May 31, 2015I brought my S4 to a concert but the audio was horrendous. I have the S6 but haven't been able to test it yet. I was wondering if Samsung has improved this on the S6? Or would it be better recording it with the Apple Earpods microphone or any other external microphone

Galaxy S5 :: Possible To Use Camera And Record At Same Time?
Dec 11, 2015(On Samsung S5). I'm in university and I frequently record my lectures, while actively listening/taking notes. My profs will frequently draw important diagrams while explaining them, and what I do is that I type out what they're explaining and take pictures of the diagrams after they've completed them to fully understand the concepts. The problem lies is that when I try to take pictures, the voice recorder app stops recording, so I get gaps in my lectures. Is there any way possible to still be recording while I'm using my camera?

Sep 24, 2015I have a galaxy s5 plus (sm-g901f on 5.0.2) and for the last number of weeks I have been unable to record video in 4K.
The option to select 4K exists in the stock camera app but when I record in 4K the file size is tiny and the quality is terrible.
A 4K video recorded in UHD only generates a file size of around 2MB for a 10 sec clip.
I compared this with a buddies phone and he is racking up around 8MB per second when recording in 4K on his S5.
Recording in UHD worked on my phone in the past as I still have 4K videos in my memory card so something changed went wrong. HD and Full HD record fine for me.
I reset the camera settings, wiped the cache partition, rebooted phone, removed battery and memory card, changed storage location to internal memory, and finally installed the Google Camera app but there is no 4K setting available in there.

Jun 5, 2011Recording is fine with the stock camera app, BUT none of the other market apps I've tried can record in HD. e.g. 'aLapRecorderHD', 'Daily Roads Voyager', etc. The market Apps seems to record OK @ 720x480 or anything below.All of the apps I've tried produce corrupt HD video with green artefacts all over the screen. They all work OK on my Nexus1 @ both 720p & 1080pCould anyone with a newer firmware?, try one of the above market apps and see if HD video can be recorded?

May 24, 2012I can record multiple times 59.59 but never more than this. It's not space because I don't delete the other records so. In the phone it says you can record up to 5h12 in 720 x 480 and in HD 1h02. But it stops always on 59.59.

Is it something I am missing, or has an update taken this feature out? I don't understand how it can just suddenly disappear from the UI without it being an upate that took it out.
