Galaxy S6 :: Option To Append Location Information To Photos
May 20, 2015
On my old S4 also on Lollipop I use to be able to get the camera images named with the location information appended to them. I don't seem to find the option on my S6.
I noticed the geo-location tag for my photos are quite a bit off from where my actual location is. Even though the pin is properly positioned on the actual location, the street name and house number are quite a bit off. Did they do this on purpose? The actual street that shows up on the detailed information for the picture is about 2 blocks from my house.
My system is listed below. I have LOCATION TAG turned on. In looking at the INFORMATION on the photo, it shows GPS coordinates instead of the physical location (street, road, etc). Is that the way it works, or do I need to change the settings?
I have a Sprint HTC One not rooted. The Facebook app stores pictures I save from it in the same folder as my camera shots. I would like to change it to the download folder if I could. I just can't seem to find an option for this.
I thought it was saving pictures sent in text messages to the SD card. After all it says it is saving to SD card rather than phone internal storage. But it isn't. None of the photos are on the external SD card and they do not appear when I attempt to move the files under settings-storage-move to SD card. I noticed there is a slight difference in the path names of the camera and Handcent....the camera has the sdcard-ext in the path and Handcent does not have the ext portion in the path. However when I try to type the path into where to save them, it tells me invalid path. how to save texted photos to the external SD card?
On the WX345, how do I change the default location for camera photos? The SIM card only holds TWO pictures at maximum resolution and I am tired of having to constantly MOVE them one-by-one to the SD card. What I want to do is change the camera's storage location to the SD card.
just bought an used galaxy s2. But I'm having a problem removing the previous owner information.I've tried the factory reset, entering in recovery mode and wipe out data and cache, tried update rom with odin and kies. have tried remove all app's photos, and contacts. But in the end the result is the same. Every time I restart the phone, the same old definition, apps, photos from previous owner came up. All my apps and photos disappear. Also I cannot remove the google account from previous owner. the phone says that is impossible because the account is being used by an application. the only way is doing a factory reset (that I've tried)
If you enter the word LUNCH or DINNER as part of an entry in Google Calendar, the event shows differently, with the time of the event displayed. Normal events do not show the time, even though it was entered. How do I get simple events to display the information.
I have recently received a new phone and am in the process of setting up the new one (Galaxy S5). I had my contacts and photos transferred from my old phone (Blackberry Q10) to the new one at the store, but forgot all about my calendar (duh!) ... Is there any way for me to transfer my calendar from the old one to the new one or do I need to return to the store and beg (nicely) for them to move that information as well? Or, worse, do I need to manually transfer it myself?
I received my SGS2 yesterday and, as I have not had the chance to transfer all my data over as yet, I have left the phone on idle since it is first charge. I thought some idle battery usage data would be quite rare and potentially interesting to potential buyers.
If I go to my photos app and camera roll and share, I should have an option to add pictures to a "new" or "existing" album. I only have the "new" option. Can anybody tell me if there's a setting that controls this? Or why my iphone is missing this option?
By mistake i have reseted my samsung 6 edge, and deleted all information. not able to recover google or samsung account. is there any chance to return back all information with fingerprint, as i have used only mine on this device.
My fiance's iPhone 5 has an album that is taking up a lot of space on the phone and the phone will not give me the option to delete any of the pictures on it. I can select each photo in the album, but the trash can icon does not show. The only 2 options I get is to Send or to Add To. All the photos on our PC with Windows 7 installed, so we are okay with deleting them from the phone.
I have a notification always present that says, *Location is set by GPS*. I know that. How do I get rid of the notification? The notification (long press) is from Android UI.
So it used to be that when I did that "rub the edge" gesture to bring up the information/notification edge stream, the time would come up first, then I had to scroll to see the stream. The time is gone now, it just goes straight to stream. I liked being able to check the time without lighting up the screen. Why it's gone or how to get it back.
I recently purchase Xperia X10 mini, the problem is when I shoot photos from the camera, I am unable to find zoom option. How can I find that option or is there to install any other software.
does OS7 have an option for displaying a screen full of contact photos that you can select to dial the person? I've had this on other smartphones but can't see how to do it on my OS7 torch. It's like speed dial with pictures.
I read that if I remove my original pictures from my S6, all those pictures will be removed from my google photos as I am interacting with the cloud--instead of just my android phone. But I need to clear up some space on my 64gb phone.
I have a new GAlaxyS6 and cannot locate the Clipboard where some txt is stored. How do I access the clip board? Also the mobile came with a USer Manual Installed as an App but now I cant find the Manuel.
I'm very happy with my S5 and the camera, but I keep having a quite annoying problem: The GPS location tag in the stock camera app keeps turning off for no apparent reason. I can turn it on, take a couple of pictures, and after a few hours it'll somehow be turned off again.
