Keyboard Clicks' are both turned on, but do not make sound when used. The phone rings, and voice conversation works normally, but incoming text and email alert chimes do not sound off as usual. Siri sound works fine. Did a power off, no change, did reset (Power and Home held for 10sec), no change. Did Restore from iTunes, then full backup from iCloud, no change.
