Galaxy S6 :: Phone Changed Date Of Most Pictures On SDCard
Oct 22, 2015Somehow my phone changed the date of my taken pictures and whatsapp pictures saved on the SDcard. I dont know why or how that happened.
See the picture below/attached.
What is the best way to correct the dates? It would take a lot of time to change every single picture since there are around 150 pictures to be changed individually. Is this maybe a mistake of the media cache??

May 9, 2010I was uploading pictures to facebook using the facebook app, and my photos froze, so I didn't know how to cancel them so I turned off my phone. After that I turned it back on and went to upload the pictures again and I seen Iron Man 2 pictures there, so I went to my galley to check it out and they were there. Five pictures I think, I can't remember I deleted them, they were pretty small. Anyone else have this or an idea of what happened? They weren't on there before I turned my phone off?

Jan 27, 2013I needed to show the date stamp on some pics I shot on my RMHD running JB. I know the date info is included in the EXIF metadata I was surprised that I could not find a way to enable this to show this on the actual pic. I checked the Play Store and found nothing.
Since I had already downloaded my pics onto my Win 7 laptop, I figured some Win app would allow the date to be displayed on the pics. Wrong! Finally after googling, I found a Win app that would add the date stamp to my pics.
Presuming this feature does not currently exist on JB or the Gallery app, I think having the ability to optionally add the date stamp to pics would be useful. The option needs to be user selectable so that pics can be shown without the date stamp or with the date stamp.
I have attached a pic without the date stamp and with the date stamp (using the Win 7 app to overlay the date).

May 31, 2010Right from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

May 11, 2010I have an X6 16GB, which I turn off at night when I go to bed, about once a week I switch it on in the morning and the date hasn't changed from the previous day. The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. Apr 28, 2014Many of you using DNG have noticed like me that the DNGs are missing the GPS encoding that the 5MP JPG has. This workaround makes use of the ExifTool by Phil Harvey and Microsoft's Powershell to quickly tag DNGs using the JPGs uploaded to your OneDrive Camera Roll (accessed via local folder path).
The following is the ps1 script that you run from the same directory where you save the ExifTool. Don't forget to remove the (-k) tag from the filename of the ExifTool.exe it has by default.
