I just realize my camera won't autofocus, it's only focused on the objects that is quiet far it doesn't work with the nearest objects. Any idea what's going on with it? is it because of some photography apps? cuz i have lots of photography apps.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
For some reason today when i opened up my camera to take a few shots it had problem auto focusing on items close to me, as you know when you tap the screen to focus on a point in the screen you get the circle and a small beep to let you know it's focusing ok, it seemed to have problems getting to this point and there was an audible high pitched buzzing or clicking sound coming from the lens itself and the screen image would not come into focus
the phone has not been dropped or roughly handled so i am 100% sure it's not an issue caused by being knocked, i have tried a reset and a reboot but the issue still remains, also i have done no recent updates and there are none showing so that's not the issue either
Everything was great with my camera but recently I started to experience major issues: When I try to take a picture of close objects or documents, the camera doesn't focus, the camera is trying to focus again and again while making a low "buzzing" sound and gentle vibration.
When I try to take a picture of the room or a view, it usually able to focus. I have tried other camera apps as well, same issue. I don't know if it's hardware related or something else.
As we know it is not possible to use the E7 camera less than 1m distance, would it be possible to use the front camera? Especially for business cards and then scan it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a problem with the Autofocus function. It works fine for close up pictures i.e. I press the button softly once and the camera focuses then the square goes green to say it focused, then I press again and it takes the picture fine. When I do the same for further away pictures I do the same process but the square never goes green....so the autofocus did not work. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
The camera settings are on normal for autofocus BTW.
My new BB Bold 9900 does not have an auto focus for the camera, although under Help it does mention that it should be there.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my S6 for nearly two weeks now, and I've noticed a strange trend when taking photos with the front camera. Things that are relatively up close such as my face end up being a tad blurry whereas everything in the background is nice, sharp, and detailed. No matter how I position my face in the shot, despite it recognizing my face, it just won't bring it into focus. After a few more shots, it doesn't look like the front is auto-focusing at all. I've checked all of the camera settings, and everything is defaulted except for Beauty mode which I have set to 0. How possible is it that this is a hardware defect?

But somehow not anymore and i did not change anything related to settings and neither did i update/install any software.I already had to reset the phone to factory defaults once since the "keylock button" refused to lock my phone when i slided it. This works now, but then again, the camera appears to be broken.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Z3, and the auto focus on the main camera isn't working. I can hear a click when I open the app, or when I switch from the front camera to the rear one - is that a normal sound? I changed the camera settings, cleared the app data, tried using Google Camera, and even reset the phone. Is there anything else I should try? Is my camera defective?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 1020 photos are appalling at the moment. They are just unfocused. Took photos of my daughter seeing Santa yesterday, no time to fiddle with settings. Ended up with awful out of focus shots, friends Iphone pics were fab. So fed up, I nearly missed the pics altogether because of the loading screen.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Photon at the end of September, and for the most part it has been the greatest phone I have ever used. That is, until my camera stopped working correctly! I launch the camera app, and the screen switches to landscape and the camera initializes, but it will not focus!! I have to tap the screen very hard and rapidly for it to force focus, and any situation other than bright daylight will not focus at all. The phone does not even make that little clicking noise that I think it made when going into camera mode, which I believe meant that the shutter is activating (right??).
This happened once before to me, and I took the phone to a Sprint store. The rep simply toggled the image resolution from 3mp to 5mp and back, and it worked. I then left the store feeling like a dope.....until the next week when it started happening again. Now, I've tried everything to get the camera to work again, but nothing.
I've been having issues with my rear camera on Nexus 5 (my front facing camera works fine). Currently the camera and the flash will not work and basically stopped working some time around the upgrade to lollipop. While on lollipop, I tried uninstalling the app updates, restarting, clearing the cache... Now, I'm currently running 6.0 and still the camera/flash are not working. Tonight I tried wiping the phone and reverting all the way back to kitkat 4.4.4 to see if that would fix it. I tried this multiple times, wiping and reflashing to various versions ranging from 4.4.0 to 6.0 to see if any would somehow fix the camera issue, but none worked.
At this point, I'm back on 6.0 and its still not working. My phone doesn't even show the default camera app in the app drawer. I have to access it through the shortcut on the lock screen and when I do I get the "Can't connect to the camera" message. I'm assuming its a hardware issue at this point. From what I can tell, the flash is not part of the camera module, so if the camera itself broke, it seems like the camera flash should still be recognized and functional (its not in my case, not even an option for the default flashlight on the taskbar pull-down screen). I am wondering if its worth buying an oem replacement camera module and installing it to see if this fixes the issues.
I've had this phone 2 days now and I've noticed photos are coming out a bit blurred, i cant seem to find any auto focus settings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy main idea of purchasing Xperia Z2 was the 4K video facility. It attracted me a lot..but once i started using it...quality is just acceptable and the continuous auto focus is really annoying...even when nothing moves in the frame the camera just make it focus again and again...this makes some worst videos after all.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe camera on my Droid 2 doesn't autofocus anymore. For the first couple months, I was taking crystal clear pictures without any problems, then one day the camera refused to autofocus and now all my pictures turn out blurry. I can say without a doubt that the lens does not need cleaning because if I take an extreme closeup (just a few inches from the subject) the pictures are clear. Any further than a few inches, the pics come out blurry. Holding the shutter button down a little only causes a red box to come up, not green. Using the touch screen shutter button doesn't make a difference. I tried factory resetting my phone and this didn't solve the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the mid-night, I just want to grab an URL, open barcode scanner, after scanning, I close my app and I heard a click (physical click) from my phone.
Then I open the barcode scanner again, wait for the auto-focus stuff, press Back and "click" again.
Now I open the camera app, wait for auto-focus completes, press Back and "click". This happens every time auto-focus finishs and I quit the app.
What causes the camera in my Iphone 5 to auto focus to a blurred image?
Info:
iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.2
I bought my wife the Razr M from AmazonWireless and she loves the upgrade from her Droid X, but we're having problems with barcode scanners.
When taking pictures using the built in camera app, autofocus works fine. However, when scanning a barcode using any app that supports barcode scanning, the camera never autofocuses and since the barcode is out of focus, it can't be scanned. We've tried it using ZXing Barcode Scanner, the Munzee app, and the walgreens pharmacy app.
I haven't been able to find any reports of others having a similar issue which makes me think it might be a hardware issue.
My N82 while taking pictures focuses properly in macro mode. (Green rectangular box). Other than macro mode I can see only red rectangular box (indicating improper focus?) and the photo seems to be blurred. Macro mode photos seems to be good. Even if I put camera settings to 'Auto' I am getting red rectangular box most of the times instead of green. Software or hardware fault?

1) In Camera Mode:----
OIS works with Auto Focus
OIS works when we manually set focus to infinity
But OIS doesn't work when Focus is on Manual.
However In Video mode,
OIS works in all 3 cases, i.e. OIS works whether focus is Auto or to infinity or Focus is Manual.
Let us request Nokia to look into this matter and release an update to Nokia Camera app to fix this issue.
