I have just got a Samsung S6 from UK O2 and its has some nasty boot up animation.
How can i get rid of there rubbish O2 animation?
I'm using rooted 2.3.5 KI3 firmware and I've downloaded a nice .zip file boot animation that I want to use on my phone.. Firstly I tried finding the bootanimation file using ASTRO and found 3 files...
/sbin/bootanimation
/sbin/bootanimation.sh (tiny file size)
/system/bin/bootanimation
...and none of them state their file type. I understand I'd need to backup/rename the file before I replace it with bootanimation.zip ?I also tried flashing the .zip file in CWM recovery mode, but I hadn't renamed the file to bootanimation.zip and the update aborted. Would this be necessary for it to work?
I recently rooted my HTC M8 (Carrier - 3) and am trying to remove the carrier boot animation. I already like the HTC/Android bot animation I already have, it's just that the carrier boot animation gets in the way. I don't need to change or replace the boot animation in any way whatsoever - I just want to REMOVE the carrier boot animations.
Upon navigating my way through System>Customize>Resource I find the following folders:
- hTC_bootup_one.zip
- hTC_downanimation.zip
- H3GAT_bootanimation.zip
- H3GAT_downanimation.zip
- H3GIT_bootanimation.zip
- H3GIT_downanimation.zip
- H3GUK_bootanimation.zip
- H3GUK_downanimation.zip
Now, assuming I am correct that the files beginning with "H3G" are the carrier boot animations, I have proceeded to go ahead and delete all of them, except the files starting with "hTC". Upon rebooting my phone, the carrier boot animation is still present, and when navigating back to the Resource folder, the "H3G" have magically reappeared. Now I'm a little annoyed.
So I turn back and head into the CID folder and play around with the XML files. When entering the CID folder, as well as the default.xml file, I find the following:
- H3G_001.xml
- H3G_106.xml
- H3G_402.xml
- H3G_G04.xml
I try deleting the H3G xml files as well as the H3G ZIP files and reboot. Still no luck as the files reappear again.
This time, I try to go into the H3G xml files and replace the coding for the H3G boot animation with the hTC boot animations. After another reboot, still no change.
I have a G920F and the boot animation is not working as it should. I'm on 6.0 Beta and don't think the problem is coming from the beta because if I remember correctly, the first time I booted the beta everything went smoothly. I am not rooted and the phone is completely clean.
The problem isn't a big one, but it isn't working normally. When I boot my S6, the 'Galaxy S6' screen comes, then no boot animation is shown, a black screen is shown instead, then after the small vibration, the boot animation is then shown without the sound. (an the phone is not in silent/vibrate mode)
My guess is flashing a new stock ROM fixes the problem, but I don't have enough time to sort the settings and stuff out after flashing.
Then i installed Pure Nexus rom and it was working fine. Then i installed Elemental X kernal, didn't change anything from stock options other than double tap 2 wake, and it would stay forever in the boot animation. Not a boot loop, but the animation with the circles.
So i figured, i had a TWRP backup from before i rooted and all that and restored from that, still same never ending boot animation
EDIT::: I unchecked selinux enforcing but i still get the same issue. I noticed when trying to restore from recovery it would reboot when trying to flash the system, and that it would not be able to flash the system while trying to install pure nexus rom.
So recently for some reason my Nexus 5 gets stuck on the booting animation. I think it was updating to 6.0.1 or something but I'm not sure, because I just woke up one day and the phone wouldn't boot, and when it finally did it just gets stuck on the boot animation. I've tried to flash stock images and etc but I need an unlocked boot loader and for some reason if the phone doesn't boot completely after unlocking the bootloader, then it gets re-locked. So now my last option is to use the stock recovery to wipe data or something but when I go to the screen with the dead android guy, no combination of buttons seem to make the recovery options show up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got my 6P and immediately proceeded to unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP to start loading custom roms. I decided to start use Pure Nexus with it's accompanying gapps package but when I go to reboot the device, I am stuck at the circles boot animation.
I decide to try CM13 nightlies and the same problem occurs. After searching online for some time, I realize I needed to flash a SuperSU file from recovery that flashes a custom boot.img. I flash Version 2.66 and restart the device. After 5+ minutes on the boot screen, I decided I am stuck still. What do I need to do, I am unable to boot the device.
nexus 5 was working fine.. After uninstalling few apps i decided to restart the device so so i power off the device and then turn it back on ever since device is stuck at boot animation.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy N5 decided suddenly the other day to stop working. I held it, it turned off and on and then the boot animation just continued. I have googled and tried everything I can but it seems to go wrong someplace every time. I tried to wipe it from recovery mode but then it gave this as "error message".

I've made a nandroid backup with cwm. Backed Up the files to notebook via adb pull. Then, wiped factory reset (in cwm) and flashed Developer Preview of android M. Boot on android M works like a charm. Then, made an android M nandroid backup with cwm. Backed up these files to notebook via adb pull.
Then, bring back the files of first nandroid backup to device, via adb push. Pushed the correct folder to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup.

