Eseries / Communicators :: E7 File Manager Map Remote / Network Drives
Apr 25, 2011I am using Nokia E7. I found this deature where in you can map a remore WEBDAV address drive to your Nokia File manager. I have accounts with skydrive, box, drivehq ets. I tried to map the WebDav address and provided the login details. The icon does show me the n/w drive. But when I connect, nothing happens. Can you help me? Is there a step by step document/guide which shows us how this can be done? The user manual provided with E7 does not have all these details!!

Feb 11, 2012There was an option in N8 to store the files on a remote location via HTTP and it was really useful, but after updating to Belle this option disappeared!
Before, it was found through Settings and Connectivity > Remote drives. Is it missing in Belle or it moved to somewhere else?

Sep 10, 2011I bought my E6 a week ago and I just now tried to connect it to my pc via bluetooth. Amongst the normal services my pc found was some service " remote control". Can somebody please tell me if that can really function and how? And by the way i read all of the discussion about the batterylife, mine was holdin 3-4 days but i found out that it was because of Whatsapp. So the app forced the phone to connect to wifi all the time, even if the App is completely shut down. And we all know there isn't a wifi-shutdown function, so the phone stayed all night connected to wifi. I deleted Whatsapp just for experiment and since wednsday morning untill now I still have 50% battery, with some internet surfing music and so on.

May 3, 2015Have a strange issue when mounting external USB devices on my Samsung S5. I have:
A. 64 GB PNY thumb drive (Fat32)
B. 500 GB USB HDD (exFat)
C. 64 GB Sony SDXC card (exFat)
and mounting them via cheap non powered 4 port USB hub.
If I mount any of devices separately, no issues. If I mount A and B or A and C together, no issues. Now, if I mount B and C (no matter in which order) as soon as I connect second device I get message that USB device is unmounted successfully and another message straight away that USB device is damaged.
Basically I can't mount two drives if both of them are exFat. If one is Fat32 and another exFat then works fine. Is this a limitation of Android/Samsung?
What I'm trying to achieve is to backup photos from SD card to HDD when I go on holidays in two weeks. Currently I can do this by copying C to A, unmounting C, mounting B and copying from A to B, which is time consuming, I much rather copy C to B directly.
Motorola Droid X2 :: Two Drives When Connected To Computer?
Jun 2, 2011when you connect the X2 to your computer, that it looks like it has two drives? This might to relate to my question/post about how in Quick Office I see only two folder options (dcim and LOST.dir) that happen to be on one drive, and then everything else seems to be stored on the other drive. I know the X2 has two processors, but that does not mean it has two "drives".

It is just a standard female-usb-to-male-micro-usb adaptor.I`d like to be able to defenitely replace my laptop with my xoom for obvious reasons.Since i already own 3 usb hard drives (usb-powered, no power cordf). Each one a 500 GB unit.Since the xoom comes equipped with a micro-usb input, it seems that a sensible use for it would be any usb external drive, like the WD Passport series or even a std usb flash card?

Sep 16, 2011Why do I have 3 drives associated with my x2 when I connect to my computer by USB?One has moto driver setup file that don't seem to run, and the other two appear to be my USB card and the phone memory, but the contents are almost identical. Yet the phone shows most memory free, while the USB card is almost full (I transferred my files to a 16 GB card and added music). Docs 2 go desktop sync in particular has issues and doesn't know which drive to enable, but I cannot disconnect only one drive

Feb 24, 2011I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.

Mar 2, 2011My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?

Dec 22, 2012My Nokia E7's Maps claims to be v3.09 12wk09 b05, MW OpenGL MN, Map version 0.2.47103 and 'SW Update' in checking for the latest improvements for (the) Nokia E7-00, says "Good news. Your E7-00 is already fully up-to-date."
Just before a weekly backup through Nokia Suite 3.6.36, I notice an opportunity to update the maps and, silly me, I decided to cheese the 'All' option erroneously thinking I'd have success updating 1,800+MB of map data; needless to say, at around 950MB or so, the error message of 'unrecoverable download error' or something to that effect left me with fewer maps than with which I began, including my local neighborhood!I attempted (several times) to download the map covering my local area and, when I tapped on the little red dot that show my current location, the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites.
Tapping the '-' to zoom out, however, reveals what appears to be street lines on half of the screen. Sure enough, there are some 'distant' Favorites, complete with streets but no street names except for major highways. Scrolling around leads to a screen freeze and even the lower left-hand 'x' to close fails as does any other attempt to close or even move to a different home screen. Closing the E7 and flipping it back open does nothing. Holding down the power button gives me three short, quick vibrations and then again gives me a reboot.
Back in Maps shows I have no maps at all; however, I can access Favorites in other countries. Downloading a map for the area where I live takes me back to my original dilemma where my current location is shown, but the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites, including those in different countries; however, even there not all streets/street names appear.Deleting that previously downloaded map and downloading it again makes no difference.
