I have come to go into the gallery on my S6E today and it is suddenly showing 'No Items'?The photos are still on the phone as I can see them in file explorer but the gallery app doesn't seem to want to see them!I have tried clearing the cache of the gallery app and also restarting the media scanning service and also rebooting but nothing seems to work.
View 6 RepliesI have only had my Edge 4 days i noticed this morning my pictures were not showing in the gallery. I tried restarting and still not showing. They are on the device storage though. But i can not figure out how to get them back to the gallery. Strangely enough, the pictures I took yesterday are in the gallery.
I have called Tmobile and Samsung both Are unsure of the issue. This is my last effort to get the problem resolved with this phone before I reset it. How to resolve this or is a reset needed?
I'm trying to save picture messages from my default Samsung text messaging app and Google Chrome and they aren't showing in my album.. Instead going to download folder and once they are their I can't even share them. I got to screen shot It.. This wasn't happening before
View 8 Replies View RelatedEvery day I seem to be getting the Spotify icon saved as an image (low res) in my Gallery. I delete it, and then it comes back the next day. I had a quick online search and I see that I am not alone. My phone is running standard launcher so I haven't changed anything on the phone, apart from usual wallpapers and personalisations.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my S6 Edge for about 2 weeks now and have loved every moment of its ownership.I came from a HTC M8 where I could go into the gallery and hide albums from not being seen !? After transferring everything from my M8 to the S6 I for the life me cannot hide any albums. Of course each time a friend or buddy wants to see my new phone I'm so paranoid of them going into the gallery to see " pictures " they shouldn't be seeing !?
Is it me os there no way to hide this unlike my old M8 you can just click a tab here or there and its hidden ?? Oh by the way don't bother asking what pictures wink wink !??
I have a S6 edge and a PC running Windows 7.
Goal: When plugging the phone into my PC it will downloads all the pictures in the “Gallery”(only) to a designated folder of my choosing via Windows 7’s “import pictures and video”.
I have not been able to accomplish this simple task. When I plug my phone in to my PC it usually says there are no new pictures (when there actually are new pictures). If I open the “Gallery” and then plug the phone in to the PC, it then precedes to scan the phone’s entire drive for new pictures. This takes a while it does get the photos from the “Gallery” along with tons of unwanted photos scattered throughout the phone’s drive.
Is there any way to direct Windows “import pictures and videos” to a specific folder(DCIM/Camera)? This worked extremely effectively with iPhone 5, but I’m thinking it can’t be done with the S6. It was super simple; just plug it in and presto, done.
Do have to use a 3rd party app to accomplish this with the S6?
On all my previous Samsung Galaxy phones I could display my Picasa photos in the gallery, but I cannot work out how to do this with the S6 Edge (or even if it can be done)? I liked the feature because it meant I had access to all photos in 1 place... if this can be done on S6 Edge?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the samsung s6 edge and I keep finding random black/blank images saved in my gallery. There are are usually about 10-20 each day. At first i thought it might be a security feature that takes a photo when someone attempts to unlock the phone using the fingerprint scan but i tested this and it didn't work. I'm not sure why this is happening and i cant find any other mentions on this issue online.

I restore a bunch of photo's and put them in DCIM > Camera folder along with the other pictures I've take, but those don't show up either. The only pictures that show up in the gallery are those that I take with the Camera. I checked the other folders for the .nomedia file, and I don't see it.

View 12 Replies View RelatedYesterday I bought a 16GB sd card and i inserted it into my phone samsung S5 and then I went to a party and I took some pictures which were automatically stored in sd card . when I came back to home I took out my SD card and reinserted it then my pictures were not visible in gallery . I checked into the my file folder in which opened sd card folder and checked everywhere there were not photos but some files which i opened and it wasn't opening there was written that no apps can perform this action . i switched the phone off and then restarted it no picture is visible. what is the solution ? how can i get my photos again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was saving my Samsung Galaxy S5 holiday pictures onto a micro SD card, but nearly all can only be seen as an icon that looks like a lightning bolt going through a Droid image. If I open "My Files" in the Applications folder, the photos are present (but not visible) as jpeg files. When I open the SD card in my PC each jpeg is present as a 2GB file (approx.), but again, can't be opened. How do I get to se my holiday snaps?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi loaded an app called "CLEAN SWEEP, and " Whats APP".. does any one of these apps change some properties that are hard to find that now makes any of my pictures i download from my messaging app, or camera go straight to "MY FILES" instead of showing in MY GALLERY like they used to do. I have deleted the old download folder to see if it wold start a new one , and it did, but still is not showing up in my gallery, just my files. the only pics showing up in my gallery are the ones on my sd card.
View 19 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, I cannot get the weather to show up on the edge screen along with the time and date.
What I've tried:
* Going to Settings > Edge Screen > Information Stream (switched to on) > Weather (with Edge screen switched to "On")
* Going to the Weather Widget > More > Settings > Edge Screen set to on and Use Current Location set to on as well.
The odd thing is that I did see the weather show up on the edge screen just once before, but how to get it back again.
I was using Google maps today and its showing my location 5 km from my home when I'm sitting at home! I've tried hi accuracy mode in the settings, wiped the cache, ininstalled maps. All without success. Even Google earth is reporting the wrong location. what I can do to resolve it? Factory reset? How good a job does the restore feature on the pc version of smart switch do at restoring the phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got the HTC one yesterday and have been trying to add my Gmail account to the mail app. I've already added my hotmail account to the mail app and i can see my mail. But after adding my gmail account to the mail app it doesn't display my emails from gmail. It just says no mail pull down to refresh". Yes I know I can use the Gmail app to access my gmail items but I like having all my email accounts in the same app.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have an lg g3 phone, but since last week all the photos stored in the internal memory are not showing at gallery app. I already rebooted the phone, check for updates, took out the battery, and nothing looks like the photos are gone.
but if i review the files stored, the pictures are there, just they do not appear in GALLERY.
the gallery app which was included isn't showing any pictures, which is extremly annoying, because many apps, like facebook apps, just show a black screen when I select "upload from gallery" If I open up the Gallery app the screen is just black and no pictures are displayed, only the exit and option buttons. Same problem is with the video app... I've already reseted it three times, but still no change.... And the crazy thing is, that with the photo browser app I'm able to see the pictures... Also there's a problem with switching the ring and alarm-tone. Exactly the same thing, I Do have music on my phone and the player is working... But I can't choose another tone for alarmtone, won't open fricking folder.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a HTC One M8. I have a problem with Dropbox (or my understanding of the way it works on HTC). As I understand it and from my previous experience with Samsung - pictures which are synchronised to Dropbox - are stored in 2 folders:
1) Camera Uploads.
2) Photos
Each directory of which is synchronised and viewable in your phone "Gallery". I previously used the HTC Transfer Tool to move stuff from my old phone to the new HTC.
I will add though I am pretty sure that the "integration" works in this manner. The pictures on Dropbox are not synchronising/showing up in my "Gallery" in the HTC One M8. Not showing up as Albums, Timeline, Events etc.
New 1320 running WP8.1. When I got it, I stuck in an old Micro SD card I had.It worked OK, but I had a new,bigger one on the way.That turned up today.
When I try to sync pics from my PC, they are added.But they do not show up in the gallery.The folders do not appear at all, BUT I have the Photos live tile set up to show Favourites...as I add and remove folders, the Favourites list get shorter or longer.
Add videos, appear straight away, same with music.
The same photos are on the other SD card I used and they were fine
Reformatted card ,same thing . In Storage Sense they are showing up as Other rather than Photos
Ever since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.