-Boot in cwm, made a wipe factory reset (in cwm).
-Flashed again 5.1.1 image files (boot, radio, bootloader, system and cache).
-Reboot in cwm.
-Now, restore nandroid backup (the 5.1.1 one).
Everything looks good, and no error messages by now. But when reboot, I've got a stuck on logo animation. It took a half hour or more, and nothing. There’s nothing to do about it.
I tried found a solution, but the main thing I've heard is to flash 5.1.1 again. I did it, and works. I can bring back to a brand new installation. But I can't use anymore my nandroid backup.
Trying to port a custom Xperia Z1 Rom to Nexus 5.This custom Rom has all features from Xperia Z5.
Edit : Advanced, see logcat
Edit 2 : fixed mediadrm fatal crash. Now, i need to fix SDCARD
Edit 3 : seems i need to fix sound
Edit 4 : Booting, as logcat says.
The problem is : Google Logo stays displayed. Bootanimation doesnt displays and so, it seems it prevents phone from displaying Setup Wizard, and Android UI. Maybe the problem is "libsecureui.so" dlopen failed.
I am running the Purity Rom on my Nexus 5. Now I wanted to change my boot animation. I wanted to know if Purity allows me to change the boot animation and what is the quickest and safest way to do this. And one last question is changing the boot animation risky?
View 4 Replies View RelatedScreen won't get past boot animation for over 45 minutes.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to look at his Nexus 5. It seemed as though his son was trying to flash a custom rom but somewhere along the way things went wrong and it got stuck on the boot animation.
I tried resetting it to factory using this thread. Followed method 2 and finished it up with "Wipe data/factory data" reset. I did not however relock the boot loader.
I used the factory image 6.0.1 (MMB29S).
Everything went well, no errors, but even after doing all that the phone is still stuck on the boot animation. I tried redoing the "Wipe data/factory data" reset, but the phone is still stuck on boot animation. I left for around 20 minutes with no change.
All the other threads I have read seem to indicate doing the "wipe data/factory data" reset should correct this issue but it hasn't seemed to work.
Boot up screen, is there anyway how to change it without rooting on my droid turbo?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded a few days ago to the Razr from the X2. I noticed that the boot animation sound volume is so low I can barely hear it. Is this normal? Is there any way to increase the volume of the boot animation sound?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I updated to Marshmallow from Lollipop via fastboot on my Mac. Upon installing SuperSU and rebooting, I got stuck on the boot animation. Cache wipe and factory reset - still no go, and after the factory reset, I lost TWRP. I tried installing it again only to receive a black screen when rebooting into recovery mode. Tried another factory reset and reinstalled Marshmallow - same issue. I have contacted Google and there's nothing they can do.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy phone is stuck on the boot screen right now for over than 20 minutes, all i did is that i activated knox security settings and the phone asked to reboot and its stuck now, i've rooted the phone before using pingpong but then i deleted the root from super su itself, i don't understand anything i attached photos for the phone stuck on the boot screen, in the recovery mode and download mode too.

I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
I wanted to root my galaxy s2, i followed the instructions up till the point where i flash with odin with an insecure kernel, after reboot , the phone is now stuck on the samsung boot screen.I cant even boot into recovery modem.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was charging my phone while using it and it suddenly shut off. Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.
my phone has been playing up and generally malfunctioning lately. It seems to work fine for a day or so before freezing, and either rebooting itself or forcing me to manually reboot it using power + volume down. This seems to send it into a bootloop where it generally freezes during the Samsung animation with the pulsing squares. This sequence continues with me manually rebooting, also trying to boot to safe mode and to recovery and after various attempts, i successfully got into recovery without it freezing on the blue android.
I then decided to factory reset as a last option, having looked around on forums for solutions. However, I now do not know what to do as it seems to have frozen during the factory reset. I dont have screenshots but the script reads as follows :
dm-verity verification failed. . .

So i have a sprint s6 with 5.1.1 OBE. I have flashed a kernel for root. I found a video online to make RAM more managable and it had to do with earasing some data in the files and reboot. Now my phone is stuck on a boot loop and goes into the "Sprint spark" screen for like 5 min and restarts. Rocovery mode does not work but download mode does. I was thinking of trying to update with smart switch since there is a small update or maybe re flashing the kernel but i dont think that work and the stock roms for OFE arnt online yet.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am bothered with the facebook app not following lollipop's open/close animations.
All apps close and open with the same animations, except facebook which just pops out of nowhere. I also got this issue with my gpe m8. Is there any reason for this?
I'm having serious problems with my S6. The phone crashes, shuts down and reboots over and over again. Right now thee is no way I can boot the phone without freezing. Even in safe mode and recovery mode the phone freezes.
I had these problems before and returned the phone. They 'flashed' the firmware and checked all the harware (no problems). The phone worked properly for two weeks but then all of a sudden the problems were back.
I want to make backups before I return the phone again but that's simply not possible. If that's not possible I prefer erasing everything somehow, without making any backups. I still have my backups from a couple of weeks ago.
I've had my SGS5 for a month now - great phone.
But suddenly today the backlight went out, i pulled the battery, waited a couple of minutes, reinserted it and turned the phone back on.
I can barely see the Samsung logo, it looks like the screen is set to 1% brightness (as close to complete dark as it will go). I hear the boot sound, but it's just to dark/black to do anything from here.
Is my device faulty? I cant enter recovery mode because it's nearly pitch black.
I want to just boot twrp (fastboot boot ..... ) not flash, so I can install xposed without tripping know or anything

I also did factory rest after installing also cleared cache but nothing happens. I tried France stock ROM 5.1.1 XEF I guess also UK BTE but I got same results.. but I can install custom ROM and it works fine but I need to return my phone but can't until it's on stock ROM.
It also says dm-verity verification failed. I just need to boot with stock ROM other error or warning messages don't matter..
