My Galaxy S5 is running 4.4 and I want to upgrade to 5.0 Lollipop. When I check for update it says "current software is up to date" . I have tried to use Samsung kies also . Kies says " this is the latest firmware" I have went as far as doing a factory reset and trying again with no luck.
View 10 RepliesI am facing one strange issue ,I have recently updated my software from GB to ICS and after that the messages sent to me from my friends are not updating with current date ,it means that I have to find my messages in conversation ,like if somebody send me TEXT msg just now ,I should not look for that message in conversation history with that person. I dont want the data charges. By the way I have at&t. What about buying an unlocked 8900? would that help? View 11 Replies View RelatedRight from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an X6 16GB, which I turn off at night when I go to bed, about once a week I switch it on in the morning and the date hasn't changed from the previous day. The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. I can log into my emails via Outlook Express on my p.c and the date will be correct there.I have software version v20 installed, the same problems still occurred on the previous firmware as well.Any help greatfully received

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy S5 is getting full and I believe it's my text messages. The stock messaging app just crashes every time I try to load it. When I do get it running, the message cap appears to do nothing to the pre-existing messages. My messages kept getting restored from backup through several phone upgrades, from S2, S3, S4 and now to S5. I have over 10K messages each with several people and multitudes of others.
1. Is there a way to determine exactly how many text messages I have on my phone?
2. Is there a way to delete messages by date, ie all messages prior to say June 2014?
I have less than 1Gb of space left and my phone is slowly dying.
why the dates and times I see on text messages are stamped with current time (i.e. time that message is downloaded/read) rather than the time actually sent....? Can't see the point in this.

What is the best way to correct the dates? It would take a lot of time to change every single picture since there are around 150 pictures to be changed individually. Is this maybe a mistake of the media cache??

I'm just about to upgrade from iphone 3gs (ios5.1) to iphone 4s, but my old phone cuts out after 5-10mins on call, an error i've never been able to get rid of since i upgraded from ios3 to ios4 (i'm not a chatterbox, but it is very annoying!). If i restore from back up might this happen again?
