Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.

Oct 9, 2014I just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy S5 this past Monday. I transferred all of my music from iTunes to Google Play and have no music or files in the Galaxy music player. Yesterday, I downloaded a ringtone from Google Play but I'm unable to get the ringtone in my phones ringtone library. If I go into the Google Play player, the ringtone is there and I'm able to play it.
I have done multiple Google searches and watched YouTube videos and could not find any remedy. What I have found says to go into the Galaxy player to make a song a ringtone but all my music and the ringtone I downloaded is in Google Play and I don't know how to get the files into the Galaxy music player. There's no option to make a copy of the ringtone or file. When I go into the phones files, the ringtone is not available under downloads, music, or ringtones. I downloaded ringtone maker and I still can't get the ringtone there.
On a side note, is there any app or anything else that is recommended to get ringtones? I really like this phone but this issue does make me miss iTunes since I could easily download a ringtone and it would show up in my sound choices for ringtones.

Aug 3, 2015After using Titanium Backup Pro I backed up all my apps correctly and then started to Freeze one app a day and checked with my other apps to make sure everything is fine then rebooted several times throughout the day. At the end of each day I uninstalled the app....Until I came across "google play services" .
Well after I deleted it some other apps started to fail to run stating that "google play services" was not running. So I tried to reinstall it and it appeared to install However my other apps still do not run saying that there is a fault in "google play services" . So I tried to reinstall again with just "app and data" then I get a warning saying "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped" . So what am I to try at this point in time ?

I've uninstalled Google Play Services using Titanium, but it comes right back.

Apr 22, 2015When I connect my phone to my cars Bluetooth it automatically starts playing music from Samsungs Music app. The issue is I have Google All Access so none of my music is in that app. Is there a way to have Google Music play by default when connected instead of Samsungs Music app? I checked to see if Samsungs app was set as a default but it wasn't and I can't find any auto play options, I also can't just disable the music app. Oddly enough sometimes it will open Google music and other times it will open Samsung Music even if the last time I was in the car I used Google Music.

Sep 30, 2015I seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.

Feb 13, 2015Whenever I connect a 3.5mm cord to my phone I get the message, "Hi, to get started please go to google app settings on your phone, which is now locked. Here's how, go to your google app settings, choose voice, and under hands free turn the wireless headsets option on."
This message plays constantly, it plays over the audio I'm trying to listen to and when I unplug the headphone cord from the jack it keeps playing through the phone speakers.
I don't have a wireless headset, I'm just trying to use a 3.5mm cord to connect to a car stereo. I've tried 4 or 5 different cables and they all do the same thing. I can sometimes listen to audio through the headphone jack without getting the message but if the cord gets moved around at all it will start in with the message again. It will also start a google search for no reason when there are headphones plugged in.
Sometimes I unplug the headphone jack and plug it back in when I'm trying to use it but when you unplug the headphones, it lowers the volume to a "safe listening level" and I get a message when I try to raise it. Again, I'm not using headphones, just trying to connect to a car stereo.
This has been going on since I bought the phone just after it was released. I was hoping it would stop with lollipop but it didn't. The message used to say something different / shorter, but it's still a louid / annoying message that drowns out my podcasts.
Galaxy S5 :: Google Play Services Have Stopped With Smart Lock
Mar 14, 2015Upgraded to L, factory reset, updated all apps.
I set up smart lock with trusted places. When it works it works. But every time I restart my phone I now get 'google play services has stopped'. I tried uninstalling google play services updates and reinstalling with no luck. Smart lock also deleted my trusted places last night and google play services crashed again this morning when I tried to read them.
Maybe this why samsung hide the setting on this phone (smart lock works perfectly on the moto x 2014 btw, so its not L )

May 27, 2015I've tried restarting and removing the battery but even after that I still get an error downloading update notification from the play store. I do have to most updated version of lollipop t-mobile has for the S5 (5.0).
