View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I took a video of me shooting a paper ball and slightly missing a trash can from my Galaxy S6 using the slow motion feature. I took that video and transferred it to my computer to edit it and put Chariots of Fire as the background music. I saved that file, keeping the exact same file type (MP4) and transferred it back to my phone. However, now when I view it on my phone, the video is the fraction of the size even though the dimensions still say 1280 x 720. When I press the full screen button, it enlarges but only vertically. I've tried converting it to H.624 and I'm normally pretty good at figuring this stuff out but I've hit a wall.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S6 edge on T-Mobile and juts noticed this morning that whenever I attempt to record a video I get a warning stating "The video codec is currently being used by other applications..."
Is it possible to determine which application has it in use? I've closed all running applications which didn't resolve the problem. Restarted the phone without starting any other applications before the camera and that failed. I'm not seeing any information about this issue in the couple of searches I've done so far but wonder if it's an isolated issue or something common.
Short of a Factory Reset, which I'm not fully opposed to doing, is there a potential solution?
I recorded videos recently (in UHD 4K) and transferred them to my PC. When I attempt to play them back I can hear the audio but I get no video! Do I need a codec for this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy cousin has another brand phone. It's a low-priced one and he can do videochat over 3g network with other brand phones. (Please don't interfere with Iphone3g). With my iphone 4, I can not videochat with him! His phone doesn't have wifi. So we can not do facetime, or skype conference (As far as I know). Can I do videochat with him without any additional application over 3g network?

Issues with 4k video stuttering during recording and after when you go to watch the video on my Lumia 950 XL. Fairly certain it's all updated and I can't get the .29 update yet cause it was removed, just curious. I'm actually saving them to my device while the rest of my stuff gets saved to my micro SD because I'm waiting on the high read/write card to come in.

This happens on all quality settings and on both rear and front cameras. What's causing this. ES player can play recordings with no problems, but when launched from the gallery they don't work.
How do I get my s6 to play my videos folder continuously??

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhich Video recording option do you default to that provides a clean/clear playback after transferring the file to a Windows PC ? When I record at the max - UHD (60 FPS?) - it plays beautifully on my phone. But when I copy it to my Windows 10 laptop, the Media player plays it back, but it's nowhere as SMOOTH as it plays on my phone.
Is it preferable to record, say, at a setting of 30 FPS when planning to transfer to a computer? or is there a FREE app that I can grab to install on my Windows 10 system that will CORRECTLY play these higher resolution videos.
On older Galaxy S-phones, there used to be a way (thru Samsung Video Player) to grab stills from videos after they are recorded. I can't find a way to do this on my S6 - only to grab stills *during* recording. This seems kind of backwards. Any way to do this on the S6?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFinally got the chance to shoot some meaningful video instead of just little tests and noticed something annoying. While trying to focus on a batter in a baseball game from about 20 feet away, the subject kept going in and out of focus and when he ran the bases the same thing happened to an even greater extent.

How can I send video shot on S6 right to my TV? I am guessing Chromecast can do this but I do not have the hardware. I do have an Amazon Fire Stick. Not sure if that works? Any other options?
One of the features of my new Galaxy S6 is that when I view a panoramic picture I have taken with the phone I can press the icon over the picture an the image will zoom in to full screen and automatically pan across the entire image so I can see the full detail of the picture I have taken. This works great on the phone. I went on vacation and took several dozen of these images at various locations and I would like to be able to make a video that replicates this same behavior of pan and zoom from these images so I share them with friends and family.
Any way I can convert the panorama to a zoom and pan video?
Having problems with the sound quality of their video recordings?I have a lot of background noise even in the quietest of rooms.I exchanged my Galaxy S5 after a week because everyone kept saying I sounded muffled and my voicemail sounded muffled too. Verizon swapped me into a new S5 and although the sound of my voice and voicemail are better, the video recording sounds are horrible. If the subject is talking it the background noise takes away from the voice. in a quiet room, still noise even though there is no fan or a/c going and windows are closed. I have enabled the noise reduction in the call sound setting.
View 7 Replies View Relatedeverytime I try to take a video, when I am done and I press the stop or pause button, my entire camera locks up. The only way I can make it come back on is to push the home button then use my task manager to close programs. This was ok for a while however now when I do that I'm also losing the video I had recorded. I've had the phone since September 2014. I also have this problem with my s3 but not from the beginning.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just moved from a nexus 5 the S5 and when I plug it in to my PC all the photos are upside down or sideways depending on which way I was holding the phone when I took them. Same with the videos.
Is this normal on a the S5, do i have to get used to this?
The nexus 5 doesn't have this issue, nor did the Samsung Galaxy Nexus before it!
I have a galaxy s5 plus (sm-g901f on 5.0.2) and for the last number of weeks I have been unable to record video in 4K.
The option to select 4K exists in the stock camera app but when I record in 4K the file size is tiny and the quality is terrible.
A 4K video recorded in UHD only generates a file size of around 2MB for a 10 sec clip.
I compared this with a buddies phone and he is racking up around 8MB per second when recording in 4K on his S5.
Recording in UHD worked on my phone in the past as I still have 4K videos in my memory card so something changed went wrong. HD and Full HD record fine for me.
I reset the camera settings, wiped the cache partition, rebooted phone, removed battery and memory card, changed storage location to internal memory, and finally installed the Google Camera app but there is no 4K setting available in there.
