I am close to launching my lovely new phone out the window.... You press call to start a call and it simply beeps and ends the call. when it does this you have no way of making a call how ever many times you try it does the same thing. The person you are trying to call will get a missed call from you as the phone connects for a split second then ends the call.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the iPhone 4g through Verizon. During phone conversations, the mic will cut out for 30 seconds-2minutes. The caller can hear me, I can't hear the caller. I've tried to restart the phone, update, etc. FWIW I use a network extender because I don't get great service at my home. However, this shouldn't be an issue as my boyfriend gets fine service and the problem happens when I'm not at home as welll.

My first iphone 4s which I got at the end of March did this from day one. Whilst on a call, a loud shrill tone would cut in and it was so loud I had to take the phone away from my ear; it lasted up to 20 seconds then the call would cut back in again. On the other end, the person I was speaking to wasn't aware of anything, no noise but it went kind of dead for the duration. This problem was intermittent, not on every call, sometimes twice in one call.
I took the phone back to apple who exchanged it straight away for a new handset which was brilliant service. The very first call I made on the new phone-bang, exactly the same thing. I could not believe it. I got to wondering if it may be the brushed steel protective case so I changed that for a plastic one but it still does it. Not as often as the first phone but it still does it. Any ideas what it could be? I am almost embarrassed to go back to apple again but it can't be me can it? The phone is only 2 weeks old!

have been a Xperia X10 mini pro user for the past 7 months and face a lot of call drops on my phone. Whether I call or answer, the call gets cutoff. I contacted my service provider who told me there is no problem with the coverage but maybe with the IC chip of the Phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe default "Drag down to take call" and "Drag up to reject call" is not working for me at all. The phone is usually in my pocket in a vertical position and usually with the screen pointing towards my leg.
When ever I try to answer a call or pick up the phone while it is in my pocket i do one or the other swipe while pulling it out of the pocket: Phone in up-right position -> direction to drag the phone to get it out of the pocket is parallel to the direct in which to drag to take a call (or dismiss it if the phone is upside down).
Can I change it? Dragging sideways to pick up seems WAY more natural. I haven't managed to find any settings, so maybe a 3rd party app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
i am facing a strange problem with my htc desire c. All is fine but when the phone is charging , any call received while charging the screen remains blank. the ringtones ,vibration all are working fine. i flashed my software from the service center & the problem was not there but again it appeared.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 3Gs is simply slower on WiFi signal vs 3G. I can go to a site with 3G and move faster and load quicker than when on WiFi. Now, I'm a goob when it comes to understanding things so, maybe the WiFi is slower due to people using it, etc.
But in typical fashion at the airport, restaurant, etc., 3G is what I usually use to search and do things on. Of course, at home, I cannot test it as we only have an Edge signal...
Any idea if I am correct in feeling the WiFi should be faster than the 3G signal?

I'm using the iPhone 4 and I'm trying to get in touch with my friends on instant message apps. The apps work fine, but as soon as i hit the "apple" button (or whatever it is called, the one at the bottom) to get to the "desktop" of my phone and I or the phone shuts down the screen it logs off my apps, which means that I cannot get people to write me whenever I am not sitting staring at the app.

I normally use gps with data traffic off, and in open sky. Have two navigation apps installed: google maps and CoPilot Live Premium. Have used both of them without any issues before (on Xperia ray), position used to be determined in a matter of few tens of seconds from first start. If I try to use any navigation app now, it simply cannot detect the position. Remarkably, it does see the gps signal, but no matter how long I wait, position remains to be undetermined. To investigate the issue further, I have installed the GPS test app. It shows clearly from 7 to 12 sattelites in use, but position remains to be undetermined! I should add that with GPS test it becomes clear that the number of visible (and usable) sattelites time after time drops down to 1 or 2 without any reason, just for a second or so, and then again jumps to 7-12... I saw some claims in the internet, that this problem has to do with AGPS, but I am not expert in this and so far I haven't found any good solution to the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne major issue that has disaapointed me about my Xperia Ray since purchase is the "touch experience".So many times the phone simply does not register my touches and I find myself poking repeatedly at the same place. Now whats funny is that it does not seem like an outright case of attenuated sensitivity or something because at times the touch registers and at times it simply does not until you retry once or twice or so. On the other hand, the touch sensitive buttons at the bottom never seem to miss a touch. And when they its because I'v not touched them in the exact location due to the absence of backlighting.
But yes, the overall sensitivity of the screen does seem to be a noticibaly lower than other devices I'v used. And I'm not accounting for the missed touches when I say that.
I am guessing that this is properly a WP8 question, but having the Icon, and being new to WP8 (and therefore not knowing if all of these settings are by phone model or across the platform) I figured I'd start by posting it here. My question is, when I add my yahoo mail account through the basic email setup on the phone, will I receive notifications when mail arrives? I know that I could just send myself mail and see, but there are two reasons why this isn't a perfect way to get an answer. First, I am having issues getting other email pushed, and therefore don't always get notifications from the other accounts. Second, there is no push option for yahoo, but you can select it to check the server every so often- with 15 minutes being the shortest.
I don't want there to be an audible notification. My yahoo mail is more of a junk account than anything. There is no option under settings for it to turn notifications on or off, so I am wondering (and hoping) if it simply doesn't have an audible notification?
It simply freezes at the contacts page and will not change from the contacts page. It will not change screens from this selected page (to recents, missed calls, etc) or allow me to select any contact names. The rest of my phone is working fine. Txt messaging is fine. I can receive calls.

the keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set my Wifi Sleep Policy to "Never", because i like to strem my music with DLNA App to my HiFi, and i'm also downloading with Torrent App some TV Shows.Music Streamin works fine with Original DLNA app from Atrix, but only until the Display turns off. Then it stoped everything.I also set DLNA to never sleep and i also tried Battery set to "Performace". It simply doesn't work.With Torrent app from the Market also the same problem. I tried several apps. After the display is turned off there are no transfers.I own also Samsung Galaxy Tablet. With this device i don't have any of these problems.The funny thing is that the original DLNA app from Atrix simply don't stream the music after the display turnes off.

So fine, I'll re-copy them from my PC to the SD card.But what about when my Google Music syncs, is it going to copy the Music to SD card with the other copied music? or still in internal memory? What about camera pictures and movies? Can you set it to save on the SD card? It take it apps cannot be 'moved to media area' either?onder when Google is going to fix these restrictions to their file system. 10 months later after release of Honeycomb seems a bit long to fix a basic file system function.

I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

Whenever I make a phone call, my line is really noisy like i'm outside in the wind.
When i use a different phone, the problem goes away.
Could this be a fault be with the Microphone of my Desire?
When I am talking using voice input I keep getting cut off after a few words. I have to keep repeating myself picking up where it cuts out. Not useable like this. It happens no matter which application I am in and no matter which keyboard I have active. This never happens on the Note3.
