Jun 24, 2015I'm thinking about buying a wireless charging pad and was curious if wireless charging works well with the Defender case on the phone.

View 23 RepliesI recently got the nexus 5 and I have a tpu case from T-Mobile. Does any know if wireless charging will still work?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been looking to buy a wireless charging shell (CC-3041) for my new Lumia 820.
According to this website [URL]... global/products/accessory/cc-3041/ there are SEVEN different colours including purple and grey. Yet every where I look the range on offer is only the FIVE colours except for purple and grey! Where are they?
Nokia shouldnt give out false pretences if the purples and greys aren't meant to be for sale. Anyone know where they have disappeared to? And if there are for sale, anyone know where to buy them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedGot my Defender the other day. I noticed that when the phone is in the case the proximity sensor stops working. I take the phone out and it work fine. I emailed Otterbox and the guy said to clean the plastic window. Really?? you dont think I tried that before sending the email? I am going to try my brothers case to see if its the case. My brother told me that he had the proximity sensor issue before the case and now his works fine. My last step is to reload 4.0.1 but I have to figure out how to get a video off the phone first.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI brought a Samsung wireless charger. The first few days, it worked flawlessly, but today when putting the phone on at 27%, when it hit around 85-90%, it started saying "Wireless charging have stopped" even tho it still charges. It's annoying, cause the screen light up, it vibrates and I get notification about it, but it starts charging right after?
Do you think this is a phone or wireless charger problem? Also, will this hurt my battery in any way? I mean if I leave it overnight, would it hurt the battery that the battery start charging, stopping again and then start again? This is around every sec or so.
Every night I leave my S6 on the wireless charger, in the morning its always around 90% full, and not charging. Does the wireless charging take it up to 100% then stop charging, not even doing a trickle charge?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI charge my phones overnight with the power off. My old phone,an HTC DNA, had to be precisely placed in the same counterintuitive position (up and to the left) for the Nokia DT-900 white charging light to blink and DNA green fully charged light to go off at 100%. The phone would no longer charge and therefore cool down.
Unfortunately, I now wake up with my S6 charging light on as well as the constant white charging light on the DT-900. Need exact alignment that allows for the charger and phone to stop charging at 100% and have the indicator lights work properly?
The S6 doesn't get nearly as hot as the DNA on constant charge. However, I figure it would be a little better if the charger just shut off when done.
Ping pong... Ping pong. All night! Only way to disable is to turn notification volume to 0 which I cannot do as I am on call via an app. Do not disturb doesn't work either.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI picked up my S6 yesterday and also got the Samsung wireless charging plate with it.
The problem I'm facing is that when ever the phone screen turns off (whether it's me turning it off or the screen timing out) the wireless charging pauses, stops and then starts again giving this little beep sound. I thought nothing of it and left it 'charging' overnight and in the morning it had charged from 8% to 3%...
Is there something I'm not doing right? Should it wirelessly charge while the screen is off?
Samsung G6S on verizon, using verizon wireless charger. for months, all was well until updating the phone a few days ago (to G920VVRU3BOG5). now the phone will no longer charge wirelessly.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've tried the S6 on the Google and Nokia wireless charging pads and the screen illuminates every few seconds. This is especially annoying at night. I don't have the option to keep awake while charging selected and this doesn't happen with the plug-in charger.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? I also own a Nexus 6 and I don't have that issue with either charging pad.
I have a samsung wireless charging pad and i charge my g920f with it every night since i bought it a week ago. It was charging well in about 3 hours from 0%, but now it is charging very slow (25% in 8 hours) and it is heating. I installed an app to see cpu states, it is 99% on 800mhz. I tried changing cables and chargers but nothing worked. Charging with microusb works just fine. If i turn off the s6, wireless charging works as normal. I don't have root nor modified the system in past and i don't plan on rooting. I have latest 5.1.1 from romania(vodafone).
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis annoying issue just started in the last few days. I use wireless charging almost exclusively including in the car. Once the phone is completely charged it cycles between charging and not charging. Every time it starts charging again it wakes the screen up and does the charging started notification which means a I get a notification sound about every minute or so.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a official samsung charger and fast charging adapter and just bought the Samsung official wireless Charging pad. I have had a problem with it charging, it charges consistently but takes a very long time to charge (more then it is supposed to) ex: it says it will take 2 hrs and 24 mins to full charge and ends up taking 4 hours to charge! My charging cable has been acting up lately and was wondering If that was the problem? I have been charging without case on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Tylt Vu at home and at work, and they charge my phone relatively quickly from ~70% to 100% without issue daily in the case.
The other day I put my phone on the home one at ~40% and picked it up hours later and it hadn't charged at all (probably lost a few %, I forget). I thought it was a fluke but yesterday I had the same thing at work when the battery was between 50-60%.
I've seen the issue at home at the tylt vu charger stayed constant green like it was charging. Yesterday at work, it was blinking in loops in red and putting it in day dream (while plugged in) seemed to correct the issue. Daydream stops notifications from showing up though and isn't what I want. I like the ACDisplay app blinking notifications at me MotoX style, especially at work.
