I purchased the S6 back when it launched and haven't regretted the decision once. However, I've had this issue for around a month and a half whereby quite a few contacts don't show up - at all - they used to, but have vanished. Outlook thinks they're on the phone, but the phone won't show them Many people call or message me, but their number doesn't show up.
I currently use outlook for synchronising between three phones and a tablet. The tablet and other two phones display all contacts, but this S6 however doesn't - bearing in mind the tablet is also a Samsung.
I've tried wiping the contacts and then putting them back again through outlook, but still no change.I've also checked the display settings found within the contacts app to ensure it's not selected on something whereby it doesn't show all contacts.
A friend, with an older version of Galaxy Note, can Show only contacts with phone number on his contact list. It's seem to be impossible with my S6... Is it possible to add the trick? Or maybe I Missed something.
For some reason, when I want to use the search function to make calls, the contact's phone number will not show up. For example, I will type "Colin" and the only thing that comes up in the search is his email address. Otherwise, I have to manually scroll through to find his phone number to make the call. Why the search is not bringing up the phone numbers, but instead other links.
A friend just sent me someone's number by SMS (.vcf file)
I imported it but it doesn't show up in my contacts list in Go Dialler, or the stock dialler. It does show up in Handcent when I try to compse a message to him though.
When I am trying to transfer my phone contacts to my car, the icon that allows this (the three dots and connecting lines) is not on the phone screen. How do I find/activate the icon?
When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4
I assigned pics to a bunch of my contacts and was pleased to see they synced over to my Exchange account. All of my Android phones I've had since then (G1, Droid, G2, Sidekick 4) pulled those pictures down from Exchange once I set up my contact sync and showed them in Contacts, when I'd get an incoming call from that person, in the text messaging app, etc.
But, the Droid3 doesn't. I'm guessing this is because it looks like it uses a custom app for Exchange, but still, I'd like to see it fixed/added. FWIW, contact pics from my Google+ contacts do show up.
I've used a Yellow pages-like-app to search for the number to my local apple premium reseller store. Within this app you could save the contact to the adressbook and so I did. But now I can't seem to find the contact. I've looked in both the Phone app aswell as in the Contacts app. Can't find it. But if i search with Spotlight the contact is there. I can enter it and all the information is right there. The Edit button is not there so I can't delete the contact from there. If i go into Groups I'm only able to chose "All from my Mac".
I have just got my Sensation and am really impressed with it's overall functionality. One of the problems for me is that I just want access to my contacts list without the People >favourites screen. In other words how do I get a one tap option to my contacts list?
Only got this phone yesterday so am still finding my way round it, but ive figured out how to show just my phone contacts when i go into contacts. But, when i want to send a text and go to select a contact, its hwoign everything twice, the phone contact and the sim contact. Why is this and how do i get it to just show one or the other?
My contacts are there. But when a person calls there name does not show up there number just show. Then once im done with the call there name shows in the call log.
is it possible with some sort of addon or setting to only show my sim contacts in my phonebook, the timescape stuff and all is fine, i just dont want a bunch of peoples emails that i have written once. It is starting to annoy me a bit, so 1. is there a setting i can find on my phone to do it, 2. is there some kind of program/addon to do it or 3. is it possible for you guys to make a softwareupdate so to add the option only to show simcard contacts?
I have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house. When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.
I have this problem for quite a long time now. I have blackberry curve 8520, I got this from my service provider. But since I activated my bbm, my display picture is not displaying and does not show to my bbm contacts.
I can sync my bookmarks but my contacts do not show up. I have backed up my contacts to my sim card, restored from sim, deleted SE account, re-synced many times, each time the web recognizes my phone, syncs, bookmarks, contacts, calendar. Each time the bookmarks show up but no contacts. Tried auto-sync on and off.
My contact list does not show all my contacts. If I keypad a number not shown in the contacts it does know who that contact is. What can I do to show all contacts? I have 352 contacts in the phone.
I sync with Google contacts and my Mac Addressbook contacts which have birthdays input for most people. On my Photon Contacts List, no birthday field exists.
I borrowed a friend's E52 for a while and transferred my contacts, and it was great to have the option to simply click on Show in maps to navigate to their door. But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?
I have this weird problem on my 3GS. This is what happens: 1. Someone calls me from number not in my contacts. 2. I go to my "recents" and click the arrow, and then "create new contact". 3. I type a name (Lyle) and click "save". 4. In "recents" the number now shows up as "Lyle", everything seems ok. 5. In the "contacts app" Lyle does not exist. Therefore also does not sync with mobileme. If I add a contact in the contact app itself, everything works fine.
Anyone know how to put the PHOTOS icon next to the name of each contact within the contacts book? I cant remember where, but I thought I read somewhere about an App within Cydia that would do this.
