May 18, 2010I have a phone that is locked for AT&T carrier, and I want to unlock it to be used in an Indian carrier. Will upgrading the OS of device using OS from an Indian Carrier do the trick? Or I have to get unlocking codes from AT&T or some other media to unlock the phone?

All I want to do is have a browser open (time to time) along with email from 2 accounts, as well as a Skype client (mainly for text chat) and perhaps a twitter client. All running at once. Will that saturate all the RAM on the device? Or should it work just fine.. Accepting phone calls while those apps are running would be a nice bonus as well.This combination would free from my work desk a lot.

May 18, 2010I'm currently using an unlocked Iphone 3GS on Tmobile. I think the Nexus One and HD2 are way more sexier in terms of screen display than my ugly Iphone. I hope you guys can help me out, so here's the dilemma: I've never seen a Nexus One in person but my friend has a HD2 and Ive completely fallen in love with it's massive screen. One big problem though, it's on WinMo (even though the Sense UI is fluid and beautiful) . On the other hand, people tell me that the Nexus one is he closest you can get to a HD2 that runs android. What should I do??? Wait to see if HTC ever makes a HD2 that runs android and is compatible with Tmobile or simply switch to a nexus one??

Draft a txt and then send to multiple recipients without each recipient being able to see the other? Basically the same thing as sending an email to multiple people via BCC option.
Would be handy for business purposes. I don't care if they see my contact. I just don't want them to see eachothers contact since not everyone I'd send to would know the other (and/or want their contact information shared).
Obviously I could copy and paste the same message to multiple people via individual txt msgs... but being able to send a group txt would be way more efficient.

May 8, 2015Am having problems charging my nexus 5 since last night.
I reflashed the Kitkat 4.4.4 rom on my nexus 5 from lollipop after i couldn't stand the ram issue lollipop having.
The following night my battery was at 20% and i left it charge overnight and i woke up finding before going work, found that the battery was still charging at 20% .
I tried with the original charger plug and cable and also wireless charging qi nothing charges and phone is losing percentage and have to keep using from the mains to keep the phone on.
When i use the usb cable or qi charger it says charging on screen then it goes not charging.
I tried re flashing 4.4.4 cleared the cache and tried different usb cables and wall plugs the problem still persists.
I replaced the battery beginning of March this year after i had this phone since launch day and new battery was fine.
Google Nexus 5 :: Using VPN When Tethering
Mar 4, 2014I had a Galaxy S3 on Verizon but finally just couldn't take Verizon anymore so I switched to a Nexus 5 on Aio that runs on the AT&T network. I use to use the tethering on my S3 to do work when I was on-call but that requires me to access a VPN and I did that all the time without out any problems. However, ever since I switched to my Nexus 5 I can't connect to any VPNs. Do I need to do something different?
I've tried using the built-in tethering app and also tried using Fox-Fi (paid version) both do the same thing. Just as a side note Fox-Fi is what I used on the S3 and it worked perfectly.

Dec 17, 2015After updating to 6.0.1 update to my Nexus 5,battery draining fast. Today morning there was around 60% charge and after 30 mins I saw there was only 20%. I turned off the internet and didn't use wi-fi at all. After 10 mins it was 5% and when I begin to charge through data cable via computer it was 0% for 2 mins. after unplugging, my Nexus shut down,and then I connected with wall charger. Red light blinked nearly 6 times and after that there was no any indication of charging. Therefore no sign of charging and I tried turning on. Nothing turns positively and this is the first time am facing this issue.

Jan 5, 2014I'm having trouble finding the proper way to send a .gif to someone via text.
I find a .gif via Chrome and save it to my Nexus 5. From there, I go the Photos app and can see the .gif animating just as it did on my mobile web browser. I then select the "share via Hangouts" option and send it. Testing this by sending it to myself, the .gif shows as it should via the senders end but the resulting text I get from myself shows up as nothing more than a still image.
