Oct 25, 2011I have separated email from SMS/MMS messages.When I select the SMS icon I can see SMS messages from a specific date ~7 days ago, but nothing more recent. When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?

Jan 5, 2010So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

Aug 21, 2014My Iphone4 email inbox is showing there is over 1,000 messages in the inbox but in fact there is only a few and email on my pc shows correctly. I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

Feb 5, 2012I was recently given a BB torch for work and am able to get my inbox email fine but I have several subfolders that I have created to organize my incoming emails. I can see the folders on my BB but can see any emails that are in there, I've checked some of the email settings and the reconsile settings but there is no were that I have found on the BB for me to chose the folders I want to reconsile. Is there some place I havent' checked? or do I have to use the Desktop manager to reconsile my subfolder emails?

Jan 28, 2010for some reason my Hero isn't receiving text messages. I have updated the PRL, Profile, and checked for firmware updates.. no luck. Do you think it possibly needs to be reprogramed? This is the second odd thing that has happened with my phone. First was it resetting itself back to the theme, and layout I had a week prior. I woke up and everything was changed back like someone did it.

Nokia :: N900 Way To View Large IMAP Inbox
Jan 19, 2010I'm trying to find the best way to view my large IMAP inbox on the N900. If I set it up as a new IMAP account the email app hangs for a good minute or two everytime I open it due to my inbox having ~10,000 messages. There are no settings to only get the last X days or to download just the headers or new messages.
So I've tried adding my IMAP account via Nokia messaging. This works o.k in that I can set it to view only the last X days but for some reason it keeps marking my emails as unread.
I open up this inbox in any other mail client & everything is read, I go via nokia messaging and they're unread. I manually open them all on my phone to mark them read but if I go back a couple of hours later they're all unread again.Any idea if they'll be an update to the default IMAP client to give it more options? or does anyone know what is going wrong with nokia messaging?

Mar 4, 2012After reading all this threads about different issues with Nokia, here are my problems with the new Belle:
1st - the backup during installation DID NOT saved setting on my phone so I had to remake them all over again. The explanation I came up with is the new OS etc.
2nd - there is no option to see messaging as in normal view with inbox, Sent items, Delivery reports etc. Everything is shown as in conversation thus I can't personalize my view. Meanwhile there is still option in settings to receive delivery report which I can not see because it is not shown in conversation window. After some time I choose to restore factory settings and get back to Anna. Imagine my surprise when after rebooting the new OS was still on and this is NOT my original software.
3rd there are some other "small" but annoying changes, one of them is the fact I can not switch to battery saving anymore, can not use fast change of profile, if I don't have gadget for clock (and I don't) I need to go through menu in order to change alarm or time.
Basically I want to know is there a way to downgrade to a previous OS or should I bring my phone to the service?

Mar 26, 2010Everything is superb however 1 thing is annoying me and i cant seem to sort it, ive had a look round the forum and cant see this elsewhere.
When viewing "Messages" im getting Emails but its also displaying BBM messages too, the help files say check Filters but i dont even have that as an option when clicking Menu > Options. I just want Emails displayed in messages nothing else, SMS and MMS is together in another view, which is fine.

All my messages have gone When I receive a text, it comes up but once I've gone out of my inbox, it disappears again. I have 3 text "conversations" showing in my inbox, sometimes I can open them, sometimes I can't. My phone is recognising I have over 6,000 messages on my phone when I back them up, but they're still not appearing.

Apr 18, 2011I have a BB Torch. When a message comes in on my phone, it is displayed at the center beneath the clock. I click to open. Then just below where the box shows there a new message that had just come in, a "text message box appears". Now, then the message would be opened on clicking. It will then disappears to the inbox once read. If I go click "Text Messages", I will find that message in the inbox which is fine. I can therefore delete any message in the inbox.
The Problem Some of the messages will not be diverted into the inbox for some reasons I don't seem to gather. These though, when opened, will just show a symbol (smiley, etc.) but without any text. The symbol will appear at the extreme right.

Feb 4, 2010I have a bold 9000 v.6.0.282. I am with Rogers. This may seem like a simple thing but it is driving me crazy. I cannot figure it out. I simply cannot delete 2 SMS messages from my Blackberry Bold. What did I press or not press? I have deleted them from saved messages etc. but they will delete from the inbox. Also, incoming SMS messages appear at the bottom of the screen under the date of the un-delete-able messages, and those un-delete-able messages appear under today's date.

Dec 10, 2011Since I got the BB Bold 9900, I have had issues with facebook on it. The notifications box is checked off, but often the notificatons do not arrive until after I have gone into the Facebook Application, and physically hit "notifications". Suddenly my phone dings to say I someone wrote on my wall, etc.
In the past week, the messages in my inbox will not refresh. On my computer I know that i have about 4 new messages, but the last message I can see is from a couple days before my newest messages. Why can't I see them?? I don't want to have to turn on a computer everytime I want to read my inbox messages.

Jun 11, 2012I have a Torch 9800. Ever since I got it, I've noticed that, occasionally, messages will not show up in my inbox. My phone will buzz when I receive them, and I'll have the "new messages" icon on the homescreen, but clicking the messages icon brings me to an empty inbox.
I've noticed this behavior impacting email (my gmail account is the only one I have going to the blackberry), text messages, and two different third-party chat clients.
I don't have any messages being filtered to different folders or anything like that. Clicking "View Folder" verifies that my inbox is selected.
But here's where it gets weird: if I compose a new email and send it, when I return to the inbox, all the messages appear. It's almost as if the inbox is having a problem displaying the message list, but once I force a new item to display (the newly sent message), it shocks it back to life.

I received a Facebook inbox message, but when I try and read it all it displays is the message subject and nothing else. Over the course of the day I received a few more inbox messages but all of them I can only see the message subject and not the message itself.I have reset the phone, deleted facebook and re-installed but did not work.

At the moment it gets up to about 2000 texts and then I have to delete them either one by one or the entire inbox at once.
