View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore I acquired a Nokia E51 and later on upgraded to E55 I had a great 6300 Nokia phone. One of my favourite features of 6300 was the voice recorder that worked in the background so that you could switch it on, then go back to the home screen and then do whatever, change the profile, check messages or even make a phone call, and it would still be working recording everything.
Unfortunately newer is not always better and both E51 and E55 have a downgraded (or buggy?) voice recorder that will pause whenever you go to the home screen. So say, you are recording a discussion at a seminar, then a message or email arrives and you have no way of checking it without pausing the recorder. For me it is the most annoying "feature" in those phones.
The question is then, does anyone know a replacement voice recording software that will work regardless of what you are doing with the aforementioned phones in the meantime?
I updated my firmware to 071.004 and my talk time is reset to "0". Previously I had like 64h of total talk time. How can I restore it? I do have nbu backup file, but I can't restore it

I did the install and after a restart, was prompted to do several more updates: Anna 1/2, Anna 2/2, Ovi Suite, Maps and Anna Service Pack. When the update finished I was told that Anna1/2 and Ovi Store had failed, while the others were all sucessful. I have tried it several times but it fails every time.The phone appears to be working OK but the failure of Anna 1/2 is a bit worrying as I do not know the significance of it and the Ovi Store failure is annoying as I cannot launch it. The Ovi Store would not launch previously either ,so I was hoping the upgrade to Symbain Anna would fix that

Trying to install my email settings to my new E7. For some reason I seem not to be able to find any other email setting possibilities than Mail for Exchange and web-based (Gmail, Ovi etc). I have tried to give the email settings program a dummy password to be able to manually edit the settings, but the phone seems not to provide me any other options than Mail for Exchange.
What should I do to be able to set up my plain old IMAP email? I have done that manually on already 5 different S60 phones so I am perfectly capable of doing that myself once the phone provides me the possibility to write the settings somewhere.

When I turn the phone on now it starts installing something and then I get a message saying "Unable to complete the installation from the memory card. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem on my Nokia E63 in that if I try to install sis/sisx (in other words, Symbian) apps on my phone I get a message saying the file is corrupted, and then the installation is cancelled. If I try to uninstall any sis/sisx apps already installed, I get an error message saying, "Removing failed". The problem started for apparently no reason about 3 months after I bought the phone new, prior to which I had no problem installing/uninstalling sis/sisx apps. No problem with Java apps they install/uninstall with no difficulty -- I have verified that myself.How do I solve this problem? I have searched the discussions forums, but can't find exactly what I'm searching for.I want to soft reset the phone or reinstall the current firmware. The problem with reinstalling the firmware is that I see no option given in Nokia Suite to reinstall the current firmware. The Support Software fails to install and the C Memory appears full whereas when I view device information about 320 MB is still free out of 471 total device memory.
Also downloading software completes successfully but through the application manager installing the software returns an error that the file is corrupt.
