Galaxy S6 :: 5.1.1 - Kernel Is Not Seandroid Enforcing
Dec 22, 2015
I was trying to upgrade my rom and was following the instructions on this [URL] ...
I already have xtrestolite rom but wanted to upgrade to the latest one. The instruction was to update baseband and modem so I did in download mode and used odin to flash the files for g920f from [URL] ....
I flashed the latest ones 5.1.1 ... After I did that, my phone is stuck on the samsung s6 logo with the kernel error
I can go in twrp and download mode but not sure what to do now...
I tried to root my sgs6 with an CF auto root. This didn't work because after the first reboot of my Phone I got the message: "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing"
I've been looking on the internet and have seen several options which didn't work, including:
- Getting into recovery mode (home + on/of button + volume UP). This doesn't work somehow. - Try to install stock firmware. - Retry the same root - Try a different root.
Also; connecting via Kies/Smart Switch gives me the reply that the S/N isn't valid. This however, is not true.
The biggest problem that I seem to have is connecting my phone to my computer properly. And I can't turn on 'USB debugging' anymore (I turned it on when I started with my root).
So maybe my first question is: How can I get my phone to connect with my computer properly? And after that; How can I fix the failed root.
Additional info: Model name: SM-G920F Android 5.1.1. before I tried to root my phone.
My Galaxy S6 G920I has started shutting down repetitively. I was on stock and not rooted. After it happened a few times I decided to hard reset it and delete cache but it would get stuck on starting apps screen etc. After many attempts the phone finally started the user's guide for logging in etc.
I was getting crash errors for settings and other things. It finally went in only to start shutting down again. Seeing how the apps were crashing I thought that there might be an issue with the stock ROM so I decided to flash a new one. I was having trouble finding my specific so I went for another one found here. I couldn't flash it with ODIN because it was on a zip format so I flashed TWRP on the phone.
The error recovery is not seandroid enforcing is now showing on different versions of twrp (2.8, 3.0).
I can't flash any ROM now and the one found in the device keeps shutting it down. I don't believe it is a hardware issue as the phone stays on without issues on download mode.
I have a G920F. It is rooted via odin flashing Unikernel. When I tried to flash TWRP via TWRP Manager (installed from the playstore), the phone would get into a bootloop. It got stuck at the Galaxy S6 screen, with the red line up on the top left corner saying "Recovery Seandroid not enforcing" or something like that. I had to use KIES to get it back up and running (no data loss). Now I rooted it again, and root was successful. I want to get TWRP flashed in order to install the custom ROMS. How do I do that now? I don't want to have to use KIES to recover my phone again. It is running 5.1.1 btw.
Itried to root device using CF-auto root method and install custom rom, after but after trying to flash it, i got into "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" loop and cant do anything from here. Even tried to install original firmware but still get the same result. im using odin 3.10.6 and 920F S6. I probably try to flash wrong files, but got lost in diff versions of them.
I have sgs6 gm920F NEE, I tried to root it but ended up to brick my phone. When i power it up it just get stuck in the "samsung galaxy s6" screen with little red text in the left top corner saying "recovery is not seandroid enforcing"..
I cant get to recovery or get the device up and running, all i can do is to get in odin mode/download mode.
i have downloaded official 5.1.1 firmware, i have tried using different versions of odin but everytime its the same, after the "nand write start" it just fails, every single time. i have tried to use the hidden.img only from the firmware but it ends up just booting the samsung logo over and over again. also i have tried different usb ports..
Basically i cant install new firmware via odin, i cant install it via kies (I don't know the phones serial number, receipt or the box wont say this, or the phone either)..
Some of my pictures were deleted so I tried to root and get them back. I tried to root my GS6 (SM-G920F) and now my phone is stuck on "Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing". I used CF auto root and Odin.
I would like to know how to backup data? The pictures and videos are more worth than this phone.. I would like to know how to backup my pictures and videos and restore this to factory settings.
I just noticed X10 kernel sources were updated on the website, but still no kernel config file attached to it Is it possible to get it for 2.1 kernel? In 1.6 it was available in /proc/config.gz but this file disappeared with 2.1 and 1.6 config file doesn't work well with the 2.1 kernel sources.
Where can I get the Xperia X10i kernel sources for Android 2.1? And as it uses the GPL license so it must be available on request. I compiled the CIFS module on 1.6 but I really need it to recompile it with new sources. Also, kernel config file would be welcome too.
I just got my new One M8 a few days ago and ran into some battery draining issue. After charging the device (second charge if to be precise), I went to sleep with 99% battery while all apps are closed, Wi-Fi is turned off and Battery Saver wasn't on. After 6.5~ hours, the battery was at 89%. In my opinion 10% drain overnight, during standby is a lot and that's why I'm a bit concerned.
Based on some recommendations, I installed GSam Battery Monitor, please see below results. It looks like Kernel and Android System consumes 36% which is a lot. How to decrease the consumption and what causes the Kernel and Android System to consume 36%?
On that matter, it seems like the GSam consumes 5.8%. When I close the app, does it stop monitoring and consuming power or it works in the background and keeps sucking the battery?
What is everyone else running for custom RGB settings on custom kernels to fix the color inaccuracy? I'm running the following which when compared to my IPS computer monitor, is pretty similar:
I am currently using Xperia IceCream Pureness ROM on my Xperia Pro with Ultima ICS kernel (allows overclocking upto 2.0 Ghz ).However, I guess I am tired of custom ROMs now and want to go back to original (Stock) ICS but still keeping the overclocking part.what's the process to just flash the Stock ROM keeping my kernel? Bootloader is unlocked by the way.
We need support for iptables in the kernel. There are several programs that allow a very flexible configuration of the traffic between 3G and WiFi and save money.
I've been looking around, but I can't find anything to suggest root is available on the stock kernel. CF-Autoroot doesn't work for 6.0, and so far all I've found is root for custom kernels but I want all stock.
I'm planing to use Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit to do a clean install of the image.. If I have to flash custom kernel, any good one (battery friendly and nice performance).
Rebooting to recovery using twrp doesn't happen? I've tried re flashing recovery with fastboot and even selecting in bootloader boot to recovery after and still just boots into android.. Is it chainfires boot.img causing the problem?
Currently using Franco on 5.1.1 with color profile of vomer amoled on n5.is there any kernel which can change color profile in android m?.I saw rooting instruction with elemental x kernel and su 2.49 zip with twrp. is it working or bootlooping?xposed working?
the GSAM app on my HTC ONE M8 says that my app usage is higher than my screen and three of the main battery drainers are: Kernel (Android OS), Android System and System (Mediaserver).
I use my phone properly, charge it very well and have had 4 android phones. None were like this. I have the latest firmware for the M8 (4.4.4). My screen on time is not that good now, around 2-3 hours but when I first got the phone (3 months ago) it was 4-5 hours.
I am on Ex Kernel, and I want to go stock again, and how can I control the focus of the camera? Its really hard to focus something small, the camera focuses the background only in some photos...
Few months back i had installed the Android M preview and then to root the device i had installed a custom Kernel on my Google Nexus 5. Now i have upgraded to the stock MRA58N 6.0.0 ROM manually using the factory images by google. Now i want to know, how can i revert back to the stock kernel. And is flashing stock automatically reverts back to stock kernel? How will i root again on Android 6.0.0 ...
not much difference in the galaxy family that i can imagine (although i haven't dug around to know exactly) but besides the fact that there is no where to place the stylus on the S2, will the stylus or "S - Pen" as i've read it called work with the phones? or is there something more technical involved that will not allow this to work? and if it does work, where do you buy one (or two or three as replacements) ;-)