So far when having the issue I've tried
- rebooting the phone
- rebooting the wireless charger
- the vu charger has a proprietary cable, so I can't use the Samsung one on it
- took phone out of case to ensure it wasn't a case issue
- installed latest update from VZ (wifi calling one), just to say I have latest updates
There is a this similar Note 5 thread without much resolution, but the forum won't let me post a link to it b/c my post count is too low forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-5/580972-wireless-charging-works-above-50-a.html
trying a variety of wireless chargers? Is there a daydream app that I can choose which notifications it will show me? I looked at dashclock and briefly at the appstore yesterday but didn't find something that fit the bill. I need to see Hangouts, Touchdown, etc.
Any way to disable the wireless charging sound without rooting or silencing all notifications? This is pretty annoying not being able to turn it off. The first notification when I place the phone on the charger I'm fine with. It's the ones throughout the night that wake me. I've read when it's up to charge and trickling back down, or getting hot and pausing charges is why this happens. The only solution I found is rooting, which I rather not do until Knox isn't tripped.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm in Oz using Telstra 4G. I have some apps which refuse to believe there is an internet connection - they have worked in the past on 4G, but they don't any more, even on full bars. If I use a browser though, I can confirm internet connection. Examples are CommBank, St George Banking, Parkmobile. Facebook is inconsistent - often not loading photos.
I'm new to Android - on Apple you could select which apps do or don't have mobile access. On Android I think the closest thing is to Restrict Background Data which is not applicable here because the app is in the foreground (it's not restricted in any case)
Ive been trying to set up the wireless mobile hotspot to work with my laptop. I can get my laptop to connect to the hotspot and authenticate ok but its status never progresses past 'local only' so I have no access to the internet. I cant see anything wrong with my settings either phone or laptop side, and USB tethering works fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the car dock, which I really like (I had one of my original Atrix 4G) I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for a protective case for the phone that will work with the car dock. I prefer the thinner silicon varity, buy I really want one that will fit with the car dock. Looking at the dock there seems to be a removable insert to be able to accomodate a thicker case.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter recently buying a new Milestone outright I'm looking to protect the hell out of it. I currently have purchased a hard case for the phone itself (seidio innocase) as well as a screen protector. Now the next thing that I am looking for is a good Vertical case/pouch.The thing is that it must be vertical and it must be open at the top (I don't want a cover at all.I want to be able to slide the phone in and out easily). I also must have a belt clip on it.I have found a few online, but for what reviews that I have read stated that they are hard to get the phone in and out of when the phone is naked (no case on it). Since I am planning to have the phone in a hard case at all times that particular case will not work for me.
I have seen the pDair case and it looks good, but $28 USD plus shipping (to Canada) I want to make sure that the phone (in a hard case) will fit in it. I havn’t found any reviews on it as of yet either.I know that the iphone & Nexus One are about the same size as the Milestone and wonder if anyone has tried any of those cases with success? As I am sure (especially for the iphone) that there is a wider selection of cases available.
Is it possible to wirelessly charge the 950 while using USB OTG?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems that the only Wireless Charging option available for my AT&T version of the LG G3 is the OEM Quick Circle Case and the only mat that will work is the Duracell Powermat? All the QI charging options whether they are actual back cover replacements or just the receiver stickers by themselves they all say not compatible for AT&T model. I have the aforementioned Quick Circle case and Powermat combo which works great but I want to be able to use some of my other cases as well and charge wirelessly..

1) Testing this on a Samsung Wireless Charger (the flat disc) and it doesn't work. My wife's Galaxy S6 works perfectly though.
2) NFC on the LG G4 works perfectly though.
I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge.
-I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord.
-charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C.
any suggestions?
-Unit has never been wet, nor dropped.
-Carrier is T-Mobile
My Lumia 950 doesn't charge well on the CR-201 in car charger. It connects and disconnects every 10 seconds or so, making usual chime, when it connects with monotonous regularity. That's makes a nuisance when bluetooth streaming as the chimes stream too. Flicking to ringer off stops that though.
It charges fine using the DT-910 desk standing charger. So I don't think it's a case issue, though I have a Mozo case on order.
I have tried using my Lumia 950XL on the Nokia Wireless charging plate (DC-50), however it appears to charge very slowly, is this correct? To put it into perspective, placed on charge when the phone was completely flat at 7pm, but 12:30am (5 1/2 hours later) the phone was only at 64.the phone was placed centrally on the wireless pad, not in a case, etc.
View 8 Replies View RelatedA simple Google search seems to indicate that the Lumia 810 supports wireless charging. So I got a hold of a Nokia charging plate. But nothing's happening.
So, does the phone support it? Or maybe the charger itself is defective...
I'm a big fan of wireless charging and after watching the PocketNow video on installing wireless on your G4 I went right over to Amazon and ordered the NeWisdom wireless sticker. I installed it and it worked perfectly. Monday night, I left my G4 on the charger overnight. In the morning it was fully charged as I expected but oddly enough, when I went to open an app (any app) it would black out the screen then go right back to the home screen.
The phone was still functional but I could not open any app, it would just bounce me back to the home screen. I restarted the phone and that fixed it. I thought nothing about it writing it off as an oddball glitch. Last night I put the phone on the charger again and this morning I had the same exact issue. No app opens, just a black screen and back to the home screen. I'm using a Nokia Qi wireless charging stand which has worked flawlessly up till now with my other phones.
